Fixes #61.

Opening the factory-gateway URL in a browser returned Hono's default 404, which looks like a failed deploy. A docs note alone wouldn't reach most people, because the first thing they do is click the URL in the Render Dashboard.

Changes

  • GET / returns a static plain-text 200 message. It says the gateway is running and has no web UI, that GitHub sends webhooks to POST /webhooks/github, and where the health checks and quickstart are. It includes no repositories, workflow slug, version, or other config.
  • /ready remains the Blueprint health check. / is meant for people, so its wording can change without affecting deploys.
  • The quickstart and the setup runbook's Blueprint phase say that the factory has no web UI and that the root message is expected.
  • A test covers the user-visible response and checks that it doesn't include the webhook secret or start a task.

Verification

  • npm run check passes.
  • I ran the gateway locally and requested / with curl: it returned 200, text/plain, and the message.

Made with Cursor

Opening the gateway URL in a browser returned a 404, which looked like a
failed deploy. GET / now returns a short plain-text message that the
gateway is running and has no web UI. The quickstart and setup runbook
say the same.
