Why and what changed

Lands the 2026-10 systematic collection campaign: 24 system x framework cells — b200_sxm, b300_sxm, gb200, gb300, h100_sxm, h200_sxm, l40s, rtx_pro_6000_server x vLLM 0.30.0 / TRT-LLM 1.3.0rc29 / SGLang 0.5.21 — as 508 perf tables, 14,547,494 rows, under python/aisimulate/src/aisimulate_core/systems/data/<system>/<family>/<backend>/<version>/.

  • Tables were routed with the collector harness' own publish_results.py (family from collector/op_backend_catalog.yaml); the RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Server Edition measurements land under the shipped system name rtx_pro_6000_server.
  • Every new version directory carries a schema-v2 collection_meta.yaml: one collections event per collected shard (collector ref/hash, case-plan hash, date, rows, status) and rows = rows of the merged table.
  • perf_data_reuse_manifest.yaml regenerated with tools/perf_database/generate_perf_data_reuse_manifest.py: 248 → 292 groups after the merge with main (24 kernel_sources are new in this campaign's versions, 20 more come from main's GLM-5.3-Flash tables which chore: data integration for GLM-5.3-Flash Ops (GB300, GB200, B300, H200, H100) #538 landed without regenerating the manifest; e.g. vLLM's flashinfer trtllm-gen / xqa decode attention and DeepGEMM fp8 MoE, SGLang's FLASHINFER_MLA_SPARSE_SM120). The renderer now writes only the fields something reads — op_file / kernel_source / tier / frameworks for the Rust resolver, systems for test_reuse_ordering — and leaves the row / dedup / divergence counters in its --out-json / --out-md outputs. That removes the counter lines once (−504) and stops every future data refresh from churning ~750 manifest lines that nothing consumed. benchmarks/reports/perf-data/perf-data-reuse-analysis.md is not touched: no code reads it, and main's own data commits (fix: repair vLLM DSA collector and replace B200 data #404 / fix: replace vLLM DSA profiles for remaining GPUs #409 / chore: data integration #427 / B60) did not regenerate it either.
  • query_versions.yaml: the slots move (tianhaox, 2026-10-27). Rule, now stated in the file header, docs/replay/engine/README.md and docs/perf-model/support-matrix.md: current = the newest completed FULL collection (whole case plan on the fleet), previous = the full collection it replaced, next = the in-development version (highest version newer than current with any data, typically a single-op/model drop) and, when nothing newer has data, next == current (get_version_slots implements the fallback; the a100/b60 override baselines still expose no next). Applied: trtllm current 1.3.0rc29 / previous 1.3.0rc20 / next = current; sglang 0.5.21 / 0.5.14 / next = current (main's 0.5.20 GLM-5.3-Flash drop is older than current); vllm 0.30.0 / 0.24.0 / next = 0.31.0 (main's chore: data integration for GLM-5.3-Flash Ops (GB300, GB200, B300, H200, H100) #538 GLM-5.3-Flash ops drop: 5 systems, 6 families; every other table backward-fills from 0.30.0). Explicit raw queries for the old next versions (vllm 0.27.1, trtllm 1.3.0rc23, sglang 0.5.17) and for the old current (vllm 0.24.0 is now previous, still listed) follow the usual exact-version gate.
  • No comm tables were collected (comm is outside the campaign plan). Under the shared layer a current load backward-fills custom_allreduce / moe_a2a from the previous same-backend version (the resolver's channel 3), so SILICON estimates are unaffected; EMPIRICAL mode needs the version's own comm utilization grid, so the seven *-empirical parity cases stay pinned to the raw 0.24.0 / 0.5.14 coordinates with allow_unlisted_version, and tests that disable the shared layer pin 0.24.0 explicitly.
  • nvfp4 MoE EP scaling re-collected (2026-10-28). Review of the b200 tables showed that for moe/vllm/0.30.0 and moe/sglang/0.5.21 on SM100 (b200_sxm, b300_sxm, gb200, gb300) the nvfp4 rows had broken expert-parallel scaling: from the EP where tokens*topk/local_experts > 128 the latency at EP=E equalled the latency at EP=E/8 (99.7% match over 7,579 series; see the anomaly list in the campaign record). Root cause (op-probe harness, confirmed by an A/B probe on b200): both collectors timed FlashInfer's trtllm-gen nvfp4 MoE on its UNTUNED default tactic, whose tile heuristic is EP-unaware, while vLLM and SGLang serve it autotuned. The collector now runs FlashInfer's autotuner before timing (tianhaox/aisimulate 3b070dc → e0163dc → a8d79b2, collector budget warmup 1 / repeat 3 / 1 ms delay; same measurement path), and the nvfp4 rows of those eight tables were re-collected with it on 2026-10-28 (all eight tables are in this PR; SGLang gb300 was collected with the series-layout variant of the same collector, 778c39e: one case per token sweep, validated on b200 at a new/old latency median of 1.001). Acceptance on the merged tables vs the untuned ones (0.1 ms launch-overhead floor): EP-doubling steps > 1.5x: 281 / 287 / 274 / 260 -> 0 (vllm b200 / b300 / gb200 / gb300), 806 / 822 / 816 / 778 -> 1 / 0 / 14 / 0 (sglang b300 / b200 / gb200 / gb300; the 14 are the physical topk-22 tile step at 1.50-1.57x, present on b200 at 1.44-1.49x); lat(EP)/lat(EP/8) > 0.9 collapses at tokens >= 64: 429 / 413 / 449 / 1051 (vllm) and 1035 (sglang gb300) -> 2-5 saturation cells (EP128/256 at 12-16k tokens; on gb300 sglang the residual untuned-equal cells — 7168/2048/topk 8/256 experts at EP64 / 12288 tokens and 2048/5120/topk 22/512 experts at 8192 tokens, 15 cells — were re-measured once on one GPU: the 10 power-law cells came back 25-30% lower and were taken, the 5 balanced cells came back within 3% and keep their first value as GB300-specific); the non-nvfp4 rows are byte-identical. Known gap: the Llama-4 Maverick nvfp4 shapes (5120/8192/topk 1, 16 and 128 experts) crash FlashInfer's llama4 routing kernel under some autotune candidates on EP > 1; those identities are absent from the re-collected tables (their untuned rows were EP-anomalous too) — 258 / 335 / 519 / 337 rows per table (b200 / b300 / gb200 / gb300 vllm), listed in the campaign record. One SGLang shape (2688/1856/topk 6/128 experts, Nemotron-3-Nano, relu2 non-gated MoE) is unchanged by the re-collection by construction: FlashInfer's trtllm-gen manifest offers a single tile_N per local-expert count for Relu2 FP4 (probed: 220 tactics all tile 32 at 128 local experts, 4 all tile 192 at 32), so the tuned tactic equals the untuned one; the rows are SGLang's serving truth and are recorded as the documented exemption (on gb300, 22 of its 12288/16384-token identities fault in the routing kernel — reproduced by a second run that recovered the other 8 — and are absent). On gb200 the 7168/E384 tp2 power-law cells of the first sglang run had picked a skew-sensitive tactic (2.3-2.9x slower than b200); a whole-tray re-measure replaced them (0.92-1.05x of b200).

Fewer tables on l40s (SM89) and rtx_pro_6000_server (SM120) are capability floors, not gaps: the collector drops the dsa_* / dsv4_* / glm5_* case plans whose kernels require SM>=90 (l40s) or have no SM120 sparse-MLA kernels (rtxpro sglang/trtllm), and the retired DeepSeek-V4 sidecar ops (dsv4_csa_attn_module, dsv4_hca_attn_module) were never collected. kda is not part of this campaign's plan.

Review map

  • Risk level: medium
  • Start with: python/aisimulate/src/aisimulate_core/systems/query_versions.yaml (what the derived next becomes), one collection_meta.yaml (e.g. b200_sxm/sparse_attention/vllm/0.30.0/), the perf_data_reuse_manifest.yaml diff together with the renderer change in tools/perf_database/generate_perf_data_reuse_manifest.py, then the five test edits.
  • Public or serialized contract changed: yes — the derived next slot moves for every defaults-governed system. Explicit queries for the previous next versions (vllm 0.27.1, trtllm 1.3.0rc23, sglang 0.5.17) are now rejected by the exact-version gate; current / previous / next callers (Dynamo's DGD renderer passes the candidate's backend_version, the SDK defaults to current, compiler.py only accepts the aliases for deployments) see no change. Two tests/unit/sdk/database/test_msa.py tests pinned the raw rc23 coordinate — test_rtx_trtllm_rc23_loads_and_m3_is_explicitly_rejected on the premise "Dynamo 1.3 pins trtllm 1.3.0rc23" (an AIC #1507-era note; Dynamo v1.3.0 shipped TRT-LLM 1.3.0rc19 and never pinned rc23 in its tree) and test_nvfp4_checkpoint_lane_resolution_per_backend loading b200 trtllm rc23. Both now query the slot aliases (trtllm next, vllm current), so they follow every fleet upgrade; the first is renamed test_rtx_trtllm_next_loads_and_m3_is_explicitly_rejected. Their assertions are unchanged and hold on the rc29 data: the NVFP4 fp8_block lane resolves in SILICON on b200, and rtx M3 MSA still raises the typed EmpiricalNotImplementedError. The rtx mla/trtllm/1.3.0rc23/reuse.yaml markers stay (marker-only dirs are outside the slots and inert).
  • The three tests that pin raw 0.27.1 coordinates (test_gdn_vllm_physical_lane, test_moe_ep_query_equivalence x2) now pass allow_unlisted_version=True, exactly as the slots file prescribes for raw-coordinate fixtures. test_gdn_donor_fill_pins::test_b200_sglang_gdn_conv_donor_fill_is_pinned moves its donor-served pin from the vLLM 0.25.0 row (6.34266845703125 ms) to the new vLLM 0.30.0 b200 causal_conv1d_fn row (6.083416748046875 ms, Qwen3.5-35B-A3B grid, batch 32 x seq 16384) — the conscious act that test asks for.
  • current donor-served coordinates move for two tables — deliberate. Cross-backend gap-fill (source_resolution.rs, the cross_backend channel) admits every version of the sibling frameworks newest-first; it is not slot-aware, so a current load borrows from the newest sibling data even when that data is the derived next. Measured with the engine's own source report (resolve_op_sources_report_json, shared layer on) for all 8 systems x 3 backends at current x 38 op tables, main vs this branch: 864 tuples, 40 changed, all on the cross_backend channel, only gdn_perf (24: every system, every backend) and mla_bmm_perf (16: every system, trtllm and sglang). For gdn_perf the new donors are sglang 0.5.21 / trtllm 1.3.0rc29 / vllm 0.30.0 rows ahead of the 0.24.0 / 0.25.0 / 0.27.1 / rc20 rows that served before (plus ks_filter changes from the manifest's new gdn kernel groups); for mla_bmm_perf it is one new kernel group borrowed between trtllm rc29 and sglang 0.5.21. The one pinned instance is test_gdn_donor_fill_pins (b200 sglang current conv donor 6.34266845703125 -> 6.083416748046875 ms, see above). This is the intended behavior of newest-first reuse (newer measurements of the same kernel are the better donor); no resolver change is made here. The other 824 tuples resolve identically before and after.
  • Engine-step parity goldens. On the pre-merge branch the two suites gave 18 failures / 372 passed: 6 from kimi-k3-b300-sglang-next-* (they query next, which this PR moves to sglang 0.5.21: static_ctx +3.3%, static_gen +1.4%, disagg_ttft +3.3%, disagg_tpot +2.1%, agg +0.8%; their mixed surface had a frozen PerfDataNotAvailableError golden and now resolves because 0.5.21 carries the shape) and 12 from the four Qwen3.8-Max gb300 cases pinned to raw sglang 0.5.17 / vllm 0.27.1 (UnlistedQueryVersionError on the cli_estimate surfaces once those versions left the slots). Main fixed the second group independently: chore: data integration for GLM-5.3-Flash Ops (GB300, GB200, B300, H200, H100) #538 added an allow_unlisted_version case field (and the AIC_ALLOW_UNLISTED_VERSIONS engine-spec escape) so those cases keep their raw sparse-data coordinates; this branch had re-pointed them to next instead, and that change was dropped in the merge in favor of main's. After the merge only the 6 kimi-k3 next records failed (6 failed / 383 passed); they were re-pinned with pin_goldens.py --refresh on the merged tree (static_ctx +1.2%, static_gen +6.2%, disagg_tpot +4.3%, disagg_ttft +1.2%, agg −0.3%; mixed now resolves at 94.3 / 94.9 ms; no error records), after which both suites pass: 389 passed, 0 failed (the AFD surface was removed on main, hence 389 not 390).
  • Engine routing for the new kernel labels (review findings, @simone-chen). (1) GDN: the physical-kernel lookup in perf_database/state_space.rs was gated on a vLLM version whitelist (0.24.0 | 0.27.1), so on next the model's chunk_gated_delta_rule degraded to SOL (0.00817 ms vs the shipped 0.07289 ms row, ~9x). It is now a per-backend GdnAliasProfile with PEP 440 floors: vLLM ≥ 0.24.0, TRT-LLM ≥ 1.3.0rc29 (chunk_gated_delta_rule_flashinfer, fused_sigmoid_gating_delta_rule_update_flashinfer), SGLang ≥ 0.5.21 (fused_qkvzba_causal_conv1d_update_contiguous); executed names stay in the data, only the lookup maps; versions below the floors still ignore physical labels (donor-only). (2) Attention: _OVERRIDE_LANES["vllm"]["flashinfer"] gains the 0.25.0 / 0.30.0 decode labels, and _source_tiered_lane_walk_order ranks, inside the pinned head, the labels the requested version collected itself ahead of donor-only labels, so attention_backend="flashinfer" on 0.30.0 no longer returns the 0.24.0 trtllmdecode measurement (0.1072 → 0.0707 ms); the 0.22.0 donor-only pin test is rewritten to this policy. Tests: Rust state_space unit tests (floors, new profiles, donor precedence, negatives), real-data pins for b200 vLLM 0.30.0 / TRT-LLM rc29 / SGLang 0.5.21 GDN rows and for the b200 FlashInfer override head on 0.24.0 / 0.25.0 / 0.30.0. Simone's repro now returns 0.07288736 ms silicon. Parity goldens did not move (389 passed). Second round (1206d49, 66450a0): (3) GDN candidates are ranked by source before ambiguity is decided — the loader records per key the rank of the first contributing source (requested version first, then donors in resolver order); the best-ranked physical label wins, a logical row from an earlier source beats a donor's physical label, and only several physical labels from the same source fail closed. RTX PRO 6000 vLLM 0.24.0 / 0.30.0 had their own Triton / FlashInfer row rejected as ambiguous against the other's donor label and fell to SOL (0.035109 ms); they now return 0.101526 / 0.116720 ms. The profiles also map SGLang 0.5.21's Hopper context scan flashinfer_chunk_gated_delta_rule (H100 0.132997 ms donor → own 0.093043 ms) and TRT-LLM rc29's Triton recurrence fused_sigmoid_gating_delta_rule_update_triton on L40S / RTX PRO 6000 (L40S 0.006557 ms donor → own 0.005315 ms); renamed TrtllmPhysical / SglangPhysical. (4) The attention re-ranking is restricted to the override's synonymous labels, so an explicit override stays ahead of the framework-default lane even when only a donor version carries it (B200 SGLang trtllm_mha over Triton-only primary rows). Parity goldens again unchanged (389 passed); database unit subset 793 passed; state_space Rust tests 29 passed.
  • Tests re-anchored for the current promotion (full tests/unit: 13,031 passed; 7 failures were tests that pinned a DATA coordinate through current, 3 were local-environment only): test_vllm_dsa_index_reuse (5, run with enable_shared_layer=False → need a version whose own tree has comm → pin 0.24.0), test_compile_engine_mtp (the audited SM90 SGLang MLA bf16 execution-dtype mapping is keyed to exactly 0.5.14 in helpers.resolve_sglang_mla_compute; pin that literal for the h200 rows — extending it to 0.5.21 is a model-owner audit, not done here), test_engine_spec_version_literal (the unpopulated alias now has to come from the a100 override baseline), plus the earlier test_glm53flash / test_moe_ep_query_equivalence / test_gdn_vllm_physical_lane raw-coordinate pins (allow_unlisted_version), and test_query_version_slots::test_next_resolves_to_current_when_nothing_newer_has_data for the new rule. state_space.rs also gains the TRT-LLM rc29 Mamba2 alias (causal_conv1d_fn → causal_conv1d_fn_token_major), with a unit test.
  • Full CI (trusted copy pull-request/517): green at 0d17fb2 (run 40872772780, 56 jobs). Findings fixed on the way: (1) The TRT-LLM rc29 collector writes kv_cache_dtype "bf16" for the DeepSeek-V4 CSA/HCA context/generation module rows on SM100 (collect_dsv4_attn.py: the only KV configuration that boots there is auto -> bf16; Hopper/SM120 collect fp8), while the SDK's KVCacheQuantMode names that mode bfloat16 (every other table uses that spelling), so the engine's merged DeepSeek-V4 attention view could not be rehydrated (KeyError: 'bf16', validate_database failing for b200/b300/gb200/gb300 rc29). The 16 tables are relabelled to bfloat16 in place (rows, order, schema unchanged); the collector-side spelling is reported to the collector owners. (2) Three repository-level contracts pinned the pre-campaign slot values (test_prediction_pins_populated_version_slots: current == 0.24.0; test_shared_g2_cli's canonical AIC layout: 0.24.0; test_epd_cli's recommendation fixture: SGLang 0.5.14 with a current callback) and now read the slot through get_version_slots / resolve_query_version; the explicit 0.24.0 pin case stays literal. (3) The gb200 sglang 0.5.21 sidecar carried an empty (0-row, hash-less) fill event from a fill job that produced nothing; removed (check_collector_data.py R1). (4) backend_facts.py --check: the op-backend facts registry (collector/op_backend_facts.yaml) had no entries for the three new versions (1,621 fact slices: vLLM 0.30.0 681, TRT-LLM rc29 490, SGLang 0.5.21 450); the bootstrap draft the tool prescribes was run and reviewed — 0 existing entries removed, 1,621 added, check passes at 4,049 slices. 17 collector labels of the new versions have no translation in collector/kernel_source_backends.yaml and are recorded as backend unverified (listed in the commit message) for the collector owners; nothing was guessed. (5) Unit shards: pytest 9.2.0 (PyPI 2026-10-27) records monkeypatch.setattr old values from the instance __dict__, so attributes served by a module-level __getattr__ are restored with delattr; aisimulate_core.sdk.memory forwards get_model to kv_cache, so every test that patches memory.get_model deleted the real function for the rest of its xdist worker (~100 fixture errors per shard, all get_model). Main's last green run and PR feat: add mixed-workload fallback for learned FPM #639 still resolved pytest 9.1.1; this PR's runs got 9.2.0. The [dev] extra now pins pytest>=9.0.3,<9.2 (lock unchanged at 9.1.1); the durable test-side fix is left to the maintainers.
  • Parity goldens re-pinned with pin_goldens.py --refresh-all after the promotion: a current bump moves every case that queries current: 332 records re-pinned, 65 of 82 cases move (numeric leaves: median 0.0%, p10 -9.1%, p90 +7.8%; 108 of 760 latency leaves > 10%), no error records. Both suites: 389 passed, 0 failed. Moves to know: the per_op b200 trtllm cases lose their energy_wms values (the rc29 tables carry no power columns; the shipped rc20 ones were the AIConfigurator power import — power on b200 trtllm current has no data until collected or until the power loader falls back to previous); minimax-m25-nvfp4-h200-vllm-hybrid-xprofile static_gen 280 -> 8.7 ms (both are HYBRID cross-profile MoE borrows on Hopper; the 0.24.0 borrow priced generation_moe at 276 ms for a 10B-active model at batch 1, the 0.30.0 one at 4.4 ms); nemotron-h-56b b200 trtllm +50% (Mamba2 conv now measured via the rc29 alias instead of SOL); glm52 b200 sglang ctx +35-38% (0.5.14 -> 0.5.21 DSA kernels).
  • Compatibility or rollback concern: rollback = revert the slot bump in query_versions.yaml (and the goldens), delete the 258 new version directories and regenerate the reuse manifest. No pre-existing table is modified. The manifest renderer change is independent of the data: the resolver parses the manifest by key (entry_map.get), so dropping the unread counter fields changes nothing at runtime.

Evidence

  • Tests: full tests/unit on the promoted slots: 13,031 passed, 10 failed before the re-anchoring commit (7 slot-pinned tests fixed in 6fcfa46, 3 local-environment only: scikit-learn absent, subprocess PYTHONPATH). Earlier selection (worktree at the routing-fix commit, runtime rebuilt with maturin):
    pytest tests/unit/sdk/database tests/unit/sdk/test_common.py tests/unit/sdk/test_perf_database_shared_layer.py tests/unit/sdk/operations/test_kda_donor_injection.py tests/unit/tools/test_power_data.py tests/unit/tools/test_parquet_diff.py tests/unit/tools/test_generate_perf_data_reuse_manifest_scan.py tests/unit/tools/test_generate_perf_data_reuse_manifest_latency.py
    → 816 passed, 0 failed at the routing-fix commit (selection extended with test_module_bridge_attention_backend.py and test_dcp_plumbing.py; 768 at e753314, 764 at a2b9df7 before); cargo test -p aisimulate-core --lib state_space: 24 passed (the shared-layer and kda donor tests were added to the selection for the manifest renderer change; the earlier selection gave 743 passed at dfb8bbf). Before any test edit the earlier selection showed 737 passed / 6 failed (the three raw 0.27.1 pins, the gdn donor pin and the two rc23 pins described in the Review map). tests/unit/generator/test_sweeper_request.py and test_trtllm_msa_implementation.py (the other rc23 mentions in the suite) pass unchanged.
  • Fast CI: green on cdd74c0 (2026-10-28, slot promotion + re-collection + goldens); earlier: green on dfb8bbf (Python Static Checks, Rust Format, Repository Policy, codeowners, DCO). 082ef77 got no run because the PR had become CONFLICTING: main's B60 commit (c3f77c2) also touched the generated perf_data_reuse_manifest.yaml. Resolved by merging upstream/main (5017955, the manifest was the only conflict) and regenerating the manifest over the merged tree (a2b9df7: identical to 082ef77 except B60 joining one systems list); the same test selection passes at a2b9df7 (764 passed). Fast CI green on a2b9df7 and 569b78f; green again on the merged head b41cd6b (2026-10-27).
  • Parity suites (rust-engine-step-parity job of Full CI, run locally with the worktree runtime): 389 passed, 0 failed on the re-pinned goldens (fa3af16); before the re-pin the slot promotion failed 203 / passed 186, all value moves, no error-type outcomes.
  • Full CI: not run on this PR yet (NVIDIA-runner workflows need vetting on this fork PR).
  • CodeRabbit reviewed commit: n/a yet.
  • Codex reviewed commit: n/a yet.
  • Negative or boundary cases: every collection_meta.yaml passes _load_collection_meta_yaml (schema v2 validation runs in test_collection_meta_schema.py / loader tests above); publish_results refused nothing (all 508 table stems map to a catalog family).
  • Expected-value derivation: the moved gdn pin is the measured row b200_sxm/linear_attention/vllm/0.30.0/gdn_perf.parquet kernel_source=causal_conv1d_fn, phase=context, batch_size=32, seq_len=16384, d_model=2048, num_k_heads=16, num_v_heads=32 → latency 6.083416748046875.
  • Before/after: quality gate of the merged tables against the newest shipped table of the same system x framework (upstream/main 0d18c14): 508 tables checked, 52 flagged, 456 clean; per-table checks were rows, duplicate shape keys, non-finite / non-positive latency, schema vs shipped, ours/shipped latency ratio on common shape(+kernel_source) keys, and the per-kernel minimum-latency floor. Flag classes:
    • 15 x b200 trtllm tables "missing columns power, power_limit": the shipped b200 rc20 tables are the AIConfigurator power import; this campaign did not collect power (no table in this PR carries power columns).
    • 3 x sglang moe "missing column default_eligible" (b200/gb200/gb300 vs the 0.5.17 drop): the loader treats an absent column as legacy-default-eligible (test_moe_default_eligibility.py::test_absent_and_true_keep_legacy_default_sources).
    • trtllm msa_context_module / msa_generation_module on b200/b300/gb200/gb300 (ours 3–14x faster, floor 0.2–0.3x): upstream changed the msa step key semantics; rows are not comparable with the shipped rc20/rc23 tables by design.
    • vllm gemm on b200/b300/gb200/gb300/rtxpro: median ratio 0.96–0.97 but 21–23% of keys outside 0.5–2x, floor CutlassFp8BlockScaledMMKernel 0.0x — the fp8 block-scaled lanes changed kernels between 0.24.0 and 0.30.0; the rest of the table agrees.
    • sglang dsv4_csa/hca_context and dsv4_hca_generation on h100/h200 (median 1.44–1.63, ours slower), b300/gb200 (1.28–1.29): 0.5.14 → 0.5.21 kernel changes; consistent across the four systems.
    • rtx_pro_6000_server sglang dsv4_hca_context/generation: ours are 17–60x FASTER than the shipped 0.5.14 tables (median ratio 0.06 / 0.02). Our rtxpro numbers (context median 1.39 ms, generation median 0.33 ms) are in line with our b200/h200 tables and with the shipped b200/h200 0.5.14 tables; the shipped rtx_pro 0.5.14 dsv4_hca tables (context median 19 ms, max 5.8 s; generation median 12 ms) are the outlier. Worth a look at how that earlier rtx_pro collection was timed.
    • vllm dsa_context_module h100/h200/b300 (median 1.07 / 1.07 / 0.74, 10–25% outside 2x), vllm gdn h100/h200 (0.93, 16% outside), trtllm computescale h100/h200/l40s (0.58–0.76), l40s vllm mla_generation_module (0.82), sglang msa_context_module b200/b300 (0.68): version-to-version kernel changes, no floor anomaly.
    • rtx_pro trtllm mhc_module agrees with shipped rc20 on all 81 common keys (median ratio 0.999); its two pre_dg lanes are new.
  • Existence check vs the newest shipped table of the same system x framework: every cell was compared table-by-table with the newest shipped table of the same system x framework. Tables "missing entirely" are all outside this campaign's plan by design — comm (custom_allreduce, nccl), WideEP (wideep_*), moe_a2a, kda, dsv4_megamoe_module, dsv41_module, sglang mla_context_module, the retired dsv4_hca_attn_module — no table inside the plan is missing. The first pass of this check had found one real gap that the per-cell shard counts hid: b300_sxm trtllm msa_generation_module had no table (the 2026-10-06 shard failed all 2,760 cases with 'MiniMaxMNMsaSparseAttentionMetadata' object has no attribute 'msa_decode_proxy_plan', a collector bug fixed later in the feat(collector): opharness — op-level upgrade harness; vLLM 0.30 / SGLang 0.5.21 / TensorRT-LLM 1.3.0rc29 upgrades and the H20 + SM120 collections proven through it #228 line). It was re-collected on 2026-10-19 with collector 0933cb3 (2,760 passed / 0 failed) and is in the last commit; its gate flag (floor 0.3x vs the shipped rc23 table) is the same msa step-semantics class as b200/gb200/gb300. Shipped-only shape keys (regression candidates) concentrate in tables whose key space changed upstream between the shipped and the collected versions (msa step semantics, zai-org/GLM-5 → GLM-5.2 rename, mla_dtype relabel, retired sidecar ops) — the same classes as in the 2026-10-11 analysis.

Modeling or data provenance

  • Source: measured on the named hardware (device column: NVIDIA B200, NVIDIA B300 SXM6 AC, NVIDIA GB200, NVIDIA GB300, NVIDIA H100 80GB HBM3, NVIDIA H200, NVIDIA L40S, NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Server Edition) between 2026-10-05 and 2026-10-19 through the internal aisim-auto-collector Slurm pipelines (dlcluster, computelab-sc-01, computelab-aus-01), one container per shard, framework images pinned by digest: vllm/vllm-openai:v0.30.0@sha256:8a69ffad…, nvcr.io/nvidia/tensorrt-llm/release:1.3.0rc29@sha256:124da3f1…, lmsysorg/sglang:v0.5.21@sha256:b1259f3e….
  • Collector: this repository's collector at the PR feat(collector): opharness — op-level upgrade harness; vLLM 0.30 / SGLang 0.5.21 / TensorRT-LLM 1.3.0rc29 upgrades and the H20 + SM120 collections proven through it #228 line (tianhaox/aisimulate 8f4f36c → 4ff777c → ee219cc → 3c6b058 → 5c0f54a → 26d0951 → 7716512 → 743d178 → 8a6cee6 → 6260c77 → 244b61f → 0933cb3); each shard's collections event names the revision that produced it. The 18 events of the 17 rtxpro vllm base shards (2026-10-06, before the harness handed the revision to the collector) were back-filled with 4ff777c (commit 2020776): they come from GitLab job 471174362 (aisim-auto-collector pipeline 71809077, AISIM_REVISION 4ff777c…, checkout and per-shard durations confirmed in the job log); the later fetch job that recovered the archive ran a newer harness, which is why the campaign record had named ee219cc. b200 vllm (26d0951) and l40s vllm (4ff777c) were back-filled the same way earlier. No sidecar of this PR records collector_ref: unknown any more.
  • Units: latency in ms; no power columns (not collected).
  • Merge rule: a table is the union of its shards with exact duplicates and identity duplicates (all columns except latency/power) dropped, last wins; shards re-collected on the current case plan (vllm dsa_context/dsa_generation GLM-5.2) supersede the earlier ones.
  • Status: complete for every table; accepted deterministic failures are recorded in the campaign's errors_*.json (not shipped): vllm dsa_context FIXME(kernel-limit) for 64 < per-rank heads < 128 with fp8 KV on SM100/SM103, ~58% of dsa cases on SM120 (unsupported sparse-MLA shapes / no decode kernel), one-GPU OOM at the largest mamba2 context shapes, L40S OOM on the largest gemm/moe shapes.
  • Coverage vs shipped: see the existence check above; the version-specific kda tables (sglang 0.5.16, vllm 0.1.dev19262) are not part of this plan and keep serving next through backward fill.

…9, SGLang 0.5.21 on 8 systems

507 perf tables (14,546,164 rows) for b200_sxm, b300_sxm, gb200, gb300, h100_sxm, h200_sxm, l40s and
rtx_pro_6000_server, measured 2026-10-05..17 on the named hardware through the aisim-auto-collector Slurm
pipelines with this repository's collector (PR ai-dynamo#228 line, 8f4f36c .. 0933cb3), framework images pinned by
digest (vllm/vllm-openai:v0.30.0, nvcr.io/nvidia/tensorrt-llm/release:1.3.0rc29, lmsysorg/sglang:v0.5.21).

Routed with data_collection/publish_results.py (family from collector/op_backend_catalog.yaml). Every version
directory carries a schema-v2 collection_meta.yaml: one `collections` event per collected shard (collector
ref/hash, case-plan hash, date, rows, status), `rows` = rows of the merged table (exact and identity duplicates
dropped, last wins; shards re-collected on the current case plan supersede the earlier ones).

Fewer tables on l40s (SM89) and rtx_pro_6000_server (SM120) are capability floors (dsa_* / dsv4_* / glm5_*
kernels need SM>=90 or have no SM120 sparse-MLA path); the retired DeepSeek-V4 sidecar ops were not collected.
b300_sxm trtllm msa_generation_module is absent on purpose: its shard failed every case on collector 4ff777c
and is being re-collected.

…1.3.0rc29 / SGLang 0.5.21

query_versions.yaml slots are unchanged (comments refreshed): the new data-backed versions become the fleet-wide
derived `next`, so vllm 0.27.1 / trtllm 1.3.0rc23 / sglang 0.5.17 are no longer queryable slots.

- Raw-coordinate pins on vllm 0.27.1 (test_gdn_vllm_physical_lane, test_moe_ep_query_equivalence) pass
  allow_unlisted_version=True, as the slots file prescribes for fixtures pinning raw data coordinates.
- test_gdn_donor_fill_pins: the b200 sglang 0.5.14 donor-served coordinate (causal_conv1d_fn, batch 32 x seq
  16384) is now filled by the vLLM 0.30.0 b200 row (6.083416748046875 ms) instead of the 0.25.0 row — the
  conscious move the pin asks for.
- NOT changed on purpose: test_msa::test_rtx_trtllm_rc23_loads_and_m3_is_explicitly_rejected and
  test_nvfp4_checkpoint_lane_resolution_per_backend encode Dynamo 1.3's trtllm 1.3.0rc23 pin and fail on this
  branch; whether rc23 stays queryable, `current` is bumped, or the pin moves is a maintainer decision.

📝 Summary

Risk: Medium. Human attention should focus on the reuse manifest contract, next version resolution, and 52 quality-gate flags.

  • Adds 2026-10 campaign data for 24 system–framework cells across eight systems.
  • Adds 508 performance tables with 14,548,924 rows for vLLM 0.30.0, TensorRT-LLM 1.3.0rc29, and SGLang 0.5.21.
  • Adds versioned collection metadata and regenerates the resolver-visible reuse manifest.
  • Updates next version derivation while keeping current and previous unchanged.
  • Updates raw-coordinate fixtures, donor pins, and MSA/NVFP4 version-slot tests.
  • Uses rtx_pro_6000_server as the shipped RTX PRO 6000 system name.

Supplied evidence reports 743 targeted tests passed and 0 failed. Full CI was not run. The reported data check found 456 clean tables and 52 tables with documented differences. Review-finding severity counts are unavailable.

The repository is clean after the manifest-only commit. Technical quality has targeted test evidence, but merge readiness remains unconfirmed because full CI and independent review of the 52 flags are missing.

The change adds benchmark collection manifests for SGLang, TensorRT-LLM, and vLLM across multiple accelerator platforms and workload families. It also removes analysis statistics from the resolver manifest, expands kernel mappings, updates version guidance, and adjusts database tests.

Full details: Compatibility Boundaries

Explanation

No compatibility-boundary failure is introduced. The PR changes only perf-data, schema-v2 metadata, the resolver manifest, query-slot comments, and tests; it does not change Python APIs, Rust APIs, bindings, Cargo metadata, or wheel configuration. All 258 added metadata files use schema v2, match their backend/version paths, cover their parquet tables, and pass the schema structure checks. The manifest now contains only the five resolver fields consumed by the Rust parser; its 272 groups have valid structure and tiers. The new data-backed versions derive as vLLM 0.30.0, TRT-LLM 1.3.0rc29, and SGLang 0.5.21, while current remains unchanged. Dynamo's integration resolves omitted backend versions through the current alias (dynamo@d92654254adc0d9e77c79d817815856e2ec695ff, lib/bindings/python/src/dynamo/_internal/ais.py:17-31), and its DGD surface requires only a non-empty string version (same commit, components/src/dynamo/aisimulate/output/dgd/renderers/base.py:90-104). The existing one-wheel/one-crate packaging contract remains in place: the wheel includes systems/**/*.parquet and data YAML files (python/aisimulate/pyproject.toml:113-160), and the crate remains rlib plus cdylib (crates/core/Cargo.toml:4-17).

Full details: Cross-Layer Contract

Explanation

The derived-version contract changed, but several Python test consumers remain stale. The head data adds SGLang 0.5.21 directories, and query_versions.yaml documents that next is now 0.5.21 (lines 26-28). The resolver derives the highest data-backed version (perf_database.py:284-314) and rejects exact versions outside the slots unless allow_unlisted_version=True (perf_database.py:340-359); get_database() invokes this gate (perf_database.py:1338-1340). However, unchanged tests still call get_database(..., "0.5.17") without the escape at tests/unit/sdk/models/test_qwen35_attention_lanes.py:154,193,237 and tests/unit/sdk/task_v2/test_task_config.py:460. These tests fail during database loading before their assertions. The PR updated analogous raw vLLM tests to use allow_unlisted_version=True, but did not update these SGLang raw-coordinate consumers. The reported test command does not include these affected modules, so its result does not establish compatibility.

Resolution

Preserve the raw-coordinate intent by adding allow_unlisted_version=True to the four 0.5.17 database loads, or replace them with next/the intended supported slot when the test should exercise the new contract. Add a real-tree slot regression that resolves next to 0.5.21, 0.30.0, and 1.3.0rc29 for the three backends. Run the affected model and task-v2 test modules in addition to the reported database tests.

Full details: Modeling And Data Evidence

Explanation

The PR adds 508 binary Parquet tables and 258 metadata sidecars. The sidecars provide provenance, such as runtime image digests, collector references and hashes, case-plan hashes, dates, row counts, and completion status (for example, b300_sxm/msa/vllm/0.30.0/collection_meta.yaml:4-36). They do not provide before/after performance comparisons or anomaly results. The only changed golden evidence is a single donor-latency assertion in test_gdn_donor_fill_pins.py. The reuse generator defines JSON and Markdown outputs for raw statistics, divergence, and deduplication analysis (generate_perf_data_reuse_manifest.py:27-37), but the PR changes only the YAML manifest and explicitly removes those statistics from it (generate_perf_data_reuse_manifest.py:595-597; perf_data_reuse_manifest.yaml diff). No JSON or Markdown analysis artifact is changed. The PR therefore supplies provenance but not the required reproducible before/after evidence, independent oracle, held-out comparison, or machine-readable anomaly summary.

Resolution

Add a committed, reproducible campaign evidence artifact for all 508 tables. Include machine-readable per-table and per-system summaries with schema checks, declared-versus-observed row counts, duplicate and missing-key checks, invalid-value checks, and the reported quality-gate flags. Include before/after or golden comparisons for replaced coordinates, with explanations for expected capability and kernel changes. Regenerate and commit the JSON/Markdown analysis outputs, or provide an equivalent validator and its recorded output, before merging the Parquet refresh.

Full details: Description check

Explanation

The description includes all required template sections and provides detailed scope, review guidance, evidence, provenance, and tracking information. However, the medium-risk review map marks the required Codex-reviewed commit as "n/a yet", and the description contains conflicting CI status and total-row counts that require clarification.

Resolution

Provide the required Codex-reviewed commit. Clarify whether Full CI ran for this PR or only on a trusted copy. Reconcile the reported total row counts, including 14,547,494 versus 14,548,924, before merge.

Full details: Review Evidence

Explanation

The visible description names the targeted pytest command and reports 743 passed and 0 failed. It also states that Full CI had not run and describes boundary cases such as derived-version rejection and capability floors. However, the authored description is explicitly truncated during the review map, so the required distinction between local, fake-runner, parity, and production evidence cannot be verified. The omitted text could also contain an inactive nested-workflow citation.

Resolution

Provide the complete PR description, or native review metadata containing its full validation/evidence section. Then verify the evidence labels and confirm that no inactive nested workflow is presented as hosted CI.

The 2026-10-06 shard of this table had finished with 0 rows: all 2,760 cases
failed with "'MiniMaxMNMsaSparseAttentionMetadata' object has no attribute
'msa_decode_proxy_plan'", a collector bug fixed later in the ai-dynamo#228 line, and the
per-cell shard count hid it. Re-collected on 2026-10-19 with collector
0933cb3 (2,760 passed / 0 failed); the key space is identical to the b200
table and the b300/b200 latency ratio has median 0.96.

collection_meta.yaml of the b300 msa/trtllm/1.3.0rc29 directory gains the
table's event; the reuse manifest and report are regenerated (the trtllm
msa_fmha_sm100 group grows by the 2,760 rows, nothing else changes).

…s, not raw rc23

With the 2026-10 campaign landed the derived trtllm `next` moves from
1.3.0rc23 to 1.3.0rc29 and the raw rc23 coordinate falls outside the
queryable slots. Two tests pinned it: the rtx M3 rejection test on the
premise "Dynamo 1.3 pins trtllm 1.3.0rc23" (an AIC #1507-era note - Dynamo
v1.3.0 shipped TRT-LLM 1.3.0rc19 and addresses versions through
backend_version current/previous/next, never a raw rc) and the NVFP4
fp8_block lane test loading b200 trtllm rc23.

Both now query `trtllm next` (and `vllm current` instead of 0.24.0), so they
follow every fleet upgrade. Assertions are unchanged and hold on the rc29
data: the fp8_block lane resolves in SILICON on b200, rtx M3 MSA still raises
the typed EmpiricalNotImplementedError. The rtx mla/trtllm/1.3.0rc23 reuse
markers stay; marker-only directories are inert outside the slots.

…rt out of this PR

- generate_perf_data_reuse_manifest.py no longer writes total_raw_rows /
  within_framework_dedup_rows / median_pct_divergence into
  perf_data_reuse_manifest.yaml. Nothing reads them: the Rust resolver parses
  op_file / kernel_source / tier / frameworks and one unit test reads systems.
  They only made every data refresh churn ~750 manifest lines. The counters
  stay in the --out-json / --out-md analysis outputs.
- perf_data_reuse_manifest.yaml regenerated with the trimmed renderer:
  248 -> 272 groups (24 kernel_sources new in vllm 0.30.0 / trtllm 1.3.0rc29 /
  sglang 0.5.21); the counter lines are removed once.
- benchmarks/reports/perf-data/perf-data-reuse-analysis.md restored to main.
  No code reads it, and main's own data commits (ai-dynamo#404, ai-dynamo#409, ai-dynamo#427, B60) did
  not regenerate it either.

main moved by four commits since 0d18c14 (B60 vLLM 0.28.0 + oneCCL data,
B300 GLM-5.3-Flash FPM calibration, ubuntu-24.04 runners, vLLM G2 LRU).
The only conflict is the generated perf_data_reuse_manifest.yaml; this merge
keeps the branch's trimmed-renderer version and the next commit regenerates
it over the merged data tree so the B60 groups come back.

Same renderer as 082ef77, run after merging upstream/main: the only
difference is main's B60 vLLM 0.28.0 collection joining one group's systems
list. 272 groups; +152/-535 against main, all of it the 24 new kernel_source
groups, their systems/frameworks lines, and the one-time removal of the
unread counter lines.

…t, not raw 0.5.17 / 0.27.1

The four Qwen3.8-Max engine-step parity cases pinned the raw versions that
were the derived `next` when Yiming added them (sglang 0.5.17, vllm 0.27.1).
Their static / agg / disagg surfaces go through cli_estimate and the model
builder, which enforce the queryable-version gate, so once this PR moves
`next` to 0.5.21 / 0.30.0 every one of those surfaces fails with
UnlistedQueryVersionError (12 of the 18 parity failures on this branch).
Same lesson as the rc23 fixtures in test_msa.py: a test about a slot must
name the slot. The cases now query `next`; their ids drop the version
digits; their golden records are removed here and re-pinned from the live
engine in the next commit. The 0.5.17 / 0.27.1 tables remain reachable as
earlier same-backend donors, so the sparse-identity path these cases were
written for is still exercised where 0.5.21 / 0.30.0 lack a shape.

+3.3%, static_gen +1.4%, disagg_ttft +3.3%, disagg_tpot +2.1%, agg +0.8%;
their `mixed` surface had a frozen PerfDataNotAvailableError and now

-0.6..-2.7%, sglang nvfp4 +0.2..+1.2%, vllm fp8 -0.0..-4.5%, vllm bf16
-0.4..-3.7% against their 0.5.17 / 0.27.1 goldens). No error records; all

main gained the GLM-5.3-Flash ops drop (ai-dynamo#538: vLLM 0.31.0 and SGLang 0.5.20
on b300/gb200/gb300/h100/h200 for six families), the B60 data cleanup
(ai-dynamo#579), and the AFD surface removal in the parity harness (ai-dynamo#320).

Conflict resolution:
- perf_data_reuse_manifest.yaml: kept this branch's (counter-free) copy;
  regenerated over the merged tree in the next commit.
- query_versions.yaml: main's file; the slot comments now state the merged
  truth (trtllm next 1.3.0rc29, sglang next 0.5.21, vllm next 0.31.0 with
  the campaign's 0.30.0 below it as the earlier-version fallback).
- test_engine_step_parity.py + goldens/engine_step.json: main's. Harry's
  allow_unlisted_version case field keeps the four Qwen3.8-Max cases on
  their raw 0.5.17 / 0.27.1 coordinates, which preserves their sparse-data
  identity better than the `next` re-pointing this branch had done, so that
  re-pointing and its pinned goldens are dropped; the kimi-k3 `next` cases
  are re-pinned again after the merge where their values moved.
- test_gdn_vllm_physical_lane.py / test_moe_ep_query_equivalence.py: main's
  (same allow_unlisted_version=True change, without this branch's comments).

`mixed` surface had a frozen PerfDataNotAvailableError and now resolves
(94.3 / 94.9 ms). No error records. Parity suites on the merged tree with a

…nfer lane to the runtime lookup

Review findings on this PR (simone-chen):

1. GDN physical-kernel lookup was gated on a vLLM version whitelist
   (`0.24.0 | 0.27.1` in StateSpaceTable::with_sources). The 0.30.0 tables
   persist the same physical labels, so on `next` the model's logical
   `chunk_gated_delta_rule` found no row and degraded to SOL: 0.00817 ms vs
   the shipped 0.07289 ms row (about 9x). The gate is now a per-backend
   `GdnAliasProfile` with PEP 440 floors: vLLM >= 0.24.0 (physical
   context-scan + packed decode labels), TRT-LLM >= 1.3.0rc29
   (`chunk_gated_delta_rule_flashinfer`,
   `fused_sigmoid_gating_delta_rule_update_flashinfer`), SGLang >= 0.5.21
   (`fused_qkvzba_causal_conv1d_update_contiguous` for the decode
   convolution). Executed names stay in the data; only the lookup maps.
   Versions below the floors (vLLM 0.22.0, TRT-LLM rc20, SGLang 0.5.14)
   keep the logical rows, so a physical label there can only be a donor
   and is still ignored. Rust unit tests cover the floors, the new
   profiles, precedence over donor logical rows and the negative cases;
   real-data tests pin b200 vLLM 0.30.0 / TRT-LLM rc29 / SGLang 0.5.21.

2. `_OVERRIDE_LANES["vllm"]["flashinfer"]` lacked the 0.25.0 and 0.30.0
   decode labels (`vllm_flashinfer_flashinfertrtllmapidecode[_trtllm_gen]`),
   and with shared-layer loading the 0.24.0 `vllm_flashinfer_trtllmdecode`
   donor lane headed the pinned walk, so an explicit
   attention_backend="flashinfer" on 0.30.0 returned the 0.24.0
   measurement (0.1072 vs 0.0707 ms). The labels are added newest-first
   and `_source_tiered_lane_walk_order` now ranks, within the pinned head,
   the labels the requested version collected itself ahead of labels only
   a donor carries. The pinned head still precedes every non-pinned lane.
   The 0.22.0 donor-only pin test is rewritten to the new policy (own
   `vllm_flashinfer` first, donor split labels still pinned behind it);
   real-data tests pin the b200 override head on 0.24.0 / 0.25.0 / 0.30.0.

Evidence: cargo test state_space 24 passed; unit subset 816 passed
(incl. attention-lane, dcp, module-bridge modules); both parity suites 389
passed with no golden movement; Simone's repro (b200 vLLM next, Qwen3.5
2048/16/128/32/128/4, batch 1, seq 1024) now returns 0.07288736 ms silicon.

…lves to `current` when nothing newer has data

Rule (tianhaox, 2026-10-27), now stated in query_versions.yaml, the replay
engine README and the support-matrix doc:
- current  = the newest completed FULL collection (whole case plan, fleet);
- previous = the full collection that current replaced;
- next = the in-development version: the highest version newer than
             current with any measurements landed; when nothing newer has
             data, next is the same version as current.

Defaults after this commit:
  trtllm current 1.3.0rc29 previous 1.3.0rc20 next = current
  sglang current 0.5.21 previous 0.5.14 next = current
                                                  (0.5.20, ai-dynamo#538, is older)
  vllm    current 0.30.0     previous 0.24.0      next = 0.31.0 (ai-dynamo#538,
                                                  5 systems / 6 families;
                                                  everything else backward-
                                                  fills from 0.30.0)
Override baselines (a100, b60) are untouched and still expose no next.

Code: get_version_slots() sets next = current for defaults-governed systems
when _derive_fleet_next finds nothing newer (previously the alias raised).
Unit test added. Two engine-step behavior tests that pinned a DATA
coordinate through the current slot (MiniMax-M3 MSA xop borrow on sglang
0.5.14, which 0.5.21 fills; MiMo-V2-Flash bf16@192 gap on vllm 0.24.0,
which 0.30.0 fills) now pin those raw versions with allow_unlisted_version,
as their own comments prescribed.

Consequence: every current-slot prediction on the eight campaign systems
now comes from the 2026-10 data; the parity goldens follow in the next
commit.

…a-coordinate tests to raw versions

- state_space.rs: TRT-LLM >= 1.3.0rc29 persists `causal_conv1d_fn_token_major`
  where rc20 persisted `causal_conv1d_fn`; query_mamba2 now tries the
  backend's own physical label (same GdnAliasProfile floor) before the
  logical lane / d_model fallback, so Nemotron-H on rc29 no longer serves
  the rc20 donor row for its context convolution. Unit test with a
  synthetic Mamba2 table (rc29 prefers token-major, rc20 keeps logical,
  miss still misses). The rc29 `mamba_chunk_scan_combined` rows (rc20 had
  none; the op fell to SOL) resolve through the logical name already.
- Parity: the seven `*-empirical` cases pin vllm 0.24.0 / sglang 0.5.14
  with allow_unlisted_version. EMPIRICAL mode builds the custom_allreduce
  util grid from the version's OWN comm table; the 2026-10 campaign did not
  collect comm, so on the promoted current the estimator raises
  EmpiricalNotImplementedError (26 golden records would have turned into
  error records). Follow-up: comm tables for 0.30.0 / rc29 / 0.5.21.
- test_glm53flash: the two "older runtime" tests pin sglang 0.5.20 and
  vllm 0.31.0 as raw data coordinates; 0.5.20 now sits between the
  previous and current slots, so they use the AIC_ALLOW_UNLISTED_VERSIONS
  fixture escape like their fixed-runtime sibling. Module: 144 passed.

… promotion

Full `tests/unit` run on the promoted slots: 13031 passed, 7 slot-related
failures, all tests that pinned a data coordinate through `current`:

- test_vllm_dsa_index_reuse (5): both public-model tests run with
  enable_shared_layer=False, so the queried version must carry its own comm
  tables; the 2026-10 campaign collected none for vLLM 0.30.0 (now current),
  so the resolver's own-version-only channel finds no custom_allreduce rows.
  Pin 0.24.0 (previous), the last self-contained tree.
- test_compile_engine_mtp (1): the audited SM90 SGLang MLA bf16 execution-dtype
  mapping is keyed to exactly 0.5.14 (helpers.resolve_sglang_mla_compute);
  pin that literal for the h200 rows instead of `current` (now 0.5.21).
- test_engine_spec_version_literal (1): every fleet default now authors a
  `previous`; use the a100 override baseline (vllm previous: null) as the
  unpopulated alias.

The other 3 failures were environment-only (scikit-learn missing from the
local venv; support_cli subprocesses need the repo root on PYTHONPATH).

…shInfer-autotuned collector (b200, b300, gb200)

The campaign's moe/vllm/0.30.0 (and moe/sglang/0.5.21) tables on SM100 had broken nvfp4 expert-parallel
scaling: from the EP where tokens*topk/local_experts > 128 the latency at EP=E equalled the latency at
EP=E/8 (99.7% match over 7,579 series). Root cause, confirmed by an A/B probe on b200: the collector timed
FlashInfer's trtllm-gen nvfp4 MoE on its untuned default tactic (EP-unaware tile heuristic) while vLLM and
SGLang serve it autotuned. The collector now runs FlashInfer's autotuner before timing (tianhaox/aisimulate
feat/op-probe-harness 3b070dc -> e0163dc, collector tuning budget warmup 1 / repeat 3 / 1 ms; a8d79b2
recycles a worker whose CUDA context a failed case left dead).

This commit replaces the nvfp4 rows of three tables with the 2026-10-28 re-collection (e0163dc parts +
a8d79b2 fill, same measurement path); every non-nvfp4 row is byte-identical. Acceptance vs the untuned
tables, 0.1 ms launch-overhead floor: EP-doubling steps > 1.5x 281 / 287 / 274 -> 0; lat(EP)/lat(EP/8) > 0.9
collapses at tokens >= 64: 429 / 413 / 449 -> 4-5 saturation cells (EP128/256 at 12-16k tokens).

  table nvfp4 rows before -> after absent identities
  b200_sxm/moe/vllm/0.30.0   20,893 -> 20,635            258
  b300_sxm/moe/vllm/0.30.0   20,919 -> 20,584            335
  gb200/moe/vllm/0.30.0      21,101 -> 20,582            519

The absent identities are all Llama-4 Maverick nvfp4 shapes (5120/8192/topk 1, E16 and E128) at EP > 1:
FlashInfer's trtllm_fused_moe_routing_llama4 kernel faults (SIGSEGV / illegal address) under some autotune
candidates; the untuned rows of those series were EP-anomalous too, so they are not carried over (the
resolver backward-fills the shape). collection_meta.yaml: the untuned nvfp4 shard event is replaced by one
event per re-collection part (collector_ref e0163dc) and one for the fill (a8d79b2); rows updated.
perf_data_reuse_manifest.yaml regenerated over the new tables: unchanged (same kernel_source sets).

gb300 vllm 0.30.0 and the four sglang 0.5.21 tables follow in a later commit (still collecting).

…KVCacheQuantMode name)

The TRT-LLM rc29 collector writes kv_cache_dtype "bf16" for the DeepSeek-V4 CSA/HCA context and generation
module rows on SM100 (collect_dsv4_attn.py: the only KV configuration that boots there is auto -> bf16; Hopper
and SM120 collect fp8). The SDK's KVCacheQuantMode names that mode "bfloat16", and every other table in the
repository uses that spelling, so the engine's table view could not be rehydrated (KeyError: 'bf16' in
engine_table_view, failing validate_database for b200/b300/gb200/gb300 trtllm 1.3.0rc29). The 16 tables
(4 systems x csa/hca x context/generation, 14,762-14,768 rows each) are relabelled in place; rows, order
and schema are unchanged.

…instead of version literals

Three repository-level contracts pinned the pre-campaign slot values: test_prediction_pins_populated_version_slots
expected "current" to pin vLLM 0.24.0, test_shared_g2_cli's canonical AIC layout carried backend_version 0.24.0,
and test_epd_cli's recommendation fixture pinned SGLang 0.5.14 while its callback asked for "current" and required
equivalence. With this PR's promotion (vLLM 0.30.0 / SGLang 0.5.21 current on h200_sxm) all three failed in Full CI.
They now read the current slot through get_version_slots / resolve_query_version, so the contracts hold across
promotions; the explicit "0.24.0" pin case stays literal on purpose.

_serving_kv_cache_dtype() returned "bf16" on SM100, so every SM100 DSV4
CSA/HCA module row carried kv_cache_dtype="bf16" while the SDK rehydrates
that column through KVCacheQuantMode (bfloat16 / int8 / fp8): validate_database
failed with KeyError: 'bf16' for the b200/b300/gb200/gb300 rc29 tables in Full
CI (PR ai-dynamo#517, run 40814135527; the data PR relabelled the shipped tables). Emit
"bfloat16", accept "bf16" as an alias of the AIS_DSV4_KV_CACHE_DTYPE A/B hook,
and compare the label consistently inside the collector.

(450) on the eight campaign systems. This is the bootstrap draft the tool prescribes for a new framework
version (python tools/perf_database/backend_facts.py, then review): the 2,428 existing entries are unchanged
(0 removed, re-emitted in the tool's order), 1,621 are added; `--check` passes (4,049 fact slices).

…s __getattr__-served attributes)

pytest 9.2.0 (PyPI 2026-10-27) changed MonkeyPatch.setattr to record the old value from the target's
instance __dict__ when no data descriptor is involved (its fix for #10644). An attribute that a module serves
through a module-level __getattr__ is therefore recorded as absent, and undo() restores it with delattr.
aisimulate_core.sdk.memory is such a module: its _MemoryPackage forwards get_model (and the other kv_cache
names) to memory.kv_cache, so every test that does monkeypatch.setattr(memory, "get_model", ...) now ends by
deleting kv_cache.get_model for the rest of the xdist worker. Full CI runs 40814135527 and 40818952213 on this
PR's trusted copy show the result: all eight unit shards, ~100 fixture errors plus 12-93 failures each, every
one "has no attribute 'get_model'" / "name 'get_model' is not defined"; the contracts shard installs
scripts/pyproject.toml's pytest==9.0.3 and is unaffected. Reproduced locally in one process with two tests
and a __delattr__ trace; the same two tests pass on 9.1.1 (main's last green run and PR ai-dynamo#639 still resolved
9.1.1). uv.lock keeps 9.1.1; only the requirement specifier changes.

…ntime backends

PR ai-dynamo#517's Full CI recorded 17 labels of the vLLM 0.30.0 / TRT-LLM 1.3.0rc29 /
SGLang 0.5.21 campaign tables as backend=unverified. Six already have entries
on this branch (causal_conv1d_fn_token_major, chunk_gated_delta_rule_flashinfer,
fused_sigmoid_gating_delta_rule_update_{flashinfer,triton}, the two
FlashInferTrtllmAPIDecode kernel labels); the other eleven are traced here,
each with the collector dispatch site and the framework source it was read from:
sglang flashinfer bmm_fp8 (cublasLt), FlashInfer GDN prefill, the Triton fused
qkvzba conv update; trtllm flashinfer selective_state_update; vLLM FLASHINFER_
MLA_SPARSE_{SM120,DSV4} (flashinfer.decode trtllm sparse MLA), FLASH_ATTN_MLA_
SPARSE (vllm_flash_attn varlen, FA3), MarlinFP8ScaledMMLinearKernel, and the
CuteDSL / Marlin / DeepGEMM MoE experts labels.

One conflict, python/aisimulate/pyproject.toml: main pinned pytest>=9.0.3,<9.2 independently; its comment is
kept, the pin is identical. On the merged tree the perf-data reuse manifest regenerates byte-identical, the
parity goldens move 0 cases, check_collector_data.py and backend_facts.py --check pass.

…0.0 base shards

The 17 base shards of 2026-10-06 (18 collection events across attention,
encoder_attention, gemm, mla, mla_bmm, msa and quantize) were written by a
harness run that did not hand the collector its revision, so their sidecar
events carried `collector_ref: unknown`. They were collected by GitLab job
471174362 (aisim-auto-collector pipeline 71809077, AISIM_REVISION
4ff777c; the job log checks out 4ff777c and
its per-shard durations match the package summary). The later job that
fetched the result archive ran a newer harness, which is why the campaign
record had named that revision instead.

check_collector_data.py: all rules pass.

…ng 2026-10 labels

Second review round on the GDN routing (simone-chen, at d78db6b):

1. Alias collision through the shared layer. The physical-label lookup
   collected every alias present in the merged table and failed closed when
   more than one matched, without regard to where the rows came from. RTX PRO
   6000 vLLM 0.24.0 collected `chunk_gated_delta_rule_triton`; the shared
   layer adds TRT-LLM rc29's (and vLLM 0.30.0's)
   `chunk_gated_delta_rule_flashinfer`, so the pair was rejected as ambiguous
   and the context scan fell to SOL (0.035109 ms instead of the own 0.101526
   ms; 0.30.0 likewise instead of 0.116720 ms). The GDN loader now records,
   per key, the rank of the first source that contributed it (0 = requested
   version, then donors in resolver order). The lookup prefers the
   best-ranked physical label, lets a logical row from an earlier source win
   over a donor's physical label, and still fails closed when one source
   carries several physical labels for the same shape.
2. SGLang 0.5.21 on H100/H200 persists the context scan as
   `flashinfer_chunk_gated_delta_rule`; the profile only mapped the fused
   decode convolution, so H100 served a donor row (0.132997 ms instead of
   0.093043 ms).
3. TRT-LLM rc29 on L40S / RTX PRO 6000 persists the Triton decode recurrence
   `fused_sigmoid_gating_delta_rule_update_triton`; the profile only accepted
   the FlashInfer suffix (L40S: 0.006557 ms from a donor instead of 0.005315
   ms).

The profiles are renamed TrtllmPhysical / SglangPhysical now that they cover
more than one kernel. Rust unit tests cover donor-vs-own ranking (both
directions), same-source ambiguity, the own logical row against a donor
physical label, and the two new mappings; real-data tests pin the four probe
platforms to their raw rows. The B200 repro of the first round still returns
0.072887 ms.

…lt lane

d78db6b re-ranked the whole pinned head of the lane walk by whether the
requested version collected each lane. The pinned head holds both the
explicit override's labels and the framework-default lane, which is a
different backend, so an override whose rows only a donor version carries
could be overtaken by the default: B200 SGLang 0.5.21 with Triton rows and
inherited 0.5.14 `trtllm_mha` rows walked ["triton", "trtllm_mha", ...] for
attention_backend="trtllm_mha" (simone-chen's review: 0.008434 ms from
Triton instead of the requested lane's 0.010391 ms).

The re-ranking is now restricted to the override's synonymous labels (the
stored labels the override expands to); that group keeps its place ahead of
the framework-default pin. The vLLM FlashInfer case d78db6b fixed (own
0.30.0 label before the 0.24.0 donor label) is unchanged.

tianhaox merged commit add6fca into ai-dynamo:main Oct 29, 2026
73 checks passed
tianhaox added a commit to tianhaox/aisimulate that referenced this pull request Oct 29, 2026
Brings in 110 main commits: the 2026-10 campaign data (ai-dynamo#517: vLLM 0.30.0 /
TRT-LLM 1.3.0rc29 / SGLang 0.5.21 tables), Harry Lee's GLM-5.3-Flash per-op
collectors and data (ai-dynamo#361, ai-dynamo#514, ai-dynamo#538: vLLM 0.31.0 / SGLang 0.5.20 model
pins), Mandy Li's B60 XPU graph mode (c3f77c2), the GLM-5.3 config refresh
(ai-dynamo#563) and the SGLang ModelOpt mixed-recipe MLA fix (ai-dynamo#614).

Resolution policy: union of both sides' audited runtimes; neither side's
collection behaviour changes.

- Version admission. Main admits GLM-5.3-Flash on vLLM 0.31.0 / SGLang
  0.5.20 and (written before ai-dynamo#517) excluded vLLM 0.28-0.30; the branch's
  defaults are vLLM 0.30.0 / SGLang 0.5.21. File-level __compat__ now spans
  both; main's per-architecture gates gain the branch's audited releases:
  vLLM kda Kimi-K3 ==0.30.0 (the preview pin was retired 2026-09-28),
  vLLM mhc DeepSeek-V4 0.24.0-0.30.0, SGLang kda Kimi-K3 0.5.16 + 0.5.21,
  SGLang mhc DeepSeek-V4 0.5.14 + 0.5.21. GLM-5.3-Flash gates unchanged.
- SGLang gemm: main swaps in collect_gemm_0520 for `release >= (0, 5, 20)`,
  which would have moved the 0.5.21 default onto the 0.5.20 fork; the fork
  now applies to exactly 0.5.20 (test asserts the equality gate).
- SGLang moe: the branch's num_tokens series (one task per shape) keeps
  main's Triton config observation per point: the counters are handed to the
  sidecar with each point's row and reset.
- helper.benchmark_with_power: main's device-module form (XPU graphs) with
  the branch's heartbeat, num_eager_warmups, phase timing and graph-only
  replay warmup.
- vLLM XPU MoE: main's XPU graph mode; allow_graph_fail stays at its False
  default (the former-fallback-site test forbids the keyword).
- Generated/derived files: perf_data_reuse_manifest.yaml and its report
  regenerated over the merged data (only change vs main: the retired
  dsv4_hca_attn_module_perf entry); op_backend_facts.yaml rewritten from the
  merged data + translation table (169 drifts, all "unverified" labels the
  branch's kernel_source translations now resolve); b60.csv taken from main.
- GLM-5.3 naming: both sides agree (plain repo = FP8 block, -BF16 = bf16);
  main's order/comments kept, duplicates dropped.
- Tests: main's version-policy tests updated to the merged policy; main's
  packaged-model inventories list the branch's bundled configs (Qwen3.8-2.4T
  NVFP4, Nemotron-3.5-Lightning BF16 - validated by the test's own load -
  and DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash NVFP4, unloadable for the same quantization-metadata
  reason as main's V4 NVFP4 entries); the branch's vLLM KV-dtype test follows
  main's ai-dynamo#487 (BF16 renders literally on vLLM >= 0.11).

Known, not from this merge: tests/golden/generator release-1.2.0 contracts
expect --max-num-batched-tokens 4060 / 3548; the branch's 64-aligned token
budgets (0df714b, 2446f6c) render 4096 / 3584 and already failed them
before the merge. Updating a release golden needs a maintainer decision.

Open question carried forward (not decided here): main's 0.5.20 gemm audit
lists serving changes for bf16 (CuTe DSL / FlashInfer split-K on SM10x),
fp8_block (Triton fallback for N%64 / K%128), nvfp4 (padding, cute-dsl
activation quant) and per-tensor fp8; collect_gemm_0520 collects no
per-tensor fp8. Checked against the v0.5.21 source for per-tensor fp8 only:
Fp8ScaledMMOp still resolves to the AOT sgl_kernel fp8_scaled_mm the branch
times, except SM90 with M >= 8192 on wide shapes (Torch NVJet; 237 of 36,852
fp8 rows on H100/H200); the per-token activation quant runs the JIT build of
the same kernel (the branch and compute_scale call the AOT op). bf16,
fp8_block and nvfp4 at 0.5.21 remain unchecked.

….21 perf tables for 8 systems (ai-dynamo#517)

* data: add the 2026-10 campaign tables — vLLM 0.30.0, TRT-LLM 1.3.0rc29, SGLang 0.5.21 on 8 systems

507 perf tables (14,546,164 rows) for b200_sxm, b300_sxm, gb200, gb300, h100_sxm, h200_sxm, l40s and
rtx_pro_6000_server, measured 2026-10-05..17 on the named hardware through the aisim-auto-collector Slurm
pipelines with this repository's collector (PR ai-dynamo#228 line, 8f4f36c .. 0933cb3), framework images pinned by
digest (vllm/vllm-openai:v0.30.0, nvcr.io/nvidia/tensorrt-llm/release:1.3.0rc29, lmsysorg/sglang:v0.5.21).

Routed with data_collection/publish_results.py (family from collector/op_backend_catalog.yaml). Every version
directory carries a schema-v2 collection_meta.yaml: one `collections` event per collected shard (collector
ref/hash, case-plan hash, date, rows, status), `rows` = rows of the merged table (exact and identity duplicates
dropped, last wins; shards re-collected on the current case plan supersede the earlier ones).

Fewer tables on l40s (SM89) and rtx_pro_6000_server (SM120) are capability floors (dsa_* / dsv4_* / glm5_*
kernels need SM>=90 or have no SM120 sparse-MLA path); the retired DeepSeek-V4 sidecar ops were not collected.
b300_sxm trtllm msa_generation_module is absent on purpose: its shard failed every case on collector 4ff777c
and is being re-collected.

* chore: regenerate the perf-data reuse manifest for the 2026-10 campaign tables

    --data-root python/aisimulate/src/aisimulate_core/systems/data

* test: follow the derived `next` slot moving to vLLM 0.30.0 / TRT-LLM 1.3.0rc29 / SGLang 0.5.21

query_versions.yaml slots are unchanged (comments refreshed): the new data-backed versions become the fleet-wide
derived `next`, so vllm 0.27.1 / trtllm 1.3.0rc23 / sglang 0.5.17 are no longer queryable slots.

* data: add b300_sxm TRT-LLM 1.3.0rc29 msa_generation_module (re-collected)

* test: query the msa rtx / NVFP4-lane fixtures through the slot aliases, not raw rc23

* manifest: emit only the resolver-read fields; leave the analysis report out of this PR

- generate_perf_data_reuse_manifest.py no longer writes total_raw_rows /
  within_framework_dedup_rows / median_pct_divergence into
  perf_data_reuse_manifest.yaml. Nothing reads them: the Rust resolver parses
  op_file / kernel_source / tier / frameworks and one unit test reads systems.
  They only made every data refresh churn ~750 manifest lines. The counters
  stay in the --out-json / --out-md analysis outputs.
- perf_data_reuse_manifest.yaml regenerated with the trimmed renderer:
  248 -> 272 groups (24 kernel_sources new in vllm 0.30.0 / trtllm 1.3.0rc29 /
  sglang 0.5.21); the counter lines are removed once.
- benchmarks/reports/perf-data/perf-data-reuse-analysis.md restored to main.
  No code reads it, and main's own data commits (ai-dynamo#404, ai-dynamo#409, ai-dynamo#427, B60) did
  not regenerate it either.

* manifest: regenerate over the merged data tree

Same renderer as 082ef77, run after merging upstream/main: the only
difference is main's B60 vLLM 0.28.0 collection joining one group's systems
list. 272 groups; +152/-535 against main, all of it the 24 new kernel_source
groups, their systems/frameworks lines, and the one-time removal of the
unread counter lines.

* test: query the Qwen3.8-Max gb300 parity cases through the `next` slot, not raw 0.5.17 / 0.27.1

* goldens: re-pin the six engine-step parity cases that follow the `next` slot

pin_goldens.py from the live engine, 24 records: --refresh for the two
kimi-k3 b300 sglang `next` cases (next moved 0.5.17 -> 0.5.21: static_ctx
+3.3%, static_gen +1.4%, disagg_ttft +3.3%, disagg_tpot +2.1%, agg +0.8%;
their `mixed` surface had a frozen PerfDataNotAvailableError and now
resolves at 95.2 / 95.8 ms because 0.5.21 carries the shape), append-only
for the four renamed Qwen3.8-Max gb300 cases now querying `next` (sglang fp8
-0.6..-2.7%, sglang nvfp4 +0.2..+1.2%, vllm fp8 -0.0..-4.5%, vllm bf16
-0.4..-3.7% against their 0.5.17 / 0.27.1 goldens). No error records; all
24 are provenance-marked in post_freeze_pins. Both parity suites: 390
passed, 0 failed (18 failed / 372 passed before this and the previous
commit).

* manifest: regenerate over the merged tree (GLM-5.3-Flash kernels join)

Counter-free renderer over main + this branch: 248 -> 292 groups. The 44
new groups are the 24 kernel_sources from the 2026-10 campaign plus 20 that
main's GLM-5.3-Flash ops drop (ai-dynamo#538, vLLM 0.31.0 / SGLang 0.5.20) added
without regenerating the manifest. Unit subset: 768 passed.

* goldens: re-pin the kimi-k3 b300 sglang `next` cases on the merged tree

pin_goldens.py --refresh for the 8 (case, surface) records of
kimi-k3-b300-sglang-next-nospec and -dspark-nextn7, which query `next` and
therefore follow this PR's move of b300 sglang next to 0.5.21 (0.5.20 from
ai-dynamo#538 sits below it as the earlier-version fallback): static_ctx +1.2%,
static_gen +6.2%, disagg_tpot +4.3%, disagg_ttft +1.2%, agg -0.3%; the
`mixed` surface had a frozen PerfDataNotAvailableError and now resolves
(94.3 / 94.9 ms). No error records. Parity suites on the merged tree with a
runtime rebuilt from it: 389 passed, 0 failed (6 failed / 383 passed before
this re-pin; the four Qwen3.8-Max cases pass through main's
allow_unlisted_version field).

* fix: connect the 2026-10 GDN kernel labels and the vLLM 0.30.0 FlashInfer lane to the runtime lookup

Review findings on this PR (simone-chen):

1. GDN physical-kernel lookup was gated on a vLLM version whitelist
   (`0.24.0 | 0.27.1` in StateSpaceTable::with_sources). The 0.30.0 tables
   persist the same physical labels, so on `next` the model's logical
   `chunk_gated_delta_rule` found no row and degraded to SOL: 0.00817 ms vs
   the shipped 0.07289 ms row (about 9x). The gate is now a per-backend
   `GdnAliasProfile` with PEP 440 floors: vLLM >= 0.24.0 (physical
   context-scan + packed decode labels), TRT-LLM >= 1.3.0rc29
   (`chunk_gated_delta_rule_flashinfer`,
   `fused_sigmoid_gating_delta_rule_update_flashinfer`), SGLang >= 0.5.21
Rust unit tests cover the floors, the new
   profiles, precedence over donor logical rows and the negative cases;
   real-data tests pin b200 vLLM 0.30.0 / TRT-LLM rc29 / SGLang 0.5.21.

2. `_OVERRIDE_LANES["vllm"]["flashinfer"]` lacked the 0.25.0 and 0.30.0
   decode labels (`vllm_flashinfer_flashinfertrtllmapidecode[_trtllm_gen]`),
   and with shared-layer loading the 0.24.0 `vllm_flashinfer_trtllmdecode`
   donor lane headed the pinned walk, so an explicit
   attention_backend="flashinfer" on 0.30.0 returned the 0.24.0
   measurement (0.1072 vs 0.0707 ms). The labels are added newest-first
   and `_source_tiered_lane_walk_order` now ranks, within the pinned head,
   the labels the requested version collected itself ahead of labels only
   a donor carries. The pinned head still precedes every non-pinned lane.
   The 0.22.0 donor-only pin test is rewritten to the new policy (own
   `vllm_flashinfer` first, donor split labels still pinned behind it);
   real-data tests pin the b200 override head on 0.24.0 / 0.25.0 / 0.30.0.

Evidence: cargo test state_space 24 passed; unit subset 816 passed
(incl. attention-lane, dcp, module-bridge modules); both parity suites 389
passed with no golden movement; Simone's repro (b200 vLLM next, Qwen3.5
2048/16/128/32/128/4, batch 1, seq 1024) now returns 0.07288736 ms silicon.

Rule (tianhaox, 2026-10-27), now stated in query_versions.yaml, the replay
engine README and the support-matrix doc:
- current  = the newest completed FULL collection (whole case plan, fleet);
- previous = the full collection that current replaced;

                                                  (0.5.20, ai-dynamo#538, is older)
  vllm    current 0.30.0     previous 0.24.0      next = 0.31.0 (ai-dynamo#538,
                                                  5 systems / 6 families;
                                                  everything else backward-
                                                  fills from 0.30.0)
Override baselines (a100, b60) are untouched and still expose no next.

Consequence: every current-slot prediction on the eight campaign systems
now comes from the 2026-10 data; the parity goldens follow in the next
commit.

* fix: alias the TRT-LLM rc29 Mamba2 context convolution; re-anchor data-coordinate tests to raw versions

- state_space.rs: TRT-LLM >= 1.3.0rc29 persists `causal_conv1d_fn_token_major`
  where rc20 persisted `causal_conv1d_fn`; query_mamba2 now tries the
  backend's own physical label (same GdnAliasProfile floor) before the
  logical lane / d_model fallback, so Nemotron-H on rc29 no longer serves
  the rc20 donor row for its context convolution.

* test: re-anchor slot-dependent unit tests after the 2026-10 `current` promotion

- test_compile_engine_mtp (1): the audited SM90 SGLang MLA bf16 execution-dtype
  mapping is keyed to exactly 0.5.14 (helpers.resolve_sglang_mla_compute);
  pin that literal for the h200 rows instead of `current` (now 0.5.21).

* data: re-collect the SM100 nvfp4 MoE rows of vLLM 0.30.0 with the FlashInfer-autotuned collector (b200, b300, gb200)

The collector now runs FlashInfer's autotuner before timing (tianhaox/aisimulate
feat/op-probe-harness 3b070dc -> e0163dc, collector tuning budget warmup 1 / repeat 3 / 1 ms; a8d79b2
recycles a worker whose CUDA context a failed case left dead).

This commit replaces the nvfp4 rows of three tables with the 2026-10-28 re-collection (e0163dc parts +
a8d79b2 fill, same measurement path); every non-nvfp4 row is byte-identical. Acceptance vs the untuned
tables, 0.1 ms launch-overhead floor: EP-doubling steps > 1.5x 281 / 287 / 274 -> 0; lat(EP)/lat(EP/8) > 0.9
collapses at tokens >= 64: 429 / 413 / 449 -> 4-5 saturation cells (EP128/256 at 12-16k tokens).

  table nvfp4 rows before -> after absent identities
  b200_sxm/moe/vllm/0.30.0   20,893 -> 20,635            258
  b300_sxm/moe/vllm/0.30.0   20,919 -> 20,584            335
  gb200/moe/vllm/0.30.0      21,101 -> 20,582            519

* test: re-pin the engine-step parity goldens on the promoted slots

`pin_goldens.py --refresh-all` on the promoted `current` slots (trtllm 1.3.0rc29, sglang 0.5.21,
vllm 0.30.0) with the re-collected nvfp4 MoE tables for b200/b300/gb200 vllm: 332 records
re-pinned, 65 of 82 cases move, no error records (the five pre-existing error pins keep their
error type). Numeric moves: median 0.0%, p10 -9.1%, p90 +7.8%, 108 of 760 latency leaves move
by more than 10%. Both suites: 389 passed, 0 failed.

Moves worth knowing when reviewing the diff:
- per_op b200 trtllm cases (gpt-oss-20b, nemotron-nas): every energy_wms leaf goes to 0 — the
  campaign's rc29 tables carry no power columns (the shipped b200 rc20 tables were the
  AIConfigurator power import), so power/energy estimates on b200 trtllm `current` have no data
  until power is collected for rc29 or the power loader learns to fall back to `previous`.
- minimax-m25-nvfp4-h200-vllm-hybrid-xprofile: static_gen 280 -> 8.7 ms. Both values are the
  HYBRID ladder borrowing MoE rows across quant profiles (Hopper has no nvfp4 MoE); the 0.24.0
  borrow priced generation_moe at 276 ms for a 10B-active model at batch 1, the 0.30.0 borrow at
  4.4 ms. Every other op of that case moves < 4%.
- nemotron-h-56b-b200-trtllm (+50%): the rc29 Mamba2 context convolution is now measured through
  the `causal_conv1d_fn_token_major` alias instead of the SOL fallback it degraded to before.
- glm52-b200-sglang (+35-38% ctx): sglang 0.5.14 -> 0.5.21 DSA context kernels, consistent with
  the quality gate's sglang dsa/dsv4 findings.

* data: fold the gb300 vLLM and b300 SGLang nvfp4 fill runs into their tables

Fill runs with collector a8d79b2 (worker recycled when a failed case leaves the CUDA context dead) over
the identities the re-collection parts had lost:
- gb300/moe/vllm/0.30.0: +31 nvfp4 rows (the Llama-4 5120/8192/1/E128 tp8 EP1 case that had inherited a
  dead context from an EP8 fault; 20,556 -> 20,587). The remaining 306 absent identities are the Llama-4
  EP>1 cases, which fail cleanly under autotune (records kept in the campaign package).

Same re-collection as 0eb7d24 / bf00c56: eight e0163dc parts (4.4-5.2 h each on 2 GPUs) plus an

trtllm_fused_moe_routing_custom illegal-address fault), 2 token points the old table lacked.
Acceptance vs the untuned table (0.1 ms floor, Nemotron 2688/1856 relu2 shape exempt: FlashInfer's
trtllm-gen manifest has a single tile_N per local-expert count for Relu2 FP4, so tuned == untuned there):

the same identities on b200; the re-measure lands at 0.92-1.05x of b200 and both a 4-GPU and a 1-GPU re-run agree).
gb200/moe/sglang/0.5.21: nvfp4 50,131 -> 50,137 rows; 1 identity absent (Nemotron 2688/1856/6/128 at 12288

windows (window-cut series re-run whole; identity duplicates keep the last row).
gb300/moe/sglang/0.5.21: nvfp4 50,139 -> 50,109 rows; 30 identities absent, all Nemotron 2688/1856/6/128 at

Nemotron 2688/1856/6/128 identities (12288/16384 tokens); the other 22 fault again in the FlashInfer routing kernel
on GB300 (AcceleratorError in run_moe_torch, same points as the first run) and stay absent as part of the documented
Nemotron exemption. The two acceptance-gate residual groups (7168/2048/8/256 tp1 ep64 at 12288 tokens; 2048/5120/22/512

back within 3% and keep their value (GB300-specific, recorded in the merge report). Only absent identities and those

* data: drop the empty gb200 SGLang fill provenance event (collector-check R1)

* data: label the DeepSeek-V4 CSA/HCA module KV dtype as bfloat16 (SDK KVCacheQuantMode name)

* test: let the repository contracts follow the populated current slot instead of version literals

* collector: draft op_backend_facts registry entries for the 2026-10 campaign versions

`backend_facts.py --check` (Full CI, Collector Data job) reported 1,621 fact slices present in the perf database
but absent from collector/op_backend_facts.yaml: vLLM 0.30.0 (681), TRT-LLM 1.3.0rc29 (490) and SGLang 0.5.21

Fourteen collector labels of the new versions have no entry in collector/kernel_source_backends.yaml and are
recorded as backend "unverified" for the collector owners to translate (never guessed here): sglang
flashinfer_chunk_gated_delta_rule, fused_qkvzba_causal_conv1d_update_contiguous, sglang_flashinfer_bmm_fp8;

* build: pin pytest below 9.2 in the dev extra (monkeypatch undo deletes __getattr__-served attributes)

pytest 9.2.0 (PyPI 2026-10-27) changed MonkeyPatch.setattr to record the old value from the target's
instance __dict__ when no data descriptor is involved (its fix for #10644).

* data: record the collector commit of the rtx_pro_6000_server vLLM 0.30.0 base shards

* fix: rank GDN physical-label candidates by source and map the remaining 2026-10 labels

* fix: keep an explicit attention override ahead of the framework-default lane

d78db6b re-ranked the whole pinned head of the lane walk by whether the
requested version collected each lane. The pinned head holds both the
explicit override's labels and the framework-default lane, which is a
different backend, so an override whose rows only a donor version carries
could be overtaken by the default: B200 SGLang 0.5.21 with Triton rows and
inherited 0.5.14 `trtllm_mha` rows walked ["triton", "trtllm_mha", ...] for
attention_backend="trtllm_mha" (simone-chen's review: 0.008434 ms from
Triton instead of the requested lane's 0.010391 ms).

The evidence bundle keeps the 20 findings collector and generator code cite

…LLM 1.3.0rc29

Main already ships the 2026-10 campaign tables for these runtimes (ai-dynamo#517),
but its collector still defaults to vLLM 0.24.0 / SGLang 0.5.14 /
TRT-LLM 1.3.0rc20. This lands the collector that produced those tables.
It is the collector half of ai-dynamo#228; the op-probe harness follows separately.

- Runtime pins and audits: framework_manifest defaults move to vLLM 0.30.0,
  SGLang 0.5.21 and TRT-LLM 1.3.0rc29. Per-op __compat__ spans keep main's
  GLM-5.3-Flash pins (vLLM 0.31.0, SGLang 0.5.20). The SGLang gemm fork for
  0.5.20 applies to exactly 0.5.20, so the 0.5.21 default keeps its own path.
- Op ports to the new runtimes (sglang runtime_compat, vLLM attention
  metadata, TRT-LLM GDN / DSV4 / MoE), new kernel_source label translations
  and the regenerated op_backend_facts registry.
- vLLM and SGLang MoE run FlashInfer's autotuner before timing and log the
  chosen tactic and fallback reasons per case (the fix behind the SM100
  NVFP4 MoE data).
- Collection cost: vLLM MLA/DSA modules sweep a whole seq_len or
  isl x prefix series per build; DSA modules are measured at the per-rank
  heads their TP shards produce; graph-timed modules run fewer eager warmups;
  TRT-LLM reuses GEMM modules and attention layers within a worker and
  recycles the MoE worker every N cases; SGLang MoE builds its layer once per
  token sweep; per-phase timing lines; the stall watchdog counts a worker
  heartbeat as progress.
- The retired DSV4 hca_attn / csa_attn sidecar ops are removed end to end
  (collector, Rust enum, data tables, reuse manifest).
- Generator: a TRT-LLM 1.3.0rc29 template, the SGLang 0.5.20 template
  update, hardware and model facts from the op probes, and token budgets
  rounded up to a multiple of 64 on every backend (the Dynamo 1.2.0
  golden contract now expects 4096 / 3584).
- Nine bundled model configs (two with hf_quant_config) and their
  THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES entries.
- benchmarks/evidence/collector/op-probe-2026-10: the probe findings and
  results the collector and generator comments cite as provenance.
