Send a text message from one phone to another using only sound. No internet, no WiFi, no Bluetooth, no pairing, no app store. Open the page on both phones and speak in chirps.
Try it: https://suncal.github.io/soundlink/
- Acoustic OFDM modem written in plain JavaScript on the Web Audio API
- Neural-codec payload from the Latent Radio research: degrades gracefully in a noisy room instead of failing outright
- Works between any two browsers that can play and record audio, across platforms
- Sister project: Sonic Broadcast sends one message to a whole room at once
Open the live link on two phones in the same room, type on one, tap Send.
