What: Serve one accurate Great Library pointer at supported native session and compaction boundaries, including inherited Codex and Claude forks.
Why: The pointer needs separate delivery ownership and evidence that distinguishes inherited context from a new emission.
So what: Merged as 01d7066bb72e195af8c51a6e38aea3aada805d2d; ContextMD 1.2.0 hooks are installed on all three machines, with activation and twelve live cells waiting for supporting running builds.

Closes #311. Implements the server half of contextmd#34 under the accepted handoff, including the scoped fork correction and empirically required Claude fork fix. Supersedes PR #322, which superseded PR #312.

ships contextmd#34; no Chromeria map part

Change

  • Validate the optional path with the mirrored 23-vector Python corpus, expand home before the UTF-8 bound, require a regular file, and version the exact shared/personal knowledge line.
  • Own whole-pointer claims by harness/session/epoch within the 8,000-byte serve budget. Preserve ordinary Cue/carry headroom, serving off/disabled behavior, the existing matcher and Library loader, and Claude's whole startup cap.
  • Give OpenCode pointer P its own delivery, candidate, bytes and claim. Pointer routes own applying/settle/release; generic D routes refuse P, retain nullable legacy behavior and merge both replay bodies.
  • Forward Grok rules to adopted session/new calls, bind immutable creation receipts before ref adoption, and charge/fence attachment before running/prompt dispatch, including rollback, cold load and expired stages.
  • Record fork evidence through the existing caller for Codex and Claude. Preserve inherited ancestor-prefix evidence when its receiving run rolls back, while filtering removed actual emissions, selected boundaries, current versions and surviving compactions.
  • Correlate Claude's persisted compact-source moments and source epochs with projected compactions in the same run. Its hook precedes SDK boundary ingestion. Only a causally matched settled receipt survives that timing exception; missing/failed re-serve, multiple compacts, earlier boundaries, clear events, stale versions and removed emissions retain controls. Legacy NULL-source moments remain conservative.
  • Provide one serving/SQLite owner through application layers; transports decode, call and map errors.

Current base and integration dispositions

Branch: feat/contextmd-34-great-library-pointer-native-main. Pinned live fork main/base: 555f0a00198b7aba75d8e8ce13af9c7d983712f4. Final candidate: 20975c00174e24d46c1822d1a4dee3ee7885eef7. Tested implementation candidate: d2f00a9764f682316f6db36b5a4f33ab60f0de6e. Ten owned commits are above this base, with no merge commits. The prior published branch remains at c382af92d82d8b905402da0ad1dc07aad5a5cbd7; no old branch was force-pushed and no main checkout/ref was changed.

The #291 absorption moved three accepted seams. Per the user's bounded authorization, only the existing instruction/receipt hooks were carried into packages/provider-core/src/server/ProviderAdapter.ts, packages/provider-acp/src/server/adapter.ts and packages/provider-acp/src/server/AcpSessionRuntime.ts. The effectful ACP constructor, service-provided MCP context, AgentScope behavior, thread titles and existing OOM test remain. Current Effect calls use randomUUIDv4() and injected HostProcess.HomeDirectory; home substitution still preserves Python path spelling. Fixtures use the current package APIs and service layers.

The subsequent #313 native receipt commit is integrated intact. Its checker, native fields, migrations, observer methods and scheduling remain separate from pointer settlement and accounting. Generic D settlement records native-receipt eligibility while candidate mutations remain scoped to D; applying P is excluded from generic closures and retains its own charge/claim. The actual Route/Serving/State/Cue test runs checkShown during a mixed OpenCode response: D stays settled with unknown/no_evidence_source, P stays applying without a shown fact, and budgets, claims, candidate state and epochs are unchanged. Explicit P release refunds only P; a subsequent P settle remains owned by the pointer routes.

Shown.ts, its tests, ContextmdServing.test.ts, Harnesses.test.ts, ClaudeAdapterV2 and its tests, the glossary, docs/map.md and scripts/fork-check.sh are byte-identical to pinned main. All 35 foreign ownership entries equal main, and the complete #313 ContextMD ownership inventory is retained. The existing fork owner watches the renamed paths without reassigning another feature's primary ownership. The recordNativeFork state algorithm is identical to predecessor c382af92d8. No shown extractor, matcher, capture or loader semantics were changed. Complete feature diff: 27 files, 3,468 insertions / 117 deletions.

At d2f00a9764: 14 files, 584 tests pass, 100.55 s. All three typechecks exit 0. Scoped lint exits 0 with five warnings in unchanged ACP test code. The unchanged fork gate passes on the full 87-commit fork stack from its actual absorbed upstream base 8d11fe1261, with 36 feature owners. No local repository-wide checks were run. All 34 saved source/evidence hashes match the tested commit.

Final 20975c0017 changes only the ContextMD ownership reference from superseded #322 to this PR #327. git diff --exit-code d2f00a9764 HEAD -- apps packages docs/map.md scripts/fork-check.sh exits 0, and all 34 saved hashes match the final head. Tests/type/lint above are reused for these identical inputs; they were not rerun for this reference-only commit. A fresh clean final-head fork check exits 0 on the full 88-commit stack from 8d11fe1261, with 36 owners. Its log is TEST-chromeria311-main555-20975c0-fork-stack.log.

npx -y pnpm@11.10.0 install previously exited 0 on the absorbed 0387459 base. Manifests and lockfile are unchanged by forward commit #313, so that dependency setup was retained; engine/bin warnings did not prevent the executed tests. No version or package metadata bump.

Logs, exact commands/results, source hashes, range-diff and the source diff are retained in /home/luke/scratch/contextmd-34-pointer/server-proof-d2f00a9764/. Current log names are TEST-chromeria311-main555-{focused,server-types,core-types,acp-types,lint}.log and TEST-chromeria311-main555-d2f00a9-fork-stack.log. The canonical #311 handoff holds current delivery state and native fixture references.

Proof includes actual owner transitions, mixed Cue/pointer API/SQL separation, ordinary equivalence, UTF-8/epoch/budget behavior, Grok call-order/attach/adoption fences, ACP creation/fallback/rollback receipts, and Codex/Claude inherited-versus-emitted rollback and compact-source negatives. Earlier discriminating Claude cases failed before the ordinary fork fix and four timing cases failed against guard-only 06ea98d; the corrected controls remain in this current run. Rebase API failures were observed and repaired at their owned call/fixture seams without changing expectations.

Native evidence and remaining gates

Current-pair integration actually executed exact server 20975c00174e24d46c1822d1a4dee3ee7885eef7 plus companion 51acaa8521d5a9b9fabe9671700ba3956f6a9500 on current dependencies. Parent independently inspected raw requests, native persistence, serving state, budgets and stopped processes. Canonical proof, digests, admission and limits.

  • Real CLI/server/auth/credential/hook/log and Library lane: 32 tests pass, no skips, including all 19 previously environment-skipped cases.
  • Claude 2.1.299/current SDK: six native requests each contain one pointer, including ordinary and compact forks and the immediate automatic mid-turn compaction continuation. Two 337-byte injections plus two zero-byte inherited claims total 674 bytes.
  • Codex 0.162.1: unchanged F1-F4/R2/removed-emission/automatic matrix, 21 local requests/12 sessions. Twelve injections, three inherited and three declined rows total 4,320 charged bytes; AUTO charges 720 across epochs 0 and 1. Deliberate two-copy and empty-before-key negatives remain.
  • OpenCode/root SDK 1.19.0: 14 native cases, three route controls and seven ordinary-only equivalence paths; 32 local requests, three automatic compactions. API/SQLite metadata, separate P/D ownership, charge/refund, cold recreation, replay, retained-tail and assistant-quote controls pass. Maximum run 887 bytes. Interrupted applying-before-save [0,0] remains an explicitly failed, charged delivery control.
  • Installed Grok 1.0.52 shipping session/new._meta.rules: a separate controlled normal automatic pre-sampling compaction retains the exact System head through the immediate continuation of the same outstanding prompt. Eleven full-head comparisons agree. One session, three local requests, zero external requests. This proves native retention mechanics, not actual-owner/full-orchestration or natural fleet acceptance; the earlier cold-load evidence remains separate.

Claude/Codex native fixtures seed native-derived projections and mock route auth; OpenCode uses real isolated test-environment auth. Native model responses and Cue scores are local controlled responders. All proof has zero external calls, with owned processes stopped and disposable credentials retired. No predecessor capture is relabelled. Full orchestration, natural pressure and the twelve live cells remain rollout acceptance, after the user's authorized reviewed-merge/build/hook sequence.

Independent exact-head reviews: Sol, status 56372643365, and Grok, status 56372912018, both success after their findings comments. Parent read both complete reports and verified the live head, authenticated creator, newest context and comment ordering. No blocking finding remains.

Current CI: CI Check and Fork Stack Model succeeded on exact 20975c0: 28 completed check runs, 24 success/four skipped, plus both successful independent statuses. Main subsequently added only #329's stale restart-cut recovery; parent read its complete eight-file diff, with no pointer-path/contract/dependency overlap. No head changed.

Delivery: merged after exact-head Sol/Grok success and green checks. Every one of the 27 pointer files in the squash commit matches reviewed 20975c0; main’s separate #329 files are preserved. Companion PR #74 merged as 09515a4d000d1cd69eca096eb7dfa436f52036a9, annotated v1.2.0 pushed. Released hooks are installed and check passes on rocky, cavallo and bestia; own per-machine runbook entries are pushed. The audit at 2026-10-14T22:43:02.536370+00:00 still identifies all running artifacts as pre-capability 03874596. The pointer key remains absent. Remaining: supporting running builds, safe activation and all twelve live cells (0/12 complete). Chromeria is never restarted by this task; #34 stays open. The canonical handoff owns the matrix, digests, cleanup exceptions and next action.

ContextMD hook installation is delivered separately through its authorized procedure. This server PR does not deploy or restart Chromeria. Source-session restore reconciliation (#310), ContextMD #71/#72/#73, capture/matcher/loader work and new recurring automation remain outside the slice. Website impact: none because this changes server serving and native lifecycle behavior only; setup documentation belongs to the companion capability.

Elon record

  • Requirements and who asked: The user and accepted contextmd#34 require the accurate optional pointer, owned delivery/budgets/logs, Grok installation fences and fork-only correction. Supported Claude traces require causal compact evidence. The user requires rebasing only our commits onto current main, bounded renamed seams, preserved feat(contextmd): prove native receipt for settled context serves #313 behavior, an unchanged fork gate and a replacement PR.
  • Deleted: Shared D/P receipts, run-only dedupe, timestamp jitter, blanket SessionStart exemptions, new fork callers/hooks/adapters, generic restore reconciliation, unrelated loader/matcher/shown work, another design round, merge/gate exceptions, force-pushing old branches, version bumps and a misleading map assignment.
  • Bottleneck: Supporting running builds before pointer activation, followed by twelve live cells; pre-merge proof and both exact-head reviews pass.
  • Checked myself: Current native package callers and MCP ownership, feat(contextmd): prove native receipt for settled context serves #313 shared diffs and byte preservation, 584 focused tests, three typechecks, lint, current source hashes, unchanged fork algorithm, foreign ownership equality, live refs, ten owned commits and the unchanged final-head 88-commit fork gate.

What: NO BLOCKING FINDINGS for Chromeria PR #327 at 20975c00174e24d46c1822d1a4dee3ee7885eef7, reviewed against 555f0a00198b7aba75d8e8ce13af9c7d983712f4.
Why: The complete authored diff, current provider consumers, focused proof and independently inspected current Claude captures support the accepted behavior; I found no new reachable failure meeting the task's blocking bar.
So what: The parent completes current Codex/OpenCode revalidation and the remaining exact-head review, then follows the authorized merge, supporting-build and twelve-live-cell sequence; this code verdict alone is not merge or live acceptance.

Reviewed independently by gpt-6.1-sol, reasoning effort max, through the Codex harness in T3 Code. This is the fresh implementation review after main absorption. No earlier server, design or companion verdict transfers to this head.

Identity and inspected scope. The sole writer's terminal handoff and its live #311 comment identify this same frozen head/base. The live PR matches both, and the writer checkout is clean. I reviewed all 27 cumulative changed files, all authored tests and ownership changes, the current #34 Spec and canonical handoff, #311, PR body/comments, repository AGENTS.md and CONTRIBUTING.md, and the selected verification/review/impact procedures. All three frozen v5/fork/R2 design hashes match the supplied identities. The range contains ten commits and no merge commit.

I traced the actual current consumers: the Grok flavor and runtime wrapper, effectful ACP factory, service-provided MCP context and AgentScope, creation/load/fallback/replacement lifecycles, session-manager cache/decorator, provider-thread notification mapping, rollback persistence, the native-fork caller and Claude/Codex adapters, production layer wiring, and main's native-receipt checker. The approved seams now reside in packages/provider-core/src/server/ProviderAdapter.ts, packages/provider-acp/src/server/adapter.ts and packages/provider-acp/src/server/AcpSessionRuntime.ts. Current dependencies inspected include Effect 4.0.4 and Claude Agent SDK 0.3.276. I changed no source, checkout, ref, configuration, installation or live state and created no review checkout or child.

Findings and substantive leads. No new corrective finding remains in the inspected scope. The following mechanisms were independently checked rather than inherited from the previous review:

  • Cleared: configuration, whole-pointer delivery and budgets. Select.ts rejects invalid types, controls, separators and lone surrogates, expands ~/ through the current HostProcess.HomeDirectory without normalizing spelling, and bounds the expanded UTF-8 path. Its 23-vector corpus equals the exact companion archive. Regular-index preparation, disabled/off paths, harness/session/epoch claims, whole-pointer headroom, Codex's compact/clear-only epoch signal and Claude's startup cap remain consistent with the accepted requirement. Pointer delivery bypasses ordinary run dedupe.
  • Cleared: relocated ACP creation and Grok fences. Rules reach the actual Grok runtime via the flavor's spread and are serialized only on session/new; real load/resume requests do not replace a native head. Creation receipts cover initial open, failed-load fallback and rollback replacement. The manager preserves receipts on its exposed runtime and does not forward new text on a cached open. New native ids are bound durably before the callers can adopt/persist them; usage notifications cannot persist an unmapped new root id before that bind. Attachment accounts for the immutable head once before running state and prompt dispatch. Current call-order/failure tests, expired-stage accounting and reopened-state controls retain these fences. Restart's unadopted creation sends no pointer rules. This source/focused result does not establish natural-pressure Grok compaction.
  • Cleared: OpenCode ownership alongside main feat(contextmd): prove native receipt for settled context serves #313. ServingState.ts:535 scopes generic candidate settlement to D, preserving the legacy NULL-delivery fallback. Pointer transitions at :629 keep P independent and exclude applying P from the reserved-only sweep and generic closures. The actual mixed Route/Serving/State/Cue test runs checkShown while P is applying: D remains settled with unknown/no_evidence_source, P has no shown fact, and budgets, claims, candidates and epochs do not change. Releasing P refunds only P; settling a later P does not enroll it in generic receipt accounting. Pointer-header replay still merges the independently owned bodies. Current native OpenCode save/replay/barrier proof remains a separate pending gate.
  • Cleared: fork ownership, R2 and Claude timing. The existing production fork caller records evidence after the native fork and before target prompting, using the selected source completion or captured fork-start boundary. ServingState.ts:1035 distinguishes retained inherited prefix evidence from actual removed emissions. Current-version, selected-boundary and surviving-compaction checks apply to both. Claude's same-run, count-matched compact-hook correlation handles hook-before-SDK-ingestion ordering without a timestamp tolerance. The current tests retain missing/unsettled/pointerless re-serve, multiple compact, clear, earlier-boundary, stale-version, removed-emission, receiver-rollback and legacy NULL-source negatives. The fork-state method equals its predecessor, but its current caller/dependency integration was reviewed anew. The new exact-pair Claude capture independently supports both ordinary and compact-fork behavior.
  • Cleared: integration scope and ownership. All nine protected peer files equal base 555f0a0, including the native-receipt implementation/tests, Claude adapter/tests, glossary, map and unchanged fork gate. All 35 foreign ownership entries equal that base; the inventory remains 36 owners. Existing ownership retains the relocated seams without reassigning another feature. No package/version or Chromeria map change was added. This server-owned capability reaches web, desktop, mobile and remote connections through the same service paths; there is no UI change. Cursor and Antigravity remain explicitly deferred.

Accepted limits and exclusions. The interrupted OpenCode applying-before-save restart case remains a conservative charged miss and an explicitly failed delivery cell, never a successful native pass. Ambiguous saves retain their charge; Claude/Codex retain the established print-then-settle contract. Grok accounting failures fence dispatch. Legacy rows do not gain invented compact provenance. These accepted limits do not request a recovery framework or another design panel.

ContextMD #71, #72, #73 and Chromeria #310 retain their separate dispositions. Capture #8, persona/preferences/memory, matcher #243/#52, shown extractor semantics, generic #221, loader #41, event reads #256 and pointer-trial retirement #43 were not widened into this review outcome. No new accepted or unresolved code issue was found beyond those already declared limits and exclusions.

Proof executed by this reviewer. Read-only Git/diff and dependency inspection, complete archive identity checks, design/report/source hash checks, ownership comparisons, raw JSON analysis and read-only SQLite queries. I ran no product tests, native sessions, model requests, browser or host service. All 34 retained source hashes match both tested d2f00a9764f682316f6db36b5a4f33ab60f0de6e and final 20975c0; their entire delta is the ownership PR URL #322 to #327. The current native/contract server and companion archives match their complete tracked Git contents. All 55 current evidence-manifest entries match their hashes.

I independently recursively recounted the six current Claude request bodies. Each contains exactly one exact pointer; assistant and system strings add none. The immediate continuation carries fresh SessionStart context inside its native tool result, and the compact fork retains that copy. Closed serving SQLite contains two settled 337-byte injections and two zero-byte inherited claims, 674 charged bytes total, no unsettled claims, and source epoch 0 to 1. Each run's budget equals its charged deliveries and remains within 8,000 bytes. The capture records one automatic compaction. All seven child resource records report absent; the outer sandbox exited 0 and its host PID is absent.

Reused proof with execution identities preserved.

  • Focused tests executed at d2f00a9764: 14 files / 584 tests pass in 100.55 s. All three scoped typechecks exit 0 with nonfatal suggestions; scoped lint exits 0 with five unchanged ACP test warnings. These are retained focused results for identical runtime/test inputs at 20975c0, not a relabelled execution or a complete scoped-delivery waiver. The fresh final-head unchanged fork gate against upstream base 8d11fe1261f0dfd74f58a1b1ae8ad7e400905fcb ends fork-check: OK., covering the 88-commit stack and 36 owners. Complete CI is separate.
  • Newly executed exact 20975c0 + ContextMD 51acaa8521d5a9b9fabe9671700ba3956f6a9500: unchanged real CLI/server/auth/credential/hook/log contract and Library lane, 32 tests pass in 21.273 s, no skips, exercising the 19 formerly environment-skipped cases. I inspected the unchanged test sources, launch/capture code, successful log, archive identities and isolation/resource record. Seeded attempt/projection rows remain explicit; this is not provider orchestration acceptance.
  • Newly executed same exact pair: installed Claude 2.1.299, SDK 0.3.276, actual Route/Serving/State and exact shell hook, three native sessions, two SDK forks, six local requests, one automatic mid-turn compact, zero forced compact and zero external calls. Main feat(contextmd): prove native receipt for settled context serves #313's production defaults CLAUDE_CODE_ELEGANT_MEADOW=1 and CLAUDE_CODE_TETHER_LIVE=0 are present in the disposable native launcher. The raw recount and SQLite observations above are this current run, not predecessor reuse. PROOF-SHA256.json digest: 5f16232c258e936834a95e0df62b2a8452086b37a1b452e440d3e5ffd93909e1.
  • Fresh live forge observation: exact 20975c0 has 28 completed check runs: 24 success / four skipped, including build, typecheck, lint, server tests and Fork Stack Model. PR feat(contextmd): serve budgeted Great Library pointers across native sessions #327 remains MERGEABLE; its independent review statuses are pending at this observation. A mergeable PR and green CI do not complete the remaining acceptance gates.

Unverified current coverage. Current-pair Codex and OpenCode native revalidation remain pending in the supplied evidence. Their predecessor matrices, including the deliberate Codex double-copy negative and OpenCode charged-miss negative, remain historical evidence with their original identities; they are not transferred to this absorption. The current Claude fixture uses native-derived seeded projections, mocked route authentication and canned local SSE/controlled pressure. Its actual CLI/SDK/history/request context does not cover full ProviderTurnStart/orchestration/adapter ingestion, production authentication or natural fleet pressure. The separate Grok normal-compaction probe remains inconclusive. Supporting running builds, installation/activation, all twelve live machine/harness cells and #34 closure remain parent-owned. The user's merge-then-supporting-build/deployment-then-live-proof order is preserved; this review introduces no new design gate.

Requirements and who asked: The user and accepted ContextMD #34 require the accurate optional first-input and immediate-compaction pointer, native fork ownership, byte accounting, bounded renamed seams and fresh exact-candidate implementation review after main absorption.
Deleted: Another design panel, source/ref/config/installation changes, extra model calls or children, duplicate product test runs with identical inputs, old-head approval transfer, unrelated follow-up implementation and any claim that this code verdict completes merge or live acceptance.
Bottleneck: Current Codex/OpenCode native revalidation and the remaining exact-head review before parent admission; supporting builds and twelve live cells follow the user's authorized delivery sequence.
Checked myself: The entire cumulative diff and current consumers/lifecycles, preserved #313 state/ownership, archive and source identities, focused logs, fresh exact-head CI, all six current raw Claude payloads, closed SQLite accounting, isolation and cleanup evidence.

Final verdict: NO BLOCKING FINDINGS for 20975c00174e24d46c1822d1a4dee3ee7885eef7 against 555f0a00198b7aba75d8e8ce13af9c7d983712f4.

What: Independent implementation review of Chromeria #327 at 20975c00174e24d46c1822d1a4dee3ee7885eef7 finds no lost, duplicated, or wrong Great Library pointer on this candidate.

Why: The main-absorbed provider owners still serve one optional accurate pointer at first user input and at the immediate post-compaction continuation, and the current Claude execution agrees.

So what: The parent owns the merge decision. Codex and OpenCode revalidation at this exact pair, natural Grok compaction, and the twelve live cells remain. Merge approval and live completion stay outside this review.

Verdict: NO BLOCKING FINDINGS

Contract log: Ran 32 tests in 21.273s then OK.

Installed-native Claude matrix on that archive, with production #313 defaults CLAUDE_CODE_ELEGANT_MEADOW=1 and CLAUDE_CODE_TETHER_LIVE=0. Six raw request bodies, phases first, ordinary-fork, three pressure, and compact-fork. Each serialized body contains the pointer sentence once. Closed serving state: four great_library candidates, two injected at 337 bytes and two inherited at 0, all settled, with candidate delivery null. Claims: three settled at epoch 0 and one settled at epoch 1, none unsettled. Two budget rows sum to 674 serve bytes and 0 deny bytes. Three sessions, epochs 0 through 1. Deliveries: two settled HTTP 200 responses of 337 bytes with shown=unknown and reason not_checked, plus nine HTTP 204 deliveries of 0 bytes. Moments: session_start startup 1, resume 3, compact 1; user_message ok 4; native_fork none 2; PreCompact and PostCompact recorded as unsupported events. Seven captured namespace children are absent. The sandbox exited 0 and its captured process is absent.

That capture runs the real Route, Serving, State, and shell hook. Projection rows are seeded, route auth is mocked, and model transport is a local canned SSE recorder. It is controlled native integration. Full orchestration ingestion, production auth, and a live paid session remain separate.

The worktree path corpus matches the companion file in this proof archive, SHA-256 fb9b8361b64e5fae5a9e2718ba663e0eb91e7950c87293e502cf837cd1ff4f50.

The parent's focused run at d2f00a9764 (14 files, 584 passed, 100.55s) covers this tree because the only later change is that PR URL line. This review did not rerun it.

Mechanisms that hold on this candidate

The pointer stays optional: one current owned copy per harness, session, and epoch, inside the 8000-byte serve budget. Home expansion does not normalize the path. A missing file fails closed.

Claude and Codex carry the pointer on the ordinary moment delivery, so print-then-settle still settles it. OpenCode uses a separate pointer delivery. Generic settle and releaseReservation leave that delivery alone. Pointer routes own applying, settle, and release. checkShown records shown and leaves the claim settled. The capture's not_checked rows match a fixture with no transcript evidence.

Claude compact pairing accepts a settled compact-source hook that finishes before the SDK compaction timestamp when the same-run hook and projection counts agree. This matrix is that agreeing case: one compact session_start, two inherited outcomes, and two injections. A count mismatch stays fail-open toward a possible duplicate, and this run does not demonstrate one.

An inherited outcome survives rollback of the receiving run. A recordNativeFork failure leaves the fork itself running.

Grok stages instructions, binds installation receipts before dispatch, and attaches before the running write. A successful attach is settled, so the exit-path release leaves it in place: release requires stage reserved and a non-pointer delivery. When serving state is unavailable, a Grok start does not dispatch an unaccounted prompt. Rollback records installation receipts before the provider-thread commit.

ContextmdServing.layer is merged from the runtime layer and the production layer as the same layer value, and the server CI jobs built that graph. The supported reading is one SQLite owner.

Retained limits

Codex and OpenCode current-pair execution at 20975c0 plus 51acaa8 is still pending. Predecessor native matrices, and any earlier Sol or Grok status on another SHA, stay historical.

The normal Grok compaction probe remains inconclusive. Its recorder correction is separate work.

The twelve live cells, production auth, supporting running builds, and fleet activation are still open. Companion PR 74 reviews stay on that companion SHA.

An OpenCode restart after applying and before save remains the accepted charged miss, and this pair did not re-execute it. Composer.keepBack reduces remaining budget for later fits and leaves a pointer that is already in the reply. A doubtful or unparseable compaction time fails open toward another serve.

No source, ref, or worktree change was made for this review.

What: Preserve the earlier #34 design decisions and superseded implementation states while keeping its active handoff readable.
Why: The interrupted task accumulated several reviewed candidates; their historical limits must remain available without obscuring the current exact pair.
So what: Continue from the current #34 handoff; the snapshots below provide history and never transfer an old approval or proof to a new head.

This is an unchanged historical excerpt from that task-owned record, archived before replacing it there with this link. Words such as current, sole blocker or pending describe the snapshot's time. Current accepted design and live delivery state remain at #34. No source or candidate changed.

Earlier decision trail, superseded current status

The following chronological record preserves prior designs and observations. Any earlier running-review, old-base, clean-worktree or no-source-edit statements describe that earlier point; the current state above is authoritative.

V5 blocking bar, explicit planner decision

The planner set this task-specific bar after the fifth design round: a finding blocks only if v5 as written would ship wrong behavior in a real session on a supported provider (a lost, duplicated or wrong pointer), or make the first slice impossible to prove. Everything else, including OpenCode byte-accounting polish, a rare edge case or a cleaner shape, becomes a follow-up Issue linked from #34 and does not block. Both fresh roast briefs must include this bar. If neither roast finds a blocking finding, build v5 without another design round for nonblocking follow-ups. Required exact-head PR reviews, green checks, authorized rollout and live proof remain.

The same Opus job completed ordinal 13 with no pending writer; it left v5 unchanged after applying this steering. Parent verified the complete v5 file, predecessor hashes and both clean source heads. Both actual fresh roast packets include the full blocking bar. No expanded proof programme, generic accounting rewrite, shared-instruction or memory work is required.

Current exact-v5 review

No other new Sol follow-up or blocker.
  • Grok: Grok grok-4.7, reasoningEffort=xhigh, task node:delegated-task:command%3Amcp%3A0573e945-4edd-4a1b-b557-1c9365f99c5b%3Adelegate-task%3Acontextmd34-design-roast-grok-20261014-v5-r1, completed with no pending child run. COMPLETE NO BLOCKING FINDINGS. Parent read the full 101-line ROAST-design-grok-v5.md and verified SHA-256 5086acc2f45e21e97f458cfe19a6160d6ddd6449b461bf80e9c6b9444995a350. Parent accepts the classification under the explicit bar; native first-slice falsifiers remain unrun. Sol is still required before building.
  • Grok's three nonblocking follow-ups filed, re-fetched and verified: #71, lost moment reply and held reservation, #72, older pointer beside a changed-config pointer, #73, old applying-409 removes a newer hold. Each links back to feat(server): link GitHub Issues to threads (#28) #34, names the design/source evidence and discriminating proof, and explicitly does not block this slice. No follow-up implementation or new design round is included. Parent checked the v5 caller/filter/state text, current plugin timeout/drop paths and reserved-only serving sweep, and searched open Issues for duplicates before filing. The first slice keeps stable configuration and its sequential first-message path.
  • Both new review tasks carry the complete original outcome, scope, authority and proof limits, exact frozen candidate and clean source heads, prior findings plus v5 responses, both full v4 reports and earlier frozen dispositions, the exact planner blocking bar, explicit effort, read-only writes, no native spending, no child delegation and no cross-reading the other v5 report. No inherited verdicts; v5 is not yet approved. The independent sources still stay fixed until both reviewers finish.
  • V5 proposes a separate pointer delivery/header/routes/claim/candidate, scoped candidate updates preserving legacy equivalence, and idempotent applying with accurate unknown-ack diagnostics. Existing native replay ownership, conservative persistent-save contract and durable Grok install-before-adoption remain. No broader accounting rewrite or new proof programme is added.

Sole remaining design blocker: Codex native fork B1

  • Trigger: stable config, one short completed Codex turn with the actual hook pointer, then Chromeria's ordinary same-provider native fork through that turn and a successful first prompt. No timeout, restart, concurrent message or config change is required.
  • Parent verified CommandPolicy chooses native_fork; ProviderTurnStartService calls session.forkThread; CodexAdapterV2 calls thread/fork and adopts the returned new id. Exact cached Codex c1382380 retains developer hook ResponseItems through source-prefix model-context scanning, forked initial history and prompt normalization; a root fork gets a new session id and its first user input still runs UserPromptSubmit. V5 therefore adds a second exact current pointer. This meets the planner's real supported-session duplication bar; it is not an accounting refinement or missing future proof.
  • The empty-session first slice is still provable. The blocker is shipping a duplicate on this regular supported caller. No native reproduction is claimed; the source chain establishes the specified algorithm's effect.
  • SAME Opus job completed ordinal 14 with no pending writer. New DESIGN-opus-v5-codex-fork.md, 217 lines, SHA-256 308cda879a3cf22c44bcf9ab7a607e29383fcf192178e88701bce4a89a53104c; parent read it in full, verified the candidate pair and both clean fixed heads. This is a proposed fork-only correction to frozen v5, not an accepted implementation. Preserve one current owned copy when actually present at the selected retained boundary; an empty session or boundary without it still receives the pointer, with target-session evidence. Do not infer survival merely from a parent's settled claim or suppress every fork. No generic framework, full redesign, native spending, source changes or OpenCode follow-up work is delegated.
  • Both full v5 reports, accepted source evidence, original outcome/authority/exclusions and the same explicit blocking bar supplied. The latest planner decision narrows the next design check to Sol reviewing only this fork correction and its affected callers. Grok already passed v5; no new Grok design review or full round is required. Start building as soon as Sol finds no blocker. The implementation PRs still require both review/independent-sol and review/independent-grok on their exact heads, under the original delivery brief.
  • Parent corrected its review plan at the task owner rather than expanding the loop: this is a bounded native-fork change, and unrelated v5 mechanisms stay closed. The fresh scoped Sol packet carries B1, the correction response, the existing passed baseline and planner decision; lesser findings remain linked follow-ups. No shared-instruction, preference or agent-memory write is needed.

Parent admits reuse only to c382 after the complete tracked-input equivalence and the sole ownership PR URL change; no capture was relabelled or repeat native matrix performed for bookkeeping. These become predecessor evidence for the new rewritten-main integration until affected source/dependency validation is complete.
  • Claude: all6 actual requests have one pointer,3native sessions/2SDKforks/1automatic same-turn compaction,2settled333-byte injections/2zero-byte inherited rows/666bytes total. • Server independent Sol first implementation review COMPLETE NO BLOCKING FINDINGS at c382 againstda7034: findings, review/independent-sol success56365826921. Parent read the complete report, including its independent native recount and explicit live-base conflict. This is old-candidate approval only; both required reviews must bind the fresh rebased head. No server Grok implementation approval exists yet.
  • Grok same evidence job resumed ordinal10 in a separate local-only normal-compaction stage at probe-grok-normal-local/. Parent explicitly set a NEW bound of2native sessions/8local recorder requests/2normal automatic compactions and0external model calls, without reopening the exhausted3/3/1 prior budget. No real auth copy/use, debug forcing, edited history/usage counters, source/ref/live state or children are allowed. The first gate is a supported isolated loopback model route plus fail-closed actual pre-prompt guards; absence stops before sampling. This is an agent-owned native-mechanics experiment, not a new design round or live cell. Both old reports were reread in full; natural automatic/mid-turn remains unproved until actual evidence is accepted.
  • Actual owner fixtures invoke serving against native-derived isolated projections and local canned inference; Codex/Claude route authentication is mocked, OpenCode uses isolated real test-environment auth. Full ProviderTurnStart/orchestration/event-ingestion and live production auth are not passed. Controlled normal engine compaction is bounded native evidence, not natural fleet pressure. Grok's old C1/forcedC2/coldC3 evidence does not prove natural-pressure/mid-turn compaction. All twelve live cells remain unproved. The user's merge-then-deploy-then-proof order remains in force; feat(server): link GitHub Issues to threads (#28) #34 closes only after full acceptance.

Scoped fork re-check and separate discovered problem

  • Fresh Sol-only task node:delegated-task:command%3Amcp%3A0573e945-4edd-4a1b-b557-1c9365f99c5b%3Adelegate-task%3Acontextmd34-design-sol-codex-fork-20261014-v5-r1, Codex gpt-6.1-sol, reasoningEffort=max, acknowledgement running. Exact pair: v5 22a28ffcde120dfa347d8f05009e91c998983cbc69727ceb0917c2838b13fcd1 plus addendum 308cda879a3cf22c44bcf9ab7a607e29383fcf192178e88701bce4a89a53104c. Writer stopped before dispatch. The packet carries original scope/authority, B1 and its response, prior cleared baseline and the planner's explicit Sol-only/fork-only scope and blocking bar. No full round or new Grok design check, native spending, source/ref/GitHub writes or children. Building starts immediately if this scoped verdict has no blocker.
  • The addendum's production change is one native-fork caller plus serving-owned record/decision. It uses the current source pointer claim, the selected boundary time, native compaction starts and rolled-back runs; target epoch0 is recorded inherited at 0 bytes only when the retained range carries the current copy. This is source-inferred evidence and must pass the proposed actual Codex recording-model fork/negative/compact checks; no such check has run.
  • Opus reported a separate checkpoint-restore pointer loss outside B1. Parent traced the normal paginated Codex same-id revert, reload as Resumed, SessionStart(resume), and v5's unchanged settled claim/compact-or-clear epoch rule. It is tracked at the owning repository as chromeria#310, with acceptance and native recording-model proof, independently re-fetched after filing. It is a source-supported prospective finding, not an installed/live reproduction. It is not added to the fork-only correction or scoped design re-check; no broader redesign is dispatched. The runtime/build equivalence, actual history mode and restored native input remain unproved. contextmd serving: reconcile Codex pointer claims after checkpoint restore #310 is not silently marked passed or classified as accounting polish.

Current scoped fork-filter R2 check

  • Scoped Sol R1 completed BLOCKING FINDINGS, exactly B1-R1; no pending child run. Parent read the complete 73-line ROAST-design-sol-v5-codex-fork.md, SHA-256 f4d739955487db237394cbedea657f73e0572651254aacab5604039a4ef7a8ea. The original simple fork is corrected; A/A1 -> native fork B/B1 -> rollback B1 -> complete B2 -> native fork C still duplicates because B's inherited row is attributed to its now-rolled-back receiving run, although A's native prefix remains.
  • Parent ACCEPTS B1-R1 after independently reading the actual local-turn rollback count, newest beforeTurnId selection and exact native capped-prefix retention. It is a fork-only evidence error, separate from contextmd serving: reconcile Codex pointer claims after checkpoint restore #310: B keeps its pointer, C wrongly believes it absent. No runtime reproduction is claimed.
  • Parent authored only the small scratch erratum DESIGN-v5-codex-fork-R2.md, 61 lines, SHA-256 958359aec6ae7ad9771e82882bb34b6d95117cf48390b5e16adee72c4855b1a0. The source query also selects candidate outcome; inherited evidence survives rollback of its local receiving run, while removed actual emitted deliveries remain excluded. Boundary, current version and surviving native compaction checks remain on both. No new caller, interface, table, hook, adapter or provider change; frozen v5 and Opus addendum unchanged. This is a proposed small correction to the Opus design, not an implementation.
  • Fresh scoped Sol R2 task node:delegated-task:command%3Amcp%3A0573e945-4edd-4a1b-b557-1c9365f99c5b%3Adelegate-task%3Acontextmd34-design-sol-codex-fork-20261014-v5-r2, Codex gpt-6.1-sol, reasoningEffort=max, acknowledgement running. Full prior scoped report, accepted evidence, precise response, unchanged baseline and planner's Sol-only/fork-only bar supplied. No full v5 round or Grok design review.
  • One discriminating native recording-model case is added to existing fork checks: nested fork/rollback/refork has one current copy; keep empty/boundary-without-pointer, actual removed emitted delivery and successful compaction negatives. All are still proposed, with no native/model/test execution. Implementation, PRs, merges and live cells remain pending. Building starts immediately when this scoped Sol verdict has no blocker.

  • Parent ACCEPTS the shared R1 after independently reading moment(), queue/drop/transform, whole-delivery settle/refund and the reachable user_message Cue path at the fixed source heads. Separate reply fields still share one receipt. Ordinary settle can mark the unsaved pointer injected; first pointer PATCH 4xx or missing transport can refund ordinary context that the unchanged transform sends; generic drop can release a pointer whose PATCH remains capable of committing. Separate pointer identity, bytes, claims and candidate updates are required at their state owner, preserving ordinary-only behavior. Reordering callbacks is insufficient.

Earlier options.dispatched-as-receipt advice was corrected in v3 and remains withdrawn below. No failed round became approval.

Current candidate and material decision trail

  • Serving owns great_library configuration, the accurate one-line text, epoch claims, UTF-8 accounting within 8,000 serve bytes per run, and measurable great_library rows. A missing key disables the capability; old builds reject unknown keys, so activation waits for a supporting running build plus a passing ContextMD check. No unknown-build probe write.
  • Claude/Codex: first UserPromptSubmit and a separate budgeted, claimed SessionStart(compact) reply before the next model decision. Codex bypasses legacy no-seam/zero startup cap; nonempty newEpochSources controls epoch bumps, with PostCompact log-only. Combined Claude startup output retains its existing 9,500-byte bound.
  • OpenCode: a synchronous compaction barrier awaited by the actual request transform; persist an owned text part, recognize replay/retained-tail copies, release only on a definite first-attempt non-write, and preserve the charge on ambiguous persistent effects. Independent pointer receipts are the pending v5 correction. The root 1.19.0 SDK lacks part.update. Its configured raw transport preserves origin/auth/directory/in-process fetch; protected _client access and the real pinned SDK test remain explicit review risks. Generic queue/drop behavior stays with contextmd serving: recognize readers called by path; release dropped OpenCode reservations #221/prism_submit description does not say workspace defaults to the planner's folder #68's owner.
  • Grok: only documented session/new._meta.rules, creation receipts covering fresh, failed-load replacement and rollback; budget reservation before open and confirmation before first prompt. True loads remain loads. Creation text is immutable for that native session; retained_stale/not_installed are failed cells, never successful current claims. Unconfirmed native heads after a server restart must not become a byte-budget waiver.
  • Earlier advice that options.dispatched meant accepted input was wrong: source defines cancellation registration, and request logging can still block before native send. V3 deletes the unnecessary prompt-prefix fallback and leaves generic cancellation intact. Native System context, not a queued notification or model quote, is the proof oracle.
  • Cursor and Antigravity are explicitly deferred based on zero recorded use across all three machines in the previous seven days; they are not marked passed. Reopen coverage when used. Required cells are Claude, Codex, Grok and OpenCode on rocky, cavallo and bestia.
  • Required live proof is a fresh no-tool first request, natural automatic compaction with the immediate continuation and no later prompt used to manufacture delivery, native one-copy context plus epoch/byte rows, and a later same-epoch nonrepeat. OpenCode also needs persistent-part/recreation negatives. Forced debug compaction is prototype evidence only.

Elon record:

  • Requirements and who asked: The user requires recovery from GitHub, worktrees and scratch, and the task requires preserving consequential design decisions and honest evidence identities.
  • Deleted: Repeated old-state prose from the active handoff; no historical decision or proof was discarded.
  • Bottleneck: Current OpenCode revalidation, then reviewed merges and supporting-build activation; historical text does not change those gates.
  • Checked myself: Exact previous canonical body and this verbatim excerpt, current candidate and proof records; verified both new archive comment and updated canonical body.

Recorded by gpt-6.1-sol, max effort, Codex harness.
