Goal

Position kmrs as a full-featured Komga drop-in replacement with additional capabilities and a small footprint, rather than leaving users to infer that the lightweight binary is a CBZ/CBR-only subset.

Changes

  • Rewrite the README introduction around the same library formats, API, and database, plus additional capabilities.
  • Make CBZ/ZIP, CBR/RAR, PDF, and EPUB support explicit, including libpdfium for PDF rendering.
  • Add a Beyond Komga feature entry with representative enhancements and link the full Enhancements documentation.
  • Highlight no JVM, bounded memory, and container caches for efficient page serving in the README, OCI image description, and GitHub repository description.

Testing

  • git diff --check
  • Documentation and metadata only; no Rust code changed.
  • Verified the format and enhancement wording against the media scanner, PDFium integration, and existing feature documentation.
