Rules followed (docs/TRANSLATION.md), as in #387 and #389: product nouns stay English; glossary ja column; every heading keeps its English id (checked against the zh-Hans heading ids); fences filled from the English source byte for byte; UI control labels kept in English; each page stamped with check-translations.mjs --stamp; one line per paragraph.

The branch carries one merge of main at 9586650 so the push fast-forwards; the diff against main is only the 11 files.

Tests

Content-only diff. Local gates on 38384aa:

check-translations: ja 0 stale, 55 missing (was 66), 0 guide-stale; zh-Hans 0/0/0; gate passed.
check-translation-output --files <changed>: no findings.
check-translation-ownership: 11 translation artifacts, 0 other files.
Every page parsed with mdast: no stray * left in text nodes (two CJK-flanking bold spans in forms.ja.mdx were caught this way and fixed).
gen-zh-hant --check, check-doc-samples, type-check, build, test, check-locale-surface, check-positioning, check-search-locales all green.
Rendered with next start (playwright): all 11 pages at desktop 1280, /ja/docs/build/automation/flows at mobile 390. All 200 with html lang="ja", ja H1 and body, no untranslated banner, no page or console errors.

Acceptance notes

PR 3 of 7 (configure/ top level, 14 pages) opens only after this lands and main CI and smoke are green.

…tput (#393) /api/search kept every locale's Orama index (30-40 MB each) and every page module page.data.load() imported, so one Worker isolate grew from 58 MB after its first locale to 283 MB after all eight, and #390's ja pages tipped it past 128 MB into 503s. - scripts/gen-search-data.mjs computes each page's structuredData before next build with fumadocs-mdx's own remark chain and writes one gzipped module per locale to apps/docs/.search/; the route reads that instead of importing page modules. - The route keeps the most recently used locale's index only. - check-search-heap.mjs asks the built route in every locale twice and fails above 100 MB or when the second pass keeps growing; it runs in ci.yml after check-search-locales and its --self-test is in SELF_TESTED.
