What

The v0.0.4 feature release (version bumped in Cargo.toml):

bqc sniff index — persistent Salmon 2.x transcriptome index for reuse with bqc sniff strand --index:

  • --sequence takes a transcriptome FASTA, plain or gzipped
  • default destination is <stem>.index beside the FASTA
  • --output-directory and --prefix override location and name
  • --force replaces an existing directory; without it the dest is refused before the build
  • same optional sniff-strand feature as sniff strand
  • --transcriptome on sniff strand remains the throwaway one-shot

Verification

cargo test --features sniff-strand --test strand: 13 passed (including 5 sniff_index_* cases). cargo test --lib: 244 passed. cargo clippy --features sniff-strand --all-targets -- -D warnings: clean.

Persistent Salmon 2.x transcriptome index from a FASTA (plain or
gzipped), written beside the FASTA as <stem>.index or to
--output-directory/--prefix. Same sniff-strand feature as sniff strand.
