Bootdev - Logging and Observability

Linko is a simple URL shortener written in Go. This project is used to learn logging, metrics, and tracing (observability).

Getting Started

Ensure you have Go installed, then run:

cd linko-starter
go run .

The application listens on port 8899 by default.

Options

• --port: Port the server listens on (default: 8899)
• --data: Directory to store data (default: ./data)
• LINKO_LOG_FILE: Environment variable to specify a log file
