The palette switched between commands and threads through a query prefix. Its initial lists depended on history or sidebar order, and row categories repeated section information.

What changed

Use explicit Threads mode with Escape returning to Commands.
Show a stable command catalog and newest-updated active threads before typing.
Use tighter spacing, shared empty states, and accessible thread-status icons.
