A first-time reader went from Free sign-up through Build locally on 2026-10-04 and stopped at loading the sample data: both Apps "Before you start" boxes sent him to tutorial/load's Manual Data Loading, which uses CSV Import. That component is deprecated and hidden from the component search (flags deprecated + excludeFromNewList on us-east4). - build-locally: load opportunity.csv with kbagent storage upload-table (the reader connects kbagent anyway), or in the UI with the HTTP data source connector straight from its URL. The sample prompt names the opportunity table instead of in.c-csv-import.opportunity. - Build with Kai: attach the CSV in Kai's chat, the route the Kai docs document (Kai cannot open links). - The sample CSV links download on click. - What are apps: "Anything interactive" links to the three examples on the Apps overview; the page itself has one dashboard screenshot. …the live run The page's VERIFY(Nikita) asked for one run of the sample prompt against the uploaded opportunity.csv. It ran on 2026-10-07 in project 264: an agent with the dataapp-development skill and kbagent 0.97.0 took the prompt word for word, built and deployed a Node app with a line chart, and its startup query read 3 months and 639 rows. Two findings: - "the opportunity table" was ambiguous: project 264 has two tables with that name and the agent had to guess. The prompt now names in.c-sample.opportunity, and the sentence before it tells HTTP-route readers to put their own table's ID in its place. - kbagent 0.97.0 `data-app create --use-managed-git-repo` left parameters.dataApp.git out of the config, so the app ran without a workspace until the agent added the block and redeployed. That is a kbagent bug, not a docs one; the comment keeps a VERIFY(Nikita) to re-run the prompt once it is fixed. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Why
On 4 October a first-time reader went through the Apps docs from zero: Free Plan sign-up, kbagent, then Build locally. He built an app, but stopped on the way at the sample data.
opportunity.csv"as in Manual Data Loading", which links to/tutorial/load/#manual-data-loading. That page uses CSV Import. On us-east4, where Free Plan projects live,/v2/storagelistskeboola.csv-importwith the flagsdeprecatedandexcludeFromNewList, so the component search doesn't show it.Two more stops were outside the Apps section: the kbagent PATH note and the Free Plan stack. They are in #1162.
What changed
Commit 194f5ee
data-apps/build-locally.mdx: loadopportunity.csvwithkbagent storage upload-table --project my-project --table-id in.c-sample.opportunity --file opportunity.csv. Readers of this page connect kbagent anyway, and the command creates the bucket and the table. The UI route is the HTTP data source connector, straight from the URL: base URLhttps://help.keboola.com/tutorial/, one rowopportunity, pathopportunity.csv. The sample prompt now says "the opportunity table" instead ofin.c-csv-import.opportunity.data-apps/getting-started.mdx(Build with Kai): download the CSV and attach it in Kai's chat. Get started with Kai documents this route: CSVs become tables inin.c-uploads-from-Kai, and Kai cannot open links.download. The file is served withcontent-disposition: inline, so a click opened it as text.data-apps/what-are-apps.md: "Anything interactive" links to/data-apps/#beyond-dashboards.Not in this PR

The page comment's VERIFY, one run of the sample prompt against that table, is still open.🤖 Generated with Claude Code
