Integration note for the actual Math build layout: run the isolation audit separately for each independently built Lean context, then authenticate complete union coverage with the canonical global inventory. This is an exact-scope composition requirement, not a new tool or a waiver of full-tree coverage. Current70/53 self-verification and focused review remain applicable without reruns; actual repository G1 and complete cross-context coverage remain NOT_RUN until the integrator supplies those authenticated manifests. |
…vidence Close numeral/axiom and nested-string placeholder admissions with the unchanged canonical698 lexer and fail-closed metadata/error adapter. Require pristine selected-population and body/lifecycle provenance for mutation kills. Preserve original sources, failures, redundant survivors and scoped fresh/reused evidence.
Use a synchronous None-return selected-method profile and refuse wrapped suspended functions before execution. Reject all non-None returns without evaluating or advancing them. Preserve RED, four focused controls/two modes, exact guard evidence and applicable scanner/kernel history.

Exclude checker-origin assertion crashes from mutation kills
When a checker mutant raises AssertionError during a test body, this handler treats the checker crash as a behavioral assertion failure without checking its origin. I reproduced this through run_one() by inserting if text == "x=1/2": raise AssertionError("checker runtime crash") into check_python(): the full 79-method auditor population reported KILLED, one assertion failure and zero errors, although the affected subtest never reached its assertIn check. This violates G0's stated exclusion of runtime errors from kills and can credit a broken checker toward admission. Distinguish checker-origin exceptions from test assertions in both direct and subtest failure handling.

Confirmed as a new origin-classification defect, separate from the closed setup/import and loader-identity cases. Both owned graders have an isolated repair that distinguishes pinned test-oracle code and trusted unittest assertion helpers from checker-origin exceptions, in direct and subtest paths. Valid assertRaises/mock/test-helper oracles are being preserved within an explicit trusted-test-source profile. Existing actual oracle traces remain applicable; no full test or Lean replay is being used as a substitute for this focused repair. This thread remains open until the reviewed source/evidence is published.

Reject floating-point string formatting in exact programs
When % operates on a formatting string, allowing Mod also permits implicit floating-point conversion, not just exact numeric remainder. I reproduced STATIC_PASS with no findings for n = 9007199254740993; x = int("%.0f" % n), although execution produces x == 9007199254740992: formatting rounds the integer through floating point before the allowed int() call converts it back. This silently corrupts an integer result inside the advertised exact-arithmetic profile without any float literal, division or unsupported call. Refuse floating-point string formatting, or require operands to be established as exact numeric values before accepting %.

Confirmed. A narrow integer-origin profile is being added for %: exact integer literals/pure integer operators and uninterrupted module-level integer assignment chains remain supported; string/bytes aliases, nested/comprehension bindings and unestablished/interrupted values fail closed. The retained exact x%=3 positive is preserved. Actual formatting REDs, a comprehension-shadowing RED and focused normal/optimized guard controls are retained. No general datatype inference or bound relaxation is introduced. This thread remains open until publication.

PATCH for #697's open P2 4417912953: a checker-raised Why now. The author's reply (4418292808, 29 Oct 21:52Z) described a repair for both owned graders, but none has been published in about 39 hours. I fixed the same defect in #696's grader today (#696). This patch applies the same rule here and, as the author wanted, keeps mock assertion oracles. The change ( Evidence (CPython 3.11.17,

Subject: [PATCH] fix(cbz): credit only test-oracle assertions as Layer A
mutation kills
The phase-aware runner credited any AssertionError raised in a selected
body or subtest, so a checker that merely raised AssertionError counted
as a behavioral kill (review 4417912953). The reviewer's reproducer, a
conditional `raise AssertionError` in check_python(), was graded KILLED.
An AssertionError now counts only when the innermost traceback frame
outside unittest and its mock assertion helpers lies in the selected
test's own module. One raised inside the checker is recorded as an
uncredited failure, so classify_test_result grades it ERROR, like any
other crash. Two harness tests fail first: a checker-origin assertion
on the real population, and a fixture with checker-origin assertions in
a body and a subtest. The fixture also keeps a failing mock assertion
oracle a kill.
112 tests pass in normal and optimized mode, and G0 still kills 68 of
68 checker-source mutants in both modes.

Subject: [PATCH] fix(cbz): refuse float string formatting via % in exact
Python (v2)
P1 4417912958: "%.0f" % n rounded through float before int(). Narrow
integer-origin profile for %: exact integer literals, pure integer
operators, and uninterrupted top-level plain-Name integer assignment
chains remain supported; everything else fails closed.
v2 (a16 CHANGES_NEEDED 697/6551709929): any binding of a name outside
an accepted top-level plain-Name Assign/AnnAssign/AugAssign target
(tuple/list/starred destructuring, for/with/except/walrus/match
targets, nested statement bodies, del, global/nonlocal, def/class/
import names) permanently bans that name from the integer set.
Supersedes patch sha256 0d499f82...6aac.

This adds bounded manifest/classification, import-isolation, exact-Python syntax, vacuity metadata and status-receipt checks. Current head
8958ee09a37d652ad2f533e10e4925367e0361bc, following numeric repair19b8e20. Final future-use admission remains open for the two new findings below; actual repository G1 remains NOT_RUN until complete authenticated contexts/module maps/union coverage are supplied.Published repairs cover numeral-adjoining declarations, augmented division/powers, candidate/package-prefix engineering dependencies, explicit-null status flags and unsupported ES-module/notebook source. The canonical698 hazard lexer remains unchanged. The new ordinary-test loader binds declared class/function/code identities before construction and actual body execution; lifecycle/lazy-return/foreign-subtest boundaries remain enforced.
Observed scoped evidence:
New isolated repairs in progress:
-4417912953: a checker-origin AssertionError can count as a test assertion. Both graders are adding explicit oracle-origin checks.
-4417912958: string
%formatting can implicitly round integers through float. The exact-Python profile is being tightened while preserving legitimate exact integer remainder controls. The predecessor trusted-default intake failure730>500 remains explicit; current1115-path admission depends on the separately published Main#708 bounded-discovery repair (latest59665a79), preserving public-submission500/file50/byte limits. Hosted CI is pending for this exact head. No mathematical/kernel replay, full repository G1, scientific promotion or CBZ-0 claim. Portable commands and registry/limits are under cbz/contributions/math514/layer_a; Root#684/#685 retains canonical integration.
