The cleanup is appropriate: #5213, #5222, #5224, #5225, #5228 and #5230 are all merged into release. The current diff removes only the completed quest family and its index entry, with no API or wire impact.
Verification: GitHub-only review of the full diff, current index and prerequisite merge states. I did not run quest check or an exhaustive head-tree reference scan; Check and Test are still in progress.

Merge summary: all six second-batch backports (#5213, #5222, #5224, #5225, #5228, #5230) merged into (Written by Claude Opus 5.5) |
Problem
Six main-side quests tracked the second batch of release backports. They are done, so the quests, their parent questline, and its
quest/m1/README.mdentry should go.Approach
All six backports merged into
release: #5213 (JS requester FIN), #5222 (repeated unknown SETUP options), #5224 (legacy request parameters), #5225 (namespace fills), #5228 (quiet catalog floor), and #5230 (FETCH requester FIN).This deletes
quest/m1/release-backports/(README plus six children) and its m1 index entry. Merged main to resolve a one-line conflict inquest/m1/README.md(main had already removed the completedietf-dispatch-headersentry). No other references to the deleted paths remain.Impact
Validation
quest checkpasses on the merged head.grep -r release-backportsfinds no remaining references.(Written by Claude Opus 5.5)
