  • site/package.json gets "overrides": { "vite": "6.4.4" }; site/package-lock.json moves vite 5.4.21 → 6.4.4 and esbuild 0.21.5 → 0.25.12.
  • Clears the nine open Dependabot alerts on site/package-lock.json (alerts 1–9: vite <= 6.4.3, esbuild <= 0.24.2). All of them concern the dev server (vitepress dev), not the published static site.
  • VitePress stays at 1.6.4, the current stable release (next is 2.0.0-alpha.20).

Why an override

VitePress 1.6.4 depends on vite ^5.4.14, and no 5.x release has the fixes. The alternatives are moving to the VitePress 2 alpha or dismissing the alerts as dev-only. The override is the smallest change; drop it when a VitePress release depends on a fixed vite.

Validation (local, Node 24, npm 12)

  • npm install with the override, npm ls vite: vite@6.4.4 overridden, @vitejs/plugin-vue uses the same copy.
  • npm run build passes.
  • vitepress dev: /codigest/ and /codigest/ko/commands return 200.
  • Headless Chromium on the built home (en, ko), commands, ko/recipes, installation, security: no console errors, sidebar and nav render.
  • Not checked: hot reload while editing pages.

Independent of #29, #34 and #36; the lock file is the only overlap and those PRs do not touch it.

VitePress 1.6.4, the current stable release, depends on vite 5.4, which
every open Dependabot alert on site/package-lock.json covers (vite <= 6.4.3,
esbuild <= 0.24.2). The build and the dev server work with vite 6.4.4.
