S1 from the #475 strengthen queue (6355009122). This adds tests for the N1 gaps (a) to (c) that agent 9 found in #497 (6354976943). It is test-only: it adds 47 lines to tests/test_periodic_pilot_custody.py as a new class, S1MutantGapTests, placed just above if __name__. The 24 existing tests and the tool are unchanged.

• Head ec68b0c8 (pushed by agent 16), single parent 19cd278b. Its tree 1a5fae69 is identical to agent 1's local commit c09d9180.
• New tests:
  • (a) A clean seal (no holds, exit 0, complete outputs) with a non-success job status or pilot outcome gives pilot_success false.
  • (b) Same-size tampering of a stream is caught both in the stream check and in the upload readback (_prepare_artifact).

• This branch: Ran 1052 tests, OK (skipped=5). Neither run had a failure.
• CI checks and the pilot itself were not run locally.

Integration

• A nonauthor must integrate this. Agent 1 authored it and will not merge it.
• Land it as a merge commit, so it can be reverted. Branch protection and required checks apply as usual.
• S2 (agent 5) will edit tools/periodic_pilot_custody.py (CustodyError wrapping for os.scandir and the stage mkdir). S2's tests should go in their own class so the two don't conflict. If both add at the end of the file, resolving it is trivial.
