Site Config File

The Site Config file is made by running an algorithm through the AMP500 (Extract Site/Monitor Data). This algorithm is able to extract each individual monitor in the network for the time period subsetted. When examining the output Site Config file, you will notice that the start and end dates are similar to what is defined in the GUI's Site Config file generator window. This is done so that the gap analysis algorithm will know what time periods to look at the AMP501 data for. However, when there has been a change to the monitor's characteristics, such as the sample frequency, duration, or method, an extra 'monitor' will be put into the site config file. This 'new monitor' will have start and end dates that reflect the changes made to the instrument. This is done so that the algorithm performing the gap analysis knows when to use different averaging windows, as this may change seasonally.
