Summary

  • replace the Git-based PyIceberg dependency with sidequery-pyiceberg==0.12.0.post1 from PyPI
  • retain the pyiceberg import package and equality-delete behavior
  • make dlt-iceberg distributions acceptable to PyPI, which rejects direct VCS dependencies

Published package: https://pypi.org/project/sidequery-pyiceberg/0.12.0.post1/

Validation

  • full test suite: 174 passed, 16 skipped
  • Lakekeeper/MinIO regression: 100,000 existing composite-key rows merged with a 50,000-row batch; final 125,000 rows in one atomic snapshot
  • built wheel contains Requires-Dist: sidequery-pyiceberg[pyiceberg-core]==0.12.0.post1 and no direct URL dependencies
  • clean environment resolves the published distribution and exposes Table.upsert_by_equality_delete

Semantics

This changes dependency delivery only. Merge behavior and atomicity are unchanged.
