• The procedure was run end to end for Keep reopened tabs and split-view links in their profile #15 and Keep split views together when tabs move to another profile #17: reload in four profiles, a temporary rule, five checks, and cleanup. The rules file matched its backup afterwards.
• Pre-push review findings, both fixed:
  • cleanup removed the throwaway rule instead of restoring the saved settings, which could lose an existing rule for the same host
  • the "done when" for loading was too narrow
