Summary

cdn.redrob.ai/code/latest/version still says 0.0.12. Every 0.0.x install reads it before upgrading, believes it is current, and redrob upgrade does nothing (uninstall from that line is broken too). One user hit this through Cowork 0.5.0 today (redrob-labs/redrob-cowork#223).

New workflow cdn-version-marker.yml:

  • on release: published (non-prerelease) and workflow_dispatch (optional version input)
  • writes code/latest/version to ${{ vars.REDROB_CDN_BUCKET }} with the org CDN keys (same as redrob-shape / redrob-browser-agent)
  • never goes backwards; reads the object back from S3
  • the CDN copy has no cache-control, so it may lag up to CloudFront's default TTL after the first write

After merge: dispatch once with no input to write 0.6.3.

Tested

YAML parses; no actionlint on this host. First real run is the post-merge dispatch.

`https://cdn.redrob.ai/code/latest/version` still says 0.0.12, the last
build published to the bucket before releases moved to GitHub (#31).
Every 0.0.x install reads that marker before upgrading, so they all
believe they are current and `redrob upgrade` is a no-op; `uninstall`
from that line is broken too, so those users were stuck (one hit it
through Cowork 0.5.0 today, redrob-cowork#223).

Write the marker from the newest non-prerelease GitHub release on each
`release: published`, and on demand with workflow_dispatch. It never goes
backwards. The installer the old client then runs is Console's, which
downloads from GitHub, so the marker is the only piece the bucket still
has to carry.
