Merge Risk: 🔵 Low · up to The change adds a 200k context-accounting opt-in and widens the [1m] marking rules. One narrow discovery edge case remains: a synthetic [1m] picker choice can replace a genuine model with the same ID. This only affects catalogs that list both a base ID and a genuine [1m]-suffixed ID. It is a small, localized fix and does not block the main behavior. Pre-merge checks |

Update the owned structure documents
This new configuration policy changes src/claude/, src/cli/, src/server/, and src/types/, but the commit updates no corresponding structure/ source-of-truth documents. Update the documents mapped to these areas in structure/INDEX.md—at least the runtime, Claude Desktop, configuration, CLI-management, and management-API descriptions—so the architecture documentation records the new default/opt-in behavior and its propagation across surfaces.

The opt-in did change owned contracts, and those docs were still silent. d5af50e07 records claudeCode.contextAccounting "200k" in the docs whose local explanation changed: structure/clients/claude-desktop.md (picker marking), structure/subagents.md (generated and forced selectors), structure/config.md (the stored field), and structure/gui-and-management-api.md (GET/PUT). runtime.md does not describe Claude marking and is at the 600-line budget, so the policy is not copied there. cli-management.md describes capability machinery; the flag is already in the generated skill surface from this PR.

claudeCode.contextAccounting decides what opencodex picks by default on
Claude surfaces. Absent (1m, the default) keeps long-window models at 1M.
"200k" opts out everywhere at once: resolveAutoContext returns a mode under
which nothing is marked [1m] automatically and no compact window is
injected, the Desktop pickers leave rows unmarked, Desktop 3P keeps
supports1m but drops prefer1m, and generated or forced subagents keep an
unmarked selector bare. A selector the user marks [1m] keeps it, and
discovery still lists genuine 1M rows as a choice.
Settable with `ocx claude config set --context-accounting <1m|200k>` and
PUT /api/claude-code ("1m" drops the key, other values are a 400); GET
reports it and a change re-applies the system env. Documented in the Claude
Code guides.

Review follow-up: an explicit [1m] stays available but generated and forced subagents still drop a marker the window cannot carry, and an exported compact window no longer re-enables automatic marking while opencodex leaves the export itself in place. The Claude Desktop, subagent, config, and management-API contracts now state that claudeCode.contextAccounting "200k" stops automatic 1M marking while an explicit marker and genuine 1M discovery rows stay. Co-authored-by: JUN <jun@lidgeai.com>

Reserve genuine model IDs before adding widened variants.
If the catalog contains example/foo with a 900,000-token window and a genuine example/foo[1m] model, the first row now generates the second row’s discovery ID. When foo appears first, seen then drops the genuine row. The picker shows a synthetic choice in place of that model. Check realDiscoveryIds before claiming the variant ID, as pushFastVariant already does.

Summary
After #6780, long-window models are offered at 1M on every Claude surface by default. This adds the requested explicit way back to 200k accounting:
