## 2026-10-25 — D-DRAV-1 address-first DR: independently reusable map, demand-driven values → `.claude/plans/d-dr-address-first-value-demand-v1.md`

**Status:** PROPOSAL / DOCUMENTATION ONLY ([#1775](https://github.com/AdaWorldAPI/lance-graph/pull/1775), draft), not a runtime, ABI, optimizer, storage-backend or ONNX/TFLite implementation. **Board entry:** [D-DRAV-1](entries/2026-10-25-d-drav-1-address-first-value-demand.md). **Falsifiers:** AV1–AV12 QUEUED / NOT RUN in [STATUS_BOARD.md](STATUS_BOARD.md); A1/A3 remain NOT RUN on actual workloads and D-DRF-1's scoped foreign-cache exception is undecided.

The sealed DR64/DR256 address/relationship map is an independently useful, version/scope-witnessed structure, not a mandatory prelude to copying all referenced SoA values. Optional local facet caches can be evicted separately; topology-only relationship execution may avoid value fetches where contributor completeness and typed semantics are proven. Five *physical candidates* (MAP / BORROW / GATHER / COMPILED / STORAGE) retain D-RMAP-1A's map/index authority, D-DRF-1's lease and typed writeback contract, native Quack semantics, the no-foreign-gather firewall and existing CycleWriter durability boundaries. Dirty-value changes retain unaffected topology; value-derived support or physical index changes demand appropriate invalidation, successor sealing or refusal. Numeric ONNX/TFLite kernels do not become value-free merely because topology is mapped.

**Evidence:** #1774 has independently counted cache lines and offsets, smaps-verified 4 KiB backing and a seeded shuffled-order arm; it does not prove TLB causality, huge-page benefit, NVMe economics or map-only learning frequency. First proposed lab controls: AV1/AV2 against a scalar oracle, subject to separate approval.
## 2026-10-25 — d-dtm-1-distributed-thought-delta-reasoning-interchange-v1 — computational understanding interchange and staged PR DAG → `.claude/plans/d-dtm-1-distributed-thought-delta-reasoning-interchange-v1.md`

**Status:** S0 PROPOSAL / DOCUMENTATION ONLY (this PR). Hand-off prompt: `.claude/prompts/d-dtm-1-reasoning-interchange-claude-code.md`; EXO-50 is the append-only coordination inbox. Proposes separate P1–P8: independent oracle, DR map/value demand binding, existing proof capsule catalogue, Kafka binary delta log, Flight DoExchange remote fold, temporal replay and consistent snapshot, optional ONNX/TFLite/MeTTa/MORK boundary, and two-node end-to-end falsifier. **None of P1–P8 approved or run.** Preserve D-SAG-6, D-RMAP-1A, D-DRF/D-DRAV, D-DRMC, D-NFC and Quack owners; #1775 remains draft, EXO-148 durable ID type blocker remains unresolved. No runtime/ABI/protocol implementation.

## D-DRAV — address-first DR map and demand-driven value residency (2026-10-25)

**Status: PROPOSAL, DOCS ONLY (#1775 draft).** Plan: [d-dr-address-first-value-demand-v1.md](../plans/d-dr-address-first-value-demand-v1.md). Ledger: [2026-10-25-d-drav-1-address-first-value-demand.md](entries/2026-10-25-d-drav-1-address-first-value-demand.md). Specializes D-DRF-1/D-RMAP-1A without a new owner, executor, ABI, storage backend or admission rule. MAP/BORROW/GATHER/COMPILED/STORAGE are candidate physical paths; A1/A3 remain **NOT RUN**, the cache-exception lapse condition undecided. #1774 is a separate locality probe, not proof of cheap NVMe random access.

| D-id | scope | status | gate / falsifier |
|---|---|---|---|
| **D-DRAV-1** | documentation-only proposal: independent map/value leases, dirty support invalidation, physical storage addressing and native-first ONNX/TFLite value demand | Proposed, docs only (#1775 draft) | source/ACL/index seals, no value-free numerical overclaim, no runtime changes |
| **D-DRAV-AV1** | map-only after gathered values evicted | Shipped, lab (#1776): membership mask over a bound map; signature takes no rows/facet, 6 oracle tests, 3 disable runs; ~2 µs exec vs ~13 µs value gather; `entries/2026-10-25-drav-av1-membership.md` | independent scalar Boolean oracle, provenance and zero value reads |
| **D-DRAV-AV2** | value-dependent operation after cache eviction | Queued (NOT RUN; not authorized) | rehydrate exact witnessed snapshot or refuse stale access |
| **D-DRAV-AV3** | dirty value-only vs value-derived relationship change | Queued (NOT RUN; not authorized) | only dependent support invalidated; successor map/reseal or refusal |
| **D-DRAV-AV4** | compaction, ABA, cross-dataset and ACL collision | Queued (NOT RUN; not authorized) | stale mapping / scope use refuses even at identical ordinal |
| **D-DRAV-AV5** | duplicate-target dirty edits, conflicts and disjoint facets | Queued (NOT RUN; not authorized) | typed deterministic reduction, no lost fields, conflict refusal |
| **D-DRAV-AV6** | queue-full, delayed WAL, ambiguous acknowledgement | Queued (NOT RUN; not authorized) | owned payload and lease safety; same frozen batch retry |
| **D-DRAV-AV7** | MAP / BORROW / GATHER semantic parity | Queued (NOT RUN; not authorized) | preserve Bag, SQL K3, evidence and focus completeness; else refuse |
| **D-DRAV-AV8** | same ordinals in visit and storage-ordered I/O variants | Queued (NOT RUN; not authorized) | same ordered results; count reads, bytes, reorder costs |
| **D-DRAV-AV9** | verified 4 KiB vs 2 MiB backing | Queued (NOT RUN; not authorized) | offset/line controls; TLB causality not inferred from time alone |
| **D-DRAV-AV10** | ONNX/TFLite value-demand and compiled artifact witnesses | Queued (NOT RUN; not authorized) | topology-only vs runtime numerical dependency, independent oracle |
| **D-DRAV-AV11** | missing contributor outside focused relationship view | Queued (NOT RUN; not authorized) | admitted expansion or explicit refusal; never silently zero |
| **D-DRAV-AV12** | sparse mutation affecting inverse/transitive relationships | Queued (NOT RUN; not authorized) | incremental maintenance equals complete rebuilt oracle or fallback |

## D-DTM-1 — Distributed Thought-Delta Membrane / computational understanding exchange (2026-10-25)

**Status: S0 PROPOSAL / DOCUMENTATION ONLY.** Authoritative [capstone](../plans/d-dtm-1-distributed-thought-delta-reasoning-interchange-v1.md) and [handoff prompt](../prompts/d-dtm-1-reasoning-interchange-claude-code.md). Coordination: [EXO-50](https://linear.app/exo-red/issue/EXO-50/agent-message-bus-gpt-xgrok-ccsession-id), append-only comment inbox, not a project/task tracker. This maps existing source owners onto an *external transport interchange*, not a new graph/ABI/executor; all proposed P1–P8 implementation work requires independent approval.

# D-DRAV-1 — address-first DR separates map residency from value demand

**Date:** 2026-10-25 · **Status:** PROPOSED, documentation only / no runtime authorization · **Plan:** `.claude/plans/d-dr-address-first-value-demand-v1.md` · **PR:** [#1775](https://github.com/AdaWorldAPI/lance-graph/pull/1775) (draft)

- **Question:** should a sealed DR64/DR256 address/relationship map remain useful after optional gathered value facets have been released, and when does a typed operation actually need source values?
- **Thesis:** map/address, Boolean support, canonical/derived values and storage physical locators are distinct objects with different costs and leases. An 8 KiB DR64 u16 map is not a 2 MiB materialized SoA. MAP (complete relationship-only support), BORROW, GATHER, COMPILED and STORAGE are **hypothetical physical execution choices**, not new semantic authorities, shipped paths or a mandate to gather.
- **Authority:** D-RMAP-1A owns RelationshipMap/RelationOrder and BIND; D-DRF-1 owns focus lease, admitted materialization and dirty writeback; D-NFC/D-NFR keep ONNX/TFLite as downstream interoperability leaves; Quack retains native query semantics. No CE64 changes, foreign-gather firewall relaxation, storage backend/ABI, numeric equivalence claim or new executor.
- **Dirty changes:** unchanged relationship topology may reuse a pinned map; value-derived relationship support requires dependency invalidation/resealing, including remote/inverse/transitive effects. Alias-safe typed per-row coalescing hands detached owned work to existing CycleWriter; enqueue is **not** durable publication.
- **I/O:** sealed logical ordinal is not a physical NVMe LBA. Storage plans must count page/extent reads, batching, read amplification, hydration, reordering and restoration to DR-local semantics; no nanosecond claims for cold random I/O.
- **Evidence boundary:** #1774 shows page-locality cost after cache-line/offset controls and verified 4 KiB mapping; shuffled visits preserve the qualitative rise. Huge-page arm, counters, physical NVMe and decomposition of the older 1,024-vs-65,536-row gap are still absent. That probe says nothing about how frequently real thought/learning operations are value-free.
- **Pre-registered:** AV1–AV12 are **QUEUED / NOT RUN** in STATUS_BOARD; AV1 and AV2 are the cheapest independent-lab candidates. A1/A3 remain **NOT RUN** without an actual workload, so D-DRF-1's scoped cache-exception lapse rule is **not decided**.
- **Revisit when:** independent MAP-vs-BORROW/GATHER oracle parity, invalidation and rehydration tests, realistic thought demand, and physical I/O results can choose a strategy without changing logical results.

**Review questions:** independent map/value leases; value-derived relation invalidation; full-address witnesses on compaction and ACL changes; whether the five physical candidates fit existing BIND/Quack ownership.
