Summary

Refreshes the By the numbers band on /stories/. Its figures were dated October 1, 2026 and covered seven repos. This updates them to October 29, 2026 and adds Crux as the eighth repo, because it has been a Hive Commons project since v0.1.0 (2026-10-25) and is already on the home-page carousel (#279). The stories page is the link we give event organisers and mentors. The stale figures under-reported outside contributors on the smaller repos: docs went from 1 to 6, hotshot from 1 to 7, promptargs from 1 to 7.

The method is unchanged and is the one recorded in the page's HTML comments. Merged PRs count from 2026-07-01. Human authors are the authors of merged PRs, excluding Bot-type users, dependabot[bot], github-actions[bot] and hivecommons-hive[bot]. Hub figures come from https://hive.hivecommons.dev/api/hub/stats.

• Method check: at the old 2026-10-01T16:56Z cutoff, the method reproduces every published value exactly: 22 / 20 / 5,619, and per repo hive 20, docs 1, pluk 3, hotshot 1, promptargs 1, rationguard 2, dibs 1.
• 26 human PR authors across 8 repos, 24 in hive, per-repo line: GET repos/hivecommons/<repo>/pulls?state=all for hive, docs, pluk, hotshot, promptargs, rationguard, dibs and crux, fetched 2026-10-29T10:31Z.
• 9,409 merged PRs: GraphQL search(query:"repo:hivecommons/<repo> is:pr is:merged merged:>=2026-07-01") issueCount per repo. The values were hive 7933, docs 333, pluk 212, hotshot 174, promptargs 205, rationguard 232, dibs 294 and crux 26, which match the REST count. Without Crux the total is 9,383.
• 27 hives online, 120 agents, 309 PRs: curl -s https://hive.hivecommons.dev/api/hub/stats at 2026-10-29T10:31Z returned {"agents":120,"contributors":5,"hives":27,"issues":323,"online":27,"prs":309}. The hub prs value fell from 466. The page labels it only as what the endpoint reports, so the current value is accurate under that label.

Independently re-ran the page's recorded method at head 9cc2db8 and the new figures check out.

• Merged PRs since 2026-07-01 (GraphQL search … is:pr is:merged, issueCount per repo): hive 7933, docs 333, pluk 212, hotshot 174, promptargs 205, rationguard 232, dibs 294, crux 26 → 9,409, matching stories/index.html:150.
• Hub stats (/api/hub/stats just now): hives 27 / online 27 / agents 120, matching lines 152–153; prs has already drifted 309→311, which is expected for a live counter and the label at line 154 only claims what the endpoint reported at the stamped time.
• Per-repo human authors spot-checked via REST pulls?state=closed with the same bot exclusions: crux = 2, docs = 6, matching the proof-note at line 156.

Scope matches #298 exactly (one file, figures + method comment + date stamp; no links, scripts or redirects touched). Looks correct to me.
