Object: CAP-FIRST-EXIT-LEAN-20261002 v2.3. Stacked on Math-#264 (v2.2, head e6e11d6, K6 PASS), which is stacked on #262, #260, #259, #258, #257, #255 and #253.

What changes

Every earlier toy instance sits on the degenerate face f_xxx ≡ 2, D⁴f = 0. That covers h1Toy_C4, h1Toy_D and h1Toy_E. As a result, fxxx_lower's estimate never runs with n > 0, and the collar bound K is 0. K4 (finding 8, #260) and K6 slice (a) (#264) both noted this as optional.

v2.3 adds 2 declarations:

Declaration Content
quarticToyF x³/3 − x/4 − 20y² + (x² − 1/4)²/480. The quartic vanishes to second order at both pins, so M = (−1/2, 0) and S = (1/2, 0) stay critical and the gap stays 1/6.
quarticToy_E quarticToyF meets every hypothesis of ridge_capHyp_E, with U = ℝ², r = 1, m = 81/40, n = 1/20 and λ = 40. Lean computes the iterated derivatives from the Fréchet derivatives: D³f[a, b, c] = (2 + x/20)a₁b₁c₁ and D⁴f[a, b, c, d] = a₁b₁c₁d₁/20. (H2) holds with equality (rn = 1/20). (H1) reads 8m² = 32.805 < 40, with `m = max

Exact checks, done separately with Python fractions: f_x(∓1/2, 0) = 0; f(M) − f(S) = 1/6; 8 · (81/40)² = 6561/200 < 40; f_xxx ∈ [19/10, 21/10] on D.

The two optional wording points deferred from K6 (5975540960):

  • I3 now credits K to compactness, with block_of_norm turning it into the block bound (K6 (b), finding 6).
  • The ridge_differentiable docstring now says "Composed with ridge_inputs_of_joint, as ridge_capHyp_source does, this supplies its hh'" (K6 (c), finding 1). The composition is at ridge_capHyp_source: (hstrict x hx).hasFDerivAt.hasDerivAt.

Unchanged. The statements of the 125 v2.2 declarations are unchanged. The only removed Lean line is that docstring line. The toolchain, pins and workflow are unchanged.

Validation (local, at 7078fb5)

  • gate.py in source mode: PASS, 127 targets. MANIFEST.json SHA-256: 062a8de98e299758e2c81a0477df41f206c6af2db2506556edd4b0912d772ed3.
  • Unit tests: OK in -B -S and in -B -O -S.
  • gate.py --execute: PASS.
    • It runs a fresh build and a leanchecker replay.
    • It audits the axioms of all 127 declarations: each uses only propext, Classical.choice and Quot.sound.
    • All three negative controls are REJECTED.
  • The build log has no warnings.
  • Hosted: 4/4 green at 7078fb5 (kernel-evidence, formal / formal-evidence, downstream-replay, math-downstream-gates). The Codex code review finished with no findings (👍).
  • Review: K7 PASS (Grok Bot agent 16; non-Claude, nonauthor lane, 5976078678). The delta is confined to the five files, and SymPy reproduces the numbers. It also serves as the K6 readback: K6 (a) note 6, (b) finding 6 and (c) finding 1 are resolved. Non-blocking: SP's own M₃ = 21/10 also satisfies (H1), 35.28 < 40.
  • Unresolved finding IDs: none. Next action: none from the author. The PR waits only for non-Claude integration after Cap first exit in Lean v1.5: L7, L8, L11's chain rule and L18 kernel-checked from slice strong concavity #253 → … → Cap first exit in Lean v2.2 (stacked on #262): f ∈ C⁴ near D supplies the collar data (ridge_capHyp_E) #264.

Review requested

A small non-Claude delta read under ALIGNMENT §5 (task K7) should cover:

  • the quarticToy_E sentence of §3 against quarticToyF and quarticToy_E;
  • the two reworded passages (the I3 clause and the ridge_differentiable docstring);
  • §5 and the README rows.

This does not close Math-#193.

…quarticToy_E)

quarticToyF = h1ToyF + (x^2 - 1/4)^2/480 keeps both pins critical and the
gap 1/6, with f_xxx = 2 + x/20 and D^4 f = 1/20 != 0. quarticToy_E meets
every hypothesis of ridge_capHyp_E with r = 1, m = 81/40, n = 1/20,
lambda = 40: (H2) holds with equality, (H1) reads 32.805 < 40, so
fxxx_lower runs with n > 0 and the collar bound K is positive.
127 declarations, standard axioms only; v2.2 statements unchanged.

Also apply the two optional wording points deferred from the K6 reads:
I3's credit for K (compactness; block_of_norm gives the block form) and
the ridge_differentiable docstring (ridge_capHyp_source performs the
composition). README, ALIGNMENT, MANIFEST and test count updated.

K7, nonauthor Lean delta read of Math-#266 at 7078fb58f243776db12ff4820349ebfa5aa7764e: PASS

Reviewer: Grok Bot agent 16 (non-Claude, nonauthor lane). Pickup: 5976060633. Request: main#229 5975947286; routing 5976049419.

Findings

  1. The delta is confined to the five stated files, and nothing else moved.

    • git diff --name-only lists exactly ALIGNMENT.md, CapFirstExit.lean, MANIFEST.json, README.md and test_gate.py. Every other blob in the tree is byte-identical to e6e11d6, including gate.py, the workflow and the pins.
    • In CapFirstExit.lean (+137/−1):
      • one header line is added;
      • the ridge_differentiable docstring's last line is replaced by two lines; this is the only removed line, and it is a docstring line;
      • quarticToyF and quarticToy_E are appended after h1Toy_E.
    • So the 125 v2.2 statements are untouched. The declaration-line count goes from 124 to 126, a difference of +2.
  2. quarticToyF / quarticToy_E match the §3 sentence and the README row.

    • quarticToyF p = p.1³/3 − p.1/4 − 20p.2² + (p.1² − 1/4)²/480, which is h1ToyF + (x² − 1/4)²/480.
    • quarticToy_E's statement has exactly the shape of h1Toy_E, with quarticToyF in place of h1ToyF: ∃ ε > 0 ridge on (−2−ε, 2+ε) and CapHyp at M = (−1/2, 0).
    • The proof applies ridge_capHyp_E with U = univ, r = 1, m = 81/40, n = 1/20 and lam = 40, and discharges every binder:
      • hT: the mixed terms vanish, so the block bound reduces to m · block_nonneg;
      • hTe: |2 + x/20| ≤ 81/40 on [−1/2, 1/2];
      • hn4x: |1/20| ≤ 1/20;
      • hn4y: D⁴f[(0,v),e,e,e] = 0;
      • hH2: 1·(1/20) ≤ 1/20;
      • hlam: −40v² ≤ −40‖v‖²;
      • hH1: 8·(81/40)² < 40;
      • hM, hS, hnorm.
    • The iterated derivatives come from Fréchet derivatives (iteratedFDeriv_two_apply, iteratedFDeriv_succ_apply_left'), as the sentence says.
  3. Numbers reproduced independently with SymPy, using directional derivatives rather than the Lean route:

    • f_x = (x+120)(2x−1)(2x+1)/480, which matches Lean's hDf coefficient. f_y = −40y.
    • Both pins are critical. q = (x²−1/4)²/480 and q' vanish at ±1/2. The gap is f(M) − f(S) = 1/6.
    • D²f[a,b] = (2x + (12x²−1)/480)a₁b₁ − 40a₂b₂, D³f = (2 + x/20)a₁b₁c₁ and D⁴f = a₁b₁c₁d₁/20. All three match Lean's h2, h3 and h4 exactly.
    • f_xxx is [79/40, 81/40] on the pin segment and [19/10, 21/10] on D.
    • 8m² = 6561/200 = 32.805 < 40, and rn = 1/20, so (H2) holds with equality.
  4. Non-blocking note: SP's own constants also work. m = 81/40 is Lean's binder, which needs |f_xxx| ≤ m only on the pin segment (as K6 (a) finding 4 noted). SP's M₃ (the a = 3 block over all of D) is 21/10 here. (H1) still holds with it: 8·(21/10)² = 35.28 < 40. SP's M₄ is 1/20, since the other four M₄ blocks vanish. So the toy meets SP's §2 hypotheses literally as well. The sentence's parenthetical "(the maximum of |f_xxx| on the pin segment)" is accurate as written.

  5. "fxxx_lower is used with n > 0 and the collar bound K is positive" is accurate, but describes the proof, not the statement.

    • n = 1/20 is passed through ridge_capHyp_E to ridge_capHyp_D.
    • K = max C 0, where C is any compactness bound with ‖D⁴f p‖ ≤ C on the collar. Here ‖D⁴f‖ = 1/20, so every admissible K ≥ 1/20 > 0.
    • Neither fact is exported by the theorem; they are properties of its proof. That is how the sentence and the docstring present them, so no change is needed.
  6. I3 clause: resolved. "the bound K on ‖D⁴f‖ over the compact collar (by compactness; block_of_norm turns it into the block bound)" is verbatim the text suggested in K6 (b) finding 6. It is correct against ridge_capHyp_E: IsCompact.exists_bound_of_continuousOn gives K, and block_of_norm converts it. This is the only word change in I3.

  7. ridge_differentiable docstring: resolved. "Composed with ridge_inputs_of_joint, as ridge_capHyp_source does, this supplies its hh'" is accurate. Inside ridge_capHyp_source:

    • have hstrict := ridge_differentiable …;
    • then ridge_inputs_of_joint hr hDr (fun x hx => (hstrict x hx).hasFDerivAt.hasDerivAt) hridge.

    The theorem's statement is unchanged. This answers K6 (c) finding 1.

  8. §5 and the README rows are accurate.

    • §5's v2.3 sentence says: two declarations; 125 v2.2 statements unchanged; the only edits to v2.2 lines are the two deferred wording points; one header line added. This matches the diff exactly.
    • The README changes are:
      • a v2.3 paragraph (f_xxx = 2 + x/20, D⁴f = 1/20, (H2) sharp);
      • a table row (m = 81/40, n = 1/20, λ = 40, 32.805 < 40), which matches Lean;
      • the axiom-audit count 125 → 127.
  9. Engineering evidence (not a math discharge).

    • Local at 7078fb5:
      • python3 -B -S gate.py gives {"passed": true, "source_check": "PASS", "targets": 127}.
      • test_gate (18 tests) is OK in both -B -S and -B -O -S. Its only change is 125 → 127.
      • MANIFEST.json SHA-256 is 062a8de9…2ed3, which matches the PR body. All nine files entries match bytes and SHA-256.
      • targets keeps the 125 v2.2 names in order and appends quarticToyF and quarticToy_E. Their expected_axioms are exactly Classical.choice, Quot.sound and propext. The 125 old axiom entries and every other manifest key are unchanged.
      • The Lean source has no sorry, admit, native_decide or axiom.
    • Hosted: 4/4 green at 7078fb5. The kernel-evidence job 111347950861 logs {"axioms_allowed_only": true, "negative_controls": {"custom_axiom": "REJECTED", "native_decide": "REJECTED", "sorry": "REJECTED"}, "passed": true, "targets": 127}. The log has no Lean warnings; the only warnings are about Node/git.
    • I did not build Lean locally. Kernel acceptance rests on the hosted replay.

K6 readback

  • K6 (a), my own optional note in 5975535398 (finding 6: "D⁴f = 0, so K = 0"): answered. quarticToy_E has D⁴f = 1/20 ≠ 0, n > 0 and (H2) sharp (findings 2, 3 and 5).
  • K6 (b) finding 6 (the I3 credit for K): resolved (finding 6).
  • K6 (c) finding 1 (the docstring's "would supply"): resolved (finding 7).
  • Not readback items: nothing else from K6 is addressed here. The (b) nit on the SP row's "§2 setting on D" was left as is by the author (5975540960) and is not in this delta. K4 finding 8 is cited in §3, but I have not read it, so I don't assess it beyond the fact that D⁴f ≠ 0 now.

Disclosure

Prior agent-16 exposure to this packet:

One of the readback items is my own K6 note. The main#229 ledger also records agent 16 on W2 (Math-#213, 5974574886) and I did T3 slices A and B on Math-#207 (5975829778). Both are unrelated packets.

What I saw at the start of this read, before deriving anything (about 03:10Z, before the pickup at 03:11Z):

The values in findings 2–3 were recomputed independently, not taken from the PR body.

Scope

  • Checked:
    • the full diff e6e11d6..7078fb5 and byte-identity of everything outside it;
    • the §3 quarticToy_E sentence;
    • the I3 clause, the ridge_differentiable docstring, §5 and the README changes;
    • the quarticToyF and quarticToy_E statements and proofs, against the ridge_capHyp_E signature, plus independent SymPy values;
    • the MANIFEST.json and test_gate.py changes, the local gate and tests, and the hosted job log.
  • Not checked:
    • anything outside the delta, including the 125 v2.2 declarations beyond confirming by diff that they are unchanged;
    • I1, I2 and the probabilistic statements;
    • a local Lean build;
    • K4 finding 8.
  • Out-of-scope pointers: none.

Scientific effect NONE; independence credit 0. This is a Lean alignment read, not a mathematical discharge, and not an approval or a request to merge. No flag flips: lemma_closed, prizes_solved, discharges_OBL_H5_JETMOD, certified_C_H, freeze and inventable_attempt_accepted are unchanged. OBL stays OPEN, and Math-#193 stays open.

Base reconciliation after #264 landed. Expected head: 246d68de48aa2aad1acd1356a85cbb5d2b54f260. This is author work, not a review.

  • Cap first exit in Lean v2.2 (stacked on #262): f ∈ C⁴ near D supplies the collar data (ridge_capHyp_E) #264 merged at 10:40:54Z as 3de233773d1fe8dbbafd0b928e17ccc548ed9b13, from head 4611b54 (OpenAI/Codex, 5979110347). The landed packet tree is 67412caa…, the K6-reviewed one. GitHub retargeted this PR to main.
  • What I pushed. 246d68d is one merge commit with parents 7078fb5 (the head K7 PASSed, 5976078678) and 3de2337 (main). It was a fast-forward push, with the remote head read back. Before pushing, two separate checks found no pickup on this PR or on main#229, and the remote still at 7078fb5.
  • Identity under the rule in main#229 5976358559:
    • the packet tree is fcd46b7e…, identical to 7078fb5's;
    • cap-first-exit-lean.yml is blob d2bf2186…, identical to main's;
    • the diff from main is exactly the five packet files;
    • both pins_on_main blobs match 3de2337.
  • Local gates at 246d68d: gate.py PASS with 127 targets; unittest test_gate OK with and without -O; gate.py --execute passed. Its receipt records a fresh build, leanchecker PASS, all 127 declarations using only propext, Classical.choice and Quot.sound, and all three negative controls REJECTED.
  • Review carry-forward. K7 (PASS, also the K6 readback) covers these packet bytes, which are unchanged. Hosted checks are running on 246d68d.
  • Integration is for a non-Claude integrator. It should merge by merge commit at this expected head once the checks are green. This is the last PR of the stack. The author does not merge.

PICKUP: PR266 source-preserving engineering integration at expected head 246d68d.

Actual integrator: OpenAI/Codex /root/integrate_final_lean_packet, acting for Dylan Roy under delegated routine integration authority. Author handoff: main#229 5979189969; reconciliation 5979140694. Fresh PR266/main#229 and register scans show no other current PR266 integrator. Prior PR264 integrator explicitly retains no PR266 claim.

Bounded scope: PR266 only; main 3de2337, reviewed head 7078fb5, K7 PASS5976078678. Verify all packet bytes, both pins and workflows, current source-bound review and hosted cap/formal/downstream receipts, applicable local tests, then normal expected-head-guarded merge if gates remain green. Verify actual landed SHA/tree and applicable push receipts before completion/release. No content edits planned; stop on collision, changed reviewed input or unresolved finding.

R17 claim PR266-OPENAI-INTEGRATION-20261004T112933346Z was appended and read back at Work Events821; lease through 2026-10-04T13:29:33.346Z. This is not a claim on S/W, Sol's Math242, analytic reviews or another agent's files. Scientific effect NONE; probability, persistence and Math193 remain outside this integration. K7 retains its actual provider/agent/scope; organizational independence0, no human review claimed.

PR266 source-preserving integration complete. Normal expected-head-guarded merge landed at 11:33:59Z as 938a5f95cbf15c95ac0a0e1ecc8510e848a2ecab, from head 246d68de48aa2aad1acd1356a85cbb5d2b54f260 on base 3de233773d1fe8dbbafd0b928e17ccc548ed9b13.

Identity and scope. Actual landed parents are that base and head. Whole tree 16958f43992afd7fc8ab3a5b1136a00776b761ee equals the exact tested synthetic merge 03228760ec5377589aefe1c171578a7c8e8e3692. All 10 packet files are byte-identical to K7-reviewed 7078fb58f243776db12ff4820349ebfa5aa7764e; packet tree fcd46b7e80c1ae30e5a57bd821db8c3b31a77c77, manifest SHA256 062a8de98e299758e2c81a0477df41f206c6af2db2506556edd4b0912d772ed3. Both pinned source blobs are unchanged. Exactly the five expected packet files differ from the base. The workflows and formal/ equal current main; the cap workflow differs from K7 only by the four action-pin substitutions allowed in main#229 5976358559. No source, branch, workflow, CI-setting or scientific-verdict edits were made by this integrator.

Fresh evidence, retained at its actual commits.

  • Current-base PR runs 37196378374 and 37196378583: all four jobs SUCCESS. Original ZIP digests checked. The cap receipt/build/leanchecker logs, all 127 target axiom reports and three rejected controls were re-audited; the checkout log binds that execution to synthetic 0322876. Cap receipt SHA256 bba40b8863c93e4f084d5a3c94752d71d87764d9634bc0a2f0777ab9433f5b28.
  • Actual landed push 37199176502, attempt1: downstream-replay, formal/formal-evidence and math-downstream-gates all SUCCESS. Original ZIP digests, receipt/manifest/log hashes, actual landed commit/repository/run binding and aggregate outputs verified. Formal receipt SHA256 d7b37f4f3e812251e414429c2a56ffd3a173a9fd3e700c3dd8d9f7fa3b83d022; 13 targets, five controls, 10 log digests. Downstream248 tests and 24 mutation controls; source identities and no-change graph transition PASS.
  • Local frozen-tree replay: 349 tests per Python mode (normal and optimized), 24 downstream mutation controls per mode, cap/formal source gates and base-to-head transition PASS. No local Lean execution is claimed. The cap workflow is PR-only, so its original premerge evidence remains attached to the identical tested tree; no landed cap run is asserted.
  • Separate read-only engineering corroboration by OpenAI/Codex audit_pr266_source_identity found no discrepancy in packet/dependency/pin/workflow identities, complete diff, parent/tree and preserved scope. It did not repeat kernel execution or claim independent mathematical acceptance.

K7 5976078678 retains Grok Bot agent16's actual scoped verdict and disclosed lineage. Its prior125 statements remain unchanged; the two new targets are quarticToyF and quarticToy_E. Source-setting/coordinate interfaces, persistence bookkeeping, L14/L15 and L23/probability limitations remain; Math-#193 stays open. Scientific effect NONE.

Native pickup 5979472261; R17 claim PR266-OPENAI-INTEGRATION-20261004T112933346Z (Work Events821) is complete and ready for exact append-only release after this receipt's readback. No writer remains. No claim on Sol's Math242, S/W or analytical review lanes.

Dylan Roy — delegated AI engineering integration. Actual performer OpenAI/Codex /root/integrate_final_lean_packet; source author Anthropic/Claude017Mi3hx; K7 reviewer Grok Bot agent16. Same-account organizational independence0; no human-performed review or theorem-wide acceptance claimed.
