Summary

  • publish 0.1.0 placeholders for the six maintained Type Exercise course/starter crate names because their repository manifests intentionally inherit publish = false
  • advance the workspace package version to 0.2.0-alpha.1
  • add version = "0.2.0-alpha.1" beside the six maintained local path dependencies
  • refresh only workspace package identities in Cargo.lock

Registry state

The following 0.1.0 versions are live and unyanked on crates.io:

  • type-exercise-core
  • type-exercise-expr
  • type-exercise-supplied-tests
  • type-exercise-starter-core
  • type-exercise-starter-expr
  • type-exercise-starter-supplied-tests

Checkpoint and xtask names remain unpublished.

Why

The repository is now on the next prerelease line, and every maintained local course/starter dependency carries both its path and matching version requirement. This distinguishes current source from the registry placeholders while retaining local workspace resolution.

Verification

  • all six placeholder packages passed cargo publish --dry-run
  • cargo check --workspace --all-targets
  • git diff --check

This PR does not create a Git tag or GitHub release, merge itself, publish checkpoint/xtask names, or deploy the course.
