A fruit fly that lives on your Android screen, driven by a live spiking simulation of the real FlyWire connectome — a port of DenisSergeevitch/desktop-fly.
Escape, walking, grooming, steering and sleep come from population rates in a 668-neuron / ~19k-synapse leaky-integrate-and-fire circuit (not a scripted animation). Touch near the fly becomes looming input to LC4/LPLC2; a Giant Fiber spike triggers takeoff.

Requirements: Android SDK 35, JDK 17, Android device/emulator API 26+.
export JAVA_HOME=$(/usr/libexec/java_home -v 17)
export ANDROID_HOME=$HOME/Library/Android/sdk
./gradlew :app:assembleDebug
./gradlew :app:testDebugUnitTest
adb install -r app/build/outputs/apk/debug/app-debug.apk- Open DesktopFly
- Grant Display over other apps (and notifications on Android 13+)
- Tap Release fly
- Touch the fly to loom; use the notification for Scare / Pause / Brain / Stop

Cite Dorkenwald et al. Nature 2024 and Schlegel et al. Nature 2024 if you use the circuit data. Anatomy is measured; LIF dynamics, body geometry, and Android sensory mapping are modeled.
