feat: show what skilld does differently on home and vs page - #516

Conversation
Visitors kept asking why skilld over skills.sh, and the answer lived in a short Markdown table. The homepage now shows four reasons as small pictures of the real interface, and /vs/skills-sh expands all seven with a sourced skills.sh line each, where skills.sh is ahead, and a full table.

The four-tile grid ran about 1,150px on an already long homepage, and its reasons read as features. Two also repeated bands above it: demos show the output, and every card names its author. The band is now a tab list beside one picture, and the reasons say what a dev gets: no skill bloat, what a Skill runs, what it costs, and rankings anyone can check.
Numbers carried no meaning, since the reasons have no order to follow. An icon per reason makes the rows scannable, on the homepage tabs and the comparison page alike.
Hover picked a new row while keyboard focus stayed on the old one, so the ring and the highlight sat on different rows. Focus now follows a hover pick, and the ring sits inside the row, since the site-wide ring forces its offset with !important. The trust line drops its rule, which doubled the list's last one, and says the registry works without a terminal.

Harlan chose the three reasons that set skilld apart on the homepage: the people behind Skills, demo output to compare before spending tokens, and open trending weights with no paid placement. They sit in three minimal columns on one subgrid, so every column ends at the same height. skilld already shows the partner audit verdicts skills.sh shows, so the comparison no longer lists them as a skills.sh lead. Copy got a pass for generated-sounding phrasing.
Both skilld repositories are public under MIT, so the Independent column now says so and shows the pull requests merged into them most recently. A new feed reads them from GitHub and caches the answer for a day, so it spends about two calls a day. The trending weights move to their own reason on the comparison page. Decorative underlines in the band's pictures and trust line are gone.
Harlan cut the intro line and the trust line's claims. The columns carry every claim, so the band closes on who builds skilld and the route to the comparison.

📚 Description
Visitors ask why they should pick skilld over skills.sh. The answer was a six-row Markdown table at
/vs/skills-sh, and the homepage only linked to it.The homepage gets a "What skilld does differently" band after Trending. It has three minimal columns, each a title, one line, and a small picture of the real interface:
/api/feed/recent-pull-requestsroute reads them from GitHub and caches the answer for a day.The columns share one subgrid, so every column ends at the same height. The band closes on Harlan's avatar and a button to the comparison.
/vs/skills-shis now a Vue page built from the same pictures. It covers eight reasons, the homepage three first. Open trending weights is one of them: the weights fromshared/trending-skill-score.ts, with a link to that file. Each skills.sh line carries its source link, and the page dates the facts to 7 Oct 2026. It lists where skills.sh is ahead and ends on a full table.app/utils/why-skilld.tsholds every string. The page staysnoindexunder the page admissions record. Some claims changed after checking skills.sh:
skills usein May 2026, so the run reason contrasts a temporary directory with writing nothing.COPY.md drops its ban on calling the site open source, since
skilld-dev/skilld.devis public under MIT.The band answers one question: why skilld and not skills.sh. Its one action is "Compare with skills.sh". It adds a band and removes none from the homepage. The Markdown comparison page is deleted.
