I am using a old version that I have patched up, the change log does not mention this issue being fixed
The UI i have been patching up was taking a very long time to add files after looking into it it was adding everything one by one making a connection for each one, so i rewrote it to use the bulk feature
I spent a few hours trying to figure it out and found if i run $mpd->Connect() after calling PLAddBulk it works correctly

any idea how to prevent the disconnect or why it happens?
