What changes

This re-lands #390, which #392 reverted. The 11 files are restored from #390's head 38384aa; git diff 38384aa HEAD -- content/ is empty, so the content is byte-identical to what the seat ACCEPTed on #390.

The branch carries one -s ours merge of the landed #394 branch head so the push fast-forwards; the diff against main is only these 11 files.

Tests

Local, on main 9e51646 plus this commit, with a NEXT_PRIVATE_STANDALONE=true build:

• check-search-heap.mjs: every locale asked twice, heap stayed under 100 MB and stopped growing; second round settled at 50–53 MB.
• check-search-locales.mjs: all 8 locales answer 200, find every own page by title within the first 3, and find nothing for a nonce.
• check-translations.mjs: passed.
• Worker upload (wrangler deploy --dry-run): 59,175.68 KiB against the 61,440 KiB budget, up from 56,596 KiB at fix(search): keep one locale index and read search text from build output (#393) #394. The 11 pages added about 2,580 KiB.

CI run 40873776314 at ace646b was green, including the local-preview smoke check. Search fits the Worker's memory:

Acceptance notes

• After landing, the post-deploy smoke check needs to be green.
• After this PR, 2,264 KiB of Worker budget is left. These 11 pages cost about 235 KiB each. PR 3's 14 pages would add roughly 2.4–3.3 MB, which is likely over the budget. Each translated page adds about 172 KiB to the Worker upload, so full ja coverage (#388) would exceed Cloudflare's 64 MiB Worker limit #395 may need to come before PR 3, not only before PR 4. PR 3 will be measured before it opens.
