Summary

The homepage proof block ("Figures from Hive's own project") still carried the figures written when the landing page shipped on 2026-09-23 (#12). Since then Hive has merged roughly 4,200 more PRs, so the site was underselling Hive's own track record right where the GitHub Universe talk (#307) now sends visitors. The figures had no date or source, so it was hard to tell they had gone stale. This adds an HTML comment with the date and queries, the same way the stories page's "By the numbers" block does it (#299), so the next refresh is mechanical.

Looks correct to me. What I verified rather than took from the body:

• index.html:264-267 — the two refreshed figures. gh api 'search/issues?q=repo:hivecommons/hive+is:pr+is:merged' returns 9,817 right now, so "9,800+" is accurate; the earliest merged PR was created 2026-04-19, so "April 2026" still holds.
• The dated HTML comment with queries follows the same convention as stories/index.html:147 ("By the numbers" block from #299), so the next refresh is mechanical as the body says.
• The 2.07 h median over 5,512 closed issues I did not reproduce (full GraphQL pagination); the query is documented in the comment, so a maintainer can re-run it.

No links changed; links, test, redirects are green. Nothing blocking from my side.
