Claude Code reads AGENTS.md itself when there is no CLAUDE.md, so one instruction file is enough (quadbio/claude-plugins#13). Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com> Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01Cu5AYoH46bk3rW3qivyPZ5
It no longer tags releases: the project's lock pins the commit, and `pixi update` moves it. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com> Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01Cu5AYoH46bk3rW3qivyPZ5

Keep the CLAUDE.md import fallback
When a generated or updated project has a CLAUDE.local.md or an ancestor project-level CLAUDE.md, Claude Code does not load its AGENTS.md by default; direct loading is also unavailable before v2.1.277. Deleting this import therefore silently drops the repository's canonical instructions—including the required analysis-workflow skill—for those sessions. Preserve the shim unless the template can enforce compatible instruction-loading configuration and a minimum Claude Code version. See the Claude Code instruction-loading rules.

Agreed, confirmed in the docs: a CLAUDE.local.md or a parent folder's CLAUDE.md hides AGENTS.md. The import stays: #19 is closed in favour of #20, which only takes analysis-workflow from main, and quadbio/claude-plugins#14 makes the import the shared rule.

Superseded by #20, which keeps |
Two changes so new projects match analysis-workflow as it is now:
CLAUDE.md. It only importedAGENTS.md, which Claude Code reads by itself when there is noCLAUDE.md(docs). With one file, the template follows Write down the conventions plugins here share claude-plugins#13. research-agent-skills' project-setup skill would otherwise tell agents to merge aCLAUDE.mdintoAGENTS.mdand delete it. Linked projects lose the file on their nextcruft update.main. The tagv0.1.1was two releases old, and analysis-workflow no longer tags releases (Release 0.2.2: plugin.json holds the only version analysis-workflow#9). The line now matches its README: the project's lock pins the commit. The template uses onlymain_checkout, which is unchanged. The template CI creates a project and runs its tests and pre-commit, so it checks both changes.
