Compiles the _phonopy and _recgrid C/nanobind extensions (scikit-build-core, OpenMP). Upstream publishes no riscv64 wheel.

Mirrors upstream's release.yml, with tests from phonopy-pytest-conda.yml.

Differs from upstream

  • Rust toolchain installed in-container - the phonors runtime dependency has no riscv64 wheel and builds from sdist.
  • Compiled scientific deps resolved binary-only from pypi.riseproject.dev - riscv64 wheels exist only there.
  • Tests run against phonors<0.5 - phonopy 4.4.0 requires an unbounded phonors>=0.3.0 but calls grid_index_from_address, which phonors 0.5.0 removed.

Testing

  • Upstream's pytest test, run against the installed wheel.
  • pypolymlp not installed - sdist-only on PyPI, upstream takes it from conda-forge; its tests skip.

phonopy 4.4.0 requires phonors>=0.3.0 with no upper bound but calls
phonors.grid_index_from_address, which phonors 0.5.0 replaced with
grid_indices_from_addresses. The test environment resolved phonors
0.6.0, so every test reaching the Rust grid backend failed with an
AttributeError. Install phonors<0.5 before the wheel.
