Cap first exit in Lean v1.7 (stacked on #255): L7 kernel-checked, existence, uniqueness and implicit-function regularity of the ridge - #257
Conversation
…the ridge (L7) Stacked on v1.6 (Math-#255). Adds seven declarations (standard axioms only): - slice_critical_unique: a delta-strongly concave slice (delta > 0) has at most one critical point; - slice_critical_exists: with |Df(0)| < delta R the maximum over the compact ball is interior, hence critical (radial derivative < 0 on the sphere from the strong-concavity engine; tangent-cone condition); - isInvertible_of_negDef: a negative definite A : E ->L E ->L R is invertible in finite dimension; - ridge_hasStrictFDerivAt: the implicit function of the transverse gradient (Mathlib implicitFunctionOfProdDomain) is a critical point near h x0, so it equals h, giving h' = -(d_y G)^-1 d_x G; - ridge_differentiable: h strictly differentiable on [-2r, 2r] given the slice data on an open U containing it (f C^4 near D); - ridge_exists: a ridge map h exists on U by choice; - h1Toy_ridge_differentiable: the hypotheses hold for h1ToyF. The 81 v1.6 declarations are unchanged. Interface I3 shrinks to L6 and L9-L12 (hconv) plus the derivative data. Source gate, unit tests (both modes) and --execute (88 declarations, three negative controls) pass locally. Scientific effect NONE. …omain ridge premises Answers the two Codex P2 findings on Math-#257. - h1Toy_ridge_differentiable now states, as conjuncts of its proposition, every hypothesis of ridge_differentiable at h1ToyF (h = 0, G = -40y, DG = -40 snd, delta = 40, U = (-3, 3)), and derives that theorem's conclusion from them. Its checked target is no longer the trivial strict differentiability of a constant. - README, ALIGNMENT (SP row, slices_strongConcave and ridge_differentiable rows, toy paragraph, I3) and the file header now list the full-domain ridge premises as unformalized: the L7 lemmas take the slice data on an open U containing [-2r, 2r], while slices_strongConcave and ridge_capHyp_H1 cover only x in [-2r, r/2], and no declaration composes ridge_exists/ridge_differentiable with the source route. 88 declarations, unchanged list; the 81 v1.6 declarations are untouched. Source gate, 18 tests and gate.py --execute (axioms, negative controls) pass. Applies Grok Bot agent 6's K1 read (Math-#257 comment 5974574796) verbatim: - ALIGNMENT I3 names the identification of G with the slice gradient along the ridge (hG) and the negative definiteness of DG x . inr on [-2r, 2r] (hneg); - the ridge_differentiable row says hG, hGs, hneg on [-2r, 2r] are not derived; - README lists the same inputs. MANIFEST hashes refreshed. CapFirstExit.lean unchanged. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com> Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_017Mi3hxjaxV45x6zo6o1ee3
- Brings in Math-#257's K1 change (hG, hneg in I3). Adapted to v1.8: since v1.8 ridge_capHyp_source derives hG and hneg along the ridge (DG . inr = H, transverse_hessian_le_D on the collar); hGs stays a collar hypothesis. The v1.7 README bullet that K1 extends no longer exists in v1.8. - Applies Grok Bot agent 7's K2 read (Math-#258 comment 5974475787): the "Since v1.8 ... are proved" sentence moves from I3's list of inputs to its third column. Also its optional wording nits: SP row "the route up to L12 (hconv) is composed"; README "L3-L4 on a collar of SP's D". MANIFEST hashes refreshed. CapFirstExit.lean unchanged. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com> Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_017Mi3hxjaxV45x6zo6o1ee3
- Carries Math-#257's K1 (hG, hneg in I3, with the v1.8 qualifier) and Math-#258's K2 (I3 structure, SP row and README wording). - Applies Grok Bot agent 5's K3 read (Math-#259 comment 5974479435): A1, the ridge_hconv row names the mixed form T[(1, eta), (1, eta), (1, h'(s))] with eta frozen, which CAP (12)'s block estimate bounds by the same constant; A2, I3 says that of L1-L12 only L4's f_xxx >= 7/4 remains an input and lists the source data that stay collar hypotheses (incl. |f_xxx| <= m through the G0 pair). Combined with K2: the proved steps move to the third column. MANIFEST hashes refreshed. CapFirstExit.lean unchanged. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com> Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_017Mi3hxjaxV45x6zo6o1ee3
Carries the K1-K4 alignment-read wording changes (Math-#257-#260) into v2.1's ALIGNMENT and README. I3 now says: no analytic step of L1-L20 is assumed; since v2.1 the quantitative source data are needed on D only, with qualitative data on a collar. MANIFEST hashes refreshed. CapFirstExit.lean unchanged. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com> Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_017Mi3hxjaxV45x6zo6o1ee3

C136 integration completion — MERGED / VERIFIED SCOPED FORMAL SOURCE
Scientific effect remains NONE. This formalizes the seven v1.7 ridge existence/uniqueness/IFT declarations within their stated interfaces. The full-domain ridge premises, source-route composition, L6 and L9–L12 quantitative inputs, persistence-module identification, stochastic layer, and Math #193 remain outside this integration. Builds, axiom audits, checks and merge do not promote the parent theorem. |
