# Beyond the Dyadic Straitjacket — *Organization Science*, AI-Enabled Frontiers

Stage 1 package for the *Organization Science* special issue "AI-Enabled Frontiers in Organizational
Science" (editors Gartenberg, Hasan, Pierce, Bail, Dai, Hauser, Rahman, and Zhang). The call asks for
a short proposal, a technical supplement, and a research artifact. The portal deadline is **1 November
2026**. A development workshop follows at Duke on 19–20 February 2027, and final papers of 2,500–4,500
words are due in summer 2027.

The working title is *Beyond the Dyadic Straitjacket: Bringing Integrated Information Theory (IIT 4.0)
and PyPhi to Organizational Coordination via a Self-Exemplifying Research Harness.* Part I is the
prospectus, about 1,880 words. It argues that exact system integrated information (Φ) over the
minimum-information partition separates four coordination regimes that organizational prose conflates,
and that the lab's harness — the scholar, the AI agents, and PyPhi — is itself the triad under study.
Part II is the technical addendum: formal mechanics, worked tables, and the verification compendium.
The ten-slide deck carries the same argument in the minimal black-on-white style of the Port of Spain
talk, [`../../triadic_reduction/talk/trinidad-2026/Do-Triads-Reduce-to-Dyads-Trinidad.pptx`](../../triadic_reduction/talk/trinidad-2026/Do-Triads-Reduce-to-Dyads-Trinidad.pptx).

## Status

The package was filed in the lab on 27 October 2026, ahead of the portal deadline. Manuscript Central
has not received it. An earlier draft lives on the open branch `submission/cfp-arms-2026-10`, under
`submissions/orgsci_ai_frontiers_methods/`. That branch's v3 points at the same Google Doc and treats
the doc as the current text. This folder holds the later export: the v6 prospectus, the technical
addendum, and the deck.

The addendum's numbers are evidence about Boolean coordination models. No worker is measured. Φ is the
instrument the proposal uses to explore whether a coordination form is irreducible.
