Promotes contrib to main, including the reviewed Organization Science Stage 1 package (submissions/proposals/orgsci_ai_2026/, irreducibility-pipeline/, STAGE1_REVIEW.md, updated gdoc_1fhM_v6_story_plus_addendum.md, and Do-Platforms-Reduce-to-Pairs-IIT-PyPhi.pptx, PRs #858 and #864) along with recent contrib merges (#849, #850, #851, #856, #857, #863).

…ions (#849)

* berthon_ethics_paper: open the arm — source copies, all cards, indexes, scripts

Byte-identical copies of the eight versions of the Berthon ethics paper and their supporting
notes (sources/), all cards from berthon_ethics_course and algorithmacy_design_ethics, the
dxd_foundation and algorithmacy_scaffolding cards matched to DXD Part 2's citations, and DXD
Part 2's literature directory. Generated: CARD_INDEX.md (421 cards), DUPLICATES.md (26
clusters), NO_CARD.md (83 of 134 Part 2 keys with no card), references.bib (809 entries),
PROVENANCE.md (492 copies, all identical). Scripts are stdlib, deterministic, with --check.
The ledger and consolidation follow in later commits.

* berthon_ethics_paper: concept ledger, conflicts and consolidation

Hand-written from a reading of all eight versions and their notes: CONCEPT_LEDGER.md (113
concepts with provenance per version, the author's wording quoted with line numbers, cards
and audit flags), CONFLICTS.md (X01-X13, including every v3 change marked AUTHOR by ledger
row), and CONSOLIDATION.md (the ideas in one themed account; no thesis chosen, by the
author's ruling). HEADINGS.md maps all 187 headings to ledger rows; coverage_check.py
fails on any unmapped heading, uncited ledger row, missing card or uncited audit item, and
passes. NO_CARD matching now also uses title and year. Registers the arm in
submissions/README.md.

* protocol: scaffolder names probe_<slug>.py and creates results/ and literature/; portable run commands

new_question.py left the probe stub as probe_template.py while writing probe_<slug> into the
FINDINGS.md reproduce line and the probe docstring, so the CI entry a newcomer copied did not
resolve. It now renames the stub, creates results/ and literature/, and prints the real module.
RESEARCH_PROTOCOL.md, the template, and question_pipeline.js ran under the owner's laptop venv
path and named a branch that no longer exists; they now run `python -m …` from the repo root,
name the shared infrastructure with its package prefixes, and state the current house style.

* probes: run commands use the project venv, not the owner's laptop path

Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01H7Xkmpzs9ewHjVmrjPYwYV

* catalog and open-questions registry: place a question before scaffolding it

tools/build_catalog.py generates catalog.json, one row per question, probe, study, foundations
experiment, and open thread, with the one-line finding, the registered reproduce commands, and a
runtime class; --find prints the rows nearest to a newcomer's question. OPEN_QUESTIONS.md is the
registry of open threads with a status column and what each needs; MAP.md counts its open rows
and lists the generator. The update-directory job regenerates catalog.json and catalog-current
gates it. ci/precommit_audit.py reports, for a commit range, whether hypotheses.md landed before
FINDINGS.md and results/ in each question directory. The manifest registers probes #7 (the first
probe START_HERE runs), #57 and #116 (slow). q43 gains a literature/ note explaining the missing
Stage 2 artifact.

* docs: the forker's path — fast first probe, placement step, fork recipe, one style rule

START_HERE runs probe_control (two seconds) instead of the nine-minute conjunctive law, adds Phase
3.5 (place the question against the catalog: answered, adjacent, or open), routes the data-minded
to DATA_SOURCES.md and the handoff packets, and sends 'find something new' to OPEN_QUESTIONS.md.
GETTING_STARTED gains the placement step and the fork remote recipe. AGENTS confirms the instrument
with classifier.validate rather than the full manifest, lists the fourth generator, and adds the
fork note. AGENTS, CONTRIBUTING, PUBLISHING carry one style sentence pointing at CLAUDE.md's
current rules. OVERVIEW, org_frontier/README, and protocol/README drop the drifted counts and the
stale 'not yet run' and 'rest pending' lines. NOW.md is refreshed to 27 October. README's setup
block warns about Python 3.10 and validates; llms.txt lists START_HERE and OPEN_QUESTIONS.

* harness: exact probe-check matching, Windows-safe --find, add-only audit, fork recipe

- build_catalog: match a probe's checks on the exact module after `-m`
  instead of a substring, so #67 probe_voting no longer takes
  probe_voting_robustness's reproduce command; regenerate catalog.json.
- build_catalog: guard the SIGPIPE handler with hasattr (absent on Windows).
- precommit_audit: list only added files (--diff-filter=A), as the
  docstring says, and count `results/` directories at any depth.
- GETTING_STARTED §8: `gh repo fork --clone` already adds `upstream`;
  drop the redundant remote add and cd into the clone.

* submissions: open Exetasis AI and Sovereignty project

Scaffold for the Exetasis CFP (300-500-word abstract, due 2026-12-20):
README, CFP digest (journal page authoritative, PhilEvents secondary),
the pasted starting-point abstract with known defects, the concept
inventory for seven research streams, and an empty verification table
and bib. Adds index rows to submissions/README.md, CALENDAR.md and NOW.md.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* exetasis_sovereignty: deep research, hand verification, angle memo

Seven research streams (genealogies, subjectivation, infrastructure,
authority, rent/formal, collisions, venue) with the synthesized report;
35 sources checked by hand against Crossref, Open Library and source
texts in VERIFICATION.md; IDEAS.md sets out angles A-D for the
author's ruling.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* exetasis_sovereignty: verify five sources from supplied PDFs

Stark & Vanden Broeck: 'interested third party' is not their phrase
(Mismatch); triangular structure p. 14. Lazar quotes on p. 163.
Verhulst & G. Otero and Pisani read in full. Ingham & Lovett 2019
added: noncooperative model, does not pre-empt the bloc result.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* exetasis_sovereignty: literacy-to-sovereignty search; record angle ruling

Roger's ruling: argue the chapter's thesis with recent literature,
fitted to the call. Search log, source map and theme mapping in
research/LITERACY_SEARCH.md; ten new verification rows. Son (2022)
is the closest collision and is unread.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* exetasis_sovereignty: read nine supplied sources for the abstract

Son 2022 read in full: a partial collision (same literacy premise),
but with a dyadic 'technology literacy' remedy, so it serves as the foil.
Goody & Watt: literacy necessary, 'educated democracy' unrealized
(pp. 332-333). Burrell, Coeckelbergh, Oeldorf-Hirsch & Neubaum,
Gagrcin et al., Calzada, Mohlmann et al. verified; Lynn's review of
Bateman has no literacy-test content.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* exetasis_sovereignty: draft abstract (494 words) and bio

Thesis per Roger's ruling: literacy necessary, never sufficient;
algorithmacy necessary under triadic, opaque, co-optive coordination.
All quotations checked against VERIFICATION.md. Shapley left out.
Marked DRAFTED; bio facts marked CONFIRM; awaiting read-aloud.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* exetasis_sovereignty: record ruling not to cite Roger's own work

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* exetasis_sovereignty: abstract v2 from Roger's pasted rewrite and reviews

496 words, APA 7, no em-dashes. Kept accurate review suggestions;
corrected the Verhulst characterisation and the Goody & Watt gloss
attribution against the sources. New quotes verified: Goody & Watt
p. 332, Stark & Vanden Broeck p. 14 (ratings), Verhulst pp. 1, 4.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* exetasis_sovereignty: abstract v3, rebuilt against Muldoon & Raekstad (2023)

Sentence-by-sentence rebuild: model abstract+introduction transcribed
(48 entries), outline of 22, ledger with verdicts for 23 sentences;
four pronoun/claim defects rewritten. 494 words.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* exetasis_sovereignty: v4, Roger's rewrite plus a CFP-framing opening

Opening paragraph (marked DRAFTED) answers Theme 2, 'algorithmic
governance and democratic accountability'. Roger's text verbatim.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* exetasis_sovereignty: abstract v5, merged with Antonio Scala's plan; model run

Merge Roger's v4 abstract with Antonio Scala's 25 Oct revision: keep the
verified literacy argument and quotations, add the network mechanism, the
simulation and the coordinative-sovereignty definition. File Antonio's plan
verbatim, archive v4, add Pending verification rows for his sources, and
reimplement his threshold-contagion model to check the claim the abstract
reports (competence compensates for thin bridges only at bridge positions).

Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01KKWotXgMiqF92CbWh2BVBk

* exetasis_sovereignty: define coordinative sovereignty as the condition for sovereignty

Roger's ruling of 26 Oct: coordinative sovereignty is the condition for
sovereignty, voice within the coordinative environment, and no individual
sovereignty remains. Paragraph 4 rewritten; the note records the ruling and
its effect on Antonio's plan and the IGI chapter.

* exetasis_sovereignty: trim abstract v5 back inside the 500-word limit

Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5.1 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01KKWotXgMiqF92CbWh2BVBk

* exetasis_sovereignty: abstract v5 at 497 words

Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5.1 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01KKWotXgMiqF92CbWh2BVBk

* exetasis_sovereignty: v5.2, keep Antonio where he advances the thesis, drop what misreads it

Roger's ruling of 26 Oct. Kept: the intermediary shapes the relations
through which voice forms (Santos; Centola & Macy), the bridge-width result,
the two poles of the debate. Dropped: sovereignty as a population's capacity,
constituent power and the collective subject, a surviving individual
sovereignty, relational algorithmacy, the bridge-placement result. Two
tables in ABSTRACT.md record the sorting for Antonio. Body 493 words.

* berthon_ethics_paper: set up the Nadella workstream

The ethics the Spaces in the Stream paper bracketed, read through Nadella's X article "Models
as Insider Risks in the Super Intelligence Era" (10 Oct 2026). nadella/ holds the author's
instructions verbatim, a corpus index (P1-P21 paragraph map; full texts kept local because the
repo is public), the rulings made under the author's delegation, and a research plan pairing
each of the post's moves with a failure of growing literacy. collect.py copies the lab's
earlier work on the post and on the scribal and print transitions (49 files) and the 219
cards behind it; build_provenance.py now checks those copies too. CONFLICTS X01 records the
delegated ruling.

Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01EpbgtHxT6wTjFn1VJCmURK

* berthon_ethics_paper: make the stated card counts match the indexes

Totals now match CARD_INDEX.md (583 cards), DUPLICATES.md (32 clusters) and
COVERAGE.md (291 uncited). nadella/collect.py counted bib-key matches (219)
as cards; it now counts distinct cards (204). Facets G and V1 hold 62.

* classifier: portable run commands and a current status note

The README, validate.py, and classifier.py docstrings ran the instrument under the owner's laptop
venv path and pointed at files in the private dissertation repository a forker cannot see. They
now run `python -m …` from the repo root, name the oracle by its package path, and describe the
classifier as the instrument in use rather than a scaffold.

* orgsci: review the Stage 1 package and fold the irreducibility prototype into the lab

STAGE1_REVIEW.md audits the Google Doc against the CFP, the prototype and the lab:
CFP compliance, narrative, every repository reference and number re-derived from
the scripts, every citation checked against a database record, and the attribution
of each claim about the literature. Eleven items block submission; the first is
that irreducibility-pipeline (tag v0.1-stage1) had no git remote.

The prototype now lives at irreducibility-pipeline/ with its layout intact, so one
fork of the lab carries both artifacts. From the lab root
`python irreducibility-pipeline/reproduce.py` passes 17/17 and `pytest` 19/19; the
lab check irreducibility-pipeline-reproduce (slow) registers the pass line. The
README's programs list names it.

Found on the way and not changed: wageman-ti-verdict fails on this branch
(manifest expects rho(W,Phi)=0.883, script prints 0.867).

* docs: land the reviewed Org Sci Stage 1 text and the QR deck

Replace the prospectus with the v7 export (review items 0.1–0.11, F.1–F.19, F.23–F.24), add Do Platforms Reduce to Pairs, and set the workshop date to 27–28 February 2027 (tentative).

* fix: let pytest collect the irreducibility package from the lab root

Declare pytest options so irreducibility-pipeline is the rootdir, and put that directory on pythonpath. pytest -q irreducibility-pipeline/tests then imports the package.
