Fresh installations cloned into the documented skill directory could not find the generator or default palette because the instructions and script searched outside the repository. Resolve the bundled palette relative to the installed script, use the skill root in command recipes, and use only the current conversation's attachment path. Explicit palette overrides remain supported and missing overrides fail visibly.
Add pinned Python dependencies and an installation smoke test that runs a copied installation from an unrelated directory containing spaces. It verifies generated PDF pages, readable PNGs, CSV bead counts, default white beads, optional blank-white mode, and CLI override precedence. The public-repository CI uses one standard Ubuntu runner with read-only permissions, a five-minute timeout, and no uploaded artifacts or cloud services.
Validation: all 3 installation tests passed locally with Python 3.11.16; skill-creator validation and git diff whitespace checks passed. Existing author/version metadata is preserved under metadata for compatible frontmatter. No local Hermes files or user media were accessed.
