impossible to install from to composer #1120

Reproduction Steps
Hi,
When I try “composer cboden/ratchet,” it tells me that the symfony/http-foundation version is compatible up to version 6, but mine is version 8.1.

Looking at https://packagist.org/packages/cboden/ratchet Packagist hasn't caught up with the latest release yetErr no release yet since0.4.4but I know @clue is working on that. You can try using^0.4@devto use the latest version from0.4.x.clue commentedon Aug 6, 2026

For anyone finding this later: Symfony 8 support landed in #1119 back in June, so
0.4.xalready covers this. The error only shows up because the last tagged release is v0.4.4 from 2021, andcomposer require cboden/ratchet:^0.4@devgets you the current branch in the meantime.The fixes are on
0.4.xalready, so this is waiting on a release rather than on the code. That's part of the wider effort reviving Ratchet in #1054, which has been working through a long backlog of these.
