'The user interface could do with multiple options, possibly set at the beginning. Light mode/dark mode/classic/nature/flamingo/ocean/retro(gameboy/nintendo colors?) I think users setting their visual style at the beginning would be inviting.'

Major direction question — needs owner decision before any implementation

The current OffScript visual language is Tuner OLED — explicitly documented in CLAUDE.md as the single design direction (pure-black field, signal-yellow accent, instrument cluster vocabulary). Every surface and ~30 recent PRs were built against that one identity. Tokens (offscriptStudioBlack, offscriptSignalYellow, etc.) are referenced inline across the codebase — there is no theming layer.

Adding flamingo / ocean / gameboy themes is a product strategy change, not a polish item. It means:

1. Abstract every color reference into a theme protocol with runtime token lookup.
2. Build N theme palettes — each hitting AA contrast and retaining function-color semantics.
3. Ship a theme picker in Onboarding + Settings.
4. Update CLAUDE.md and re-audit every Tuner-conformance PR (Add Tuner UI conformance audit log (#109) #152, Complete full Tuner UI conformance audit #109).
5. Brand identity question: does OffScript stop being 'instrument cluster for podcasts' and become 'a generic player with a paint job'?

Owner decision needed

• (a) Keep Tuner OLED as the single identity. Decline this. (Strongest brand, simplest.)
• (b) Ship a small set of OLED variants — same shape, different signal accent (yellow / cyan / green). Limited theming, preserves brand.
• (c) Full multi-theme overhaul as the tester suggested. (XL, new milestone.)

Recommend (b) if there's any appetite. (c) is a different product.
