Summary

  • Add Gradle build and vanniktech Maven Publish plugin to release com.uber.ussi:ussi to Maven Central using org secrets (MAVEN_CENTRAL_USER_TOKEN_*, PGP_SIGNING_KEY_*), matching the NullAway release pattern.
  • Keep Bazel as the existing PR CI on ubuntu and macOS; add a Gradle test job on ubuntu for the same sources.
  • Add tag-triggered publish-release.yml (semver tags only, with tag vs VERSION_NAME check), plus RELEASING.md and README notes for dual build.

Test plan

  • ./gradlew test locally (JDK 21)
  • Bazel test on ubuntu-latest / test on macos-latest on this PR
  • gradle test on ubuntu-latest on this PR
  • After merge: move or recreate tag v0.1.0 on the merge commit (tag today points at pre-Gradle 1c634106) and confirm Publish release to Maven Central succeeds
  • Confirm artifact on Maven Central

Gradle publishes com.uber.ussi:ussi with org GitHub Actions secrets on release tags.
Bazel remains the primary PR workflow; Gradle tests run on ubuntu for the same sources.
