New apps need a distinct icon in the approved OctoSense family, with artwork authored independently of platform masks. Update root/generated-app agent instructions, the script starter SVG and READMEs, quickstart, publishing checklist, card-template pointer and script/image-to-card flows so the same rules reach every new app.
The default format is a 64-point square master with foreground in the central 66%, a restrained illustrated object and ivory/ink materials with supporting accents, and no baked platform corners or outer shadow. The template demonstrates the format; authors must replace its identity before submission and review 64/40/24 px and platform frames. Store apps declare their own bundle artwork, without modifying Makepad or OctoSense's built-in replacement registry.
App Hub's ICONS guide owns packaging and admission limits; it has a matching update. The approved family is tracked in OctoSense PR #555. No admission policy, runtime pins, release workflow or historical evidence changes.
Validation:
tools/octo newinvocation copies the exact shared starter SVG and updated AGENTS instructions.Native UI, devices and optional Wasm build fixtures remain unverified for this change; no app is being published.
