FloatNote is a floating notes app for macOS that stays on top of almost any page - full-screen WeChat, Lark, browsers, or just the desktop. Summon it with a shortcut, jot against what's on screen, and every note auto-saves as Markdown to your Obsidian vault.

Cmd+Shift+Non any page, the note pops up instantly. Jot, then dismiss. - Side-by-side on the same screen - the floating window sits over your current page so you can read and write side by side.
- Auto-save to Markdown + Obsidian - notes auto-save as Markdown files named by date and first line; point it at your Obsidian daily folder and review notes with your journal.
- Rich text formats - bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, headings, bullet/ordered lists, task, code block - auto-converted to Markdown on save.
- 10 languages - zh, en, es, fr, de, it, ja, ar (RTL), pt, ru.
- Pin to keep on top - click the pin to lock the note so it stays even when you click outside; click again to unpin and restore auto-hide.
- Download and open the DMG.
- Drag FloatNote to Applications.
- On first launch, macOS blocks the unsigned app - right-click FloatNote, choose Open, then confirm Open.
