Summary by CodeRabbit
New Features
Search hosted connectors across teams when appropriate; results show team and app IDs for precise selection.
Run a selected connection by app ID, including results from another team, without changing the saved current team.
Team listings distinguish the backend default team from the team currently in use.
Documentation
Updated command guidance for team-scoped searches, cross-team search limits, result selection, and exact connection execution.
Walkthrough
The changes add hosted cross-team connector search, preserve app and team identifiers in results, and allow connector runs to select an app by ID. They also update team listing to distinguish the backend default team from the effective current team. Documentation, localization, telemetry descriptions, and tests cover these changes.

# Runtime API And MCP
OpenConnector exposes provider Actions through MCP, HTTP, OpenAPI, local Action guides, and the Web Console. This document is the detailed reference that keeps endpoint lists and protocol examples out of the README.
## Access Surfaces
Surface | Endpoint | Use it for
--- | --- | ---
MCP | `POST /mcp` | Agent hosts that can call MCP tools.
MCP metadata | `GET /mcp/tools` | Preview the discovery-oriented MCP tool set.
HTTP runtime API | `/v1/*` | SDK-style clients, scripts, and direct Action execution.
OpenAPI | `GET /openapi.json` | API importers, reference generation, and strongly scoped one-Action specs.
Action guide | `GET /api/actions/:actionId/agent.md` | Agent-readable markdown guide for one Action.
Web Console | `GET /` | Browser workflow for browsing providers, configuring credentials, and debugging Actions.
When runtime authentication is configured, `/v1/*` and `/mcp` callers should send a bootstrap token, persistent runtime token, or JWT access token as:
`Authorization: Bearer <runtime-token-or-jwt>
`
Persistent runtime tokens carry independent Action rules, provider proxy grants, and optional connection grants. Their `allowedProxies` list is empty by default, so a persistent token cannot call `/v1/proxy/:service` until a provider service or `*` is explicitly granted.
`allowedConnections` belongs only to stored tokens, not to deployment or Runtime policy. Omit the field on create, or send `[]`, for unrestricted connection access. Updates must send the field so a PUT cannot drop an existing restriction. A non-empty list grants exact stable, opaque IDs returned by the connection APIs. Omitting `connectionName` on HTTP, MCP, or proxy requests selects the target provider's default connection, whose ID must be granted. Denied requests fail before credential lookup with HTTP `403` / MCP `connection_not_allowed`. Runtime discovery is filtered to granted credential connections; virtual `no_auth` connections do not require grants. Admin `GET /api/connections` and `GET /api/actions/:actionId/agent.md` stay unfiltered. ## MCP
Point MCP-capable clients at:
`http://localhost:3000/mcp
`
The local MCP endpoint supports stateless `POST` JSON-RPC requests with JSON responses. It does not keep `GET` SSE streams open.
The MCP server exposes a small discovery-oriented tool set:
* `list_apps`
* `list_connections`
* `search_actions`
* `get_action_guide`
* `execute_action`
Use `list_connections` to discover configured accounts before selecting one. Both `get_action_guide` and `execute_action` accept an optional `connectionName`:
`get_action_guide` request:
{
"actionId": "example.get_record",
"connectionName": "secondary"
}
`execute_action` request:
{
"actionId": "example.get_record",
"connectionName": "secondary",
"input": {
"recordId": "record-123"
}
}
Omitting `connectionName` uses the `default` connection. A requested named connection must exist; the runtime does not silently fall back to another account. Connection results expose only safe account identity fie…[truncated]</excerpt>

<excerpt>citeturn0search0 [wordlim: 200] Crawled: last month; ## HTTP Runtime API ... Select a named connection with `x-oo-connector-alias`: ... curl -s http://localhost:3000/api/actions/github.get_current_user/agent.md ... * `GET /openapi.json`
Persistent tokens with a non-empty `allowedConnections` list see only those connections in `list_connections` and related discovery; `list_apps` omits a provider's default connection identity when that connection's ID is not granted. `get_action_guide` and `execute_action` deny ungranted credential connections before lookup. Virtual `no_auth` connections remain available.
Preview MCP tool metadata:
curl -s http://localhost:3000/mcp/tools
## HTTP Runtime API
Runtime clients should use `/v1`. Responses use a uniform JSON envelope:
{
"success": true,
"message": "OK",
"data": {},
"meta": {}
}
Discover Actions:
curl -s http://localhost:3000/v1/actions
curl -s "http://localhost:3000/v1/actions?service=github"
curl -s http://localhost:3000/v1/actions/github.get_current_user
Execute an Action:
curl -s -X POST http://localhost:3000/v1/actions/github.get_current_user \
-H 'content-type: application/json' \
-d '{"input":{}}'
Select a named connection with `x-oo-connector-alias`:
curl -s -X POST http://localhost:3000/v1/actions/github.get_current_user \
-H 'x-oo-connector-alias: work' \
-H 'content-type: application/json' \
-d '{"input":{}}'
The `alias` query parameter is also accepted:
curl -s -X POST "http://localhost:3000/v1/actions/github.get_current_user?alias=work" \
-H 'content-type: application/json' \
-d '{"input":{}}'
`alias` is the `/v1` name for a named connection. MCP tools use `connectionName` for the same fact, and HTTP also accepts `connectionName` in the query or JSON body. The default connection is `default`.
Persistent tokens with a non-empty `allowedConnections` list must be granted the selected stable connection ID. Omitting the alias selects the target provider's default connection and is denied unless that connection's ID is listed. The denial is HTTP `403` with `connection_not_allowed` and happens before credential lookup. `/v1/apps` discovery for that token is filtered to granted credential connections.
Unknown Action ids return `404 unknown_action` on both `/v1` and MCP `execute_action` / `get_action_guide`. Schema and idempotency-key failures stay `400 invalid_input`.
### Idempotent Action Retries
`POST /v1/actions/:actionId` accepts an optional `Idempotency-Key` header. Without this header, every request is executed normally. Generate a new, unpredictable key for each logical operation, then reuse that key only when retrying the same operation:
IDEMPOTENCY_KEY=$(openssl rand -hex 16)
curl -s -X POST http://localhost:3000/v1/actions/github.get_current_user \
-H "Idempotency-Key: $IDEMPOTENCY_KEY" \
-H 'content-type: application/json' \
-d '{"input":{}}'
The runtime trims leading and trailing whitespace from the key. The remaining value must be non-empty and no longer than 255 UTF-8 bytes; invalid values return `400 invalid_input`. The key namespace is runtime-wide rather than scoped to a bearer token, caller, or connection, so callers should use sufficiently unique values.
When this header is present, the Action input must not exceed an object/array nesting depth of 100 levels. Deeper inputs return `400 invalid_input` before the Action is dispatched.
The request identity includes the Action id, JSON input, and effective connection. JSON object key order does not affect the identity, and explicitly selecting the `default` connection is equivalent to omitting the connection. Re…[truncated]</excerpt>

Send --app-id through the self-hosted selector header.
The self-hosted runtime supports app-ID selection through x-oo-connector-app-id, but runConnectorAction sends appId only as ?appId=.... The selector helper adds only the connection-name header. A self-hosted runtime can ignore the unsupported query and use its default connection, or reject the request.
Send the app ID in the self-hosted header and retain the query parameter for OOMOL-hosted targets.

Review comment at @src/application/commands/connector/shared.ts at line 396:
Update runConnectorAction and connectorConnectionSelectorHeaders so self-hosted
targets send the selected app ID in the x-oo-connector-app-id header, while
OOMOL-hosted targets continue sending it as the appId query parameter. Keep the
existing connection-name header behavior unchanged.

appId,跨团队结果同时保留teamId/teamName。
