Adds a runnable configuration guide for free, keyless Parallel Search MCP in NBI Default mode. Users merge an optional Streamable HTTP server entry into their existing mcp.json; the guide covers tool approval, a search-and-fetch prompt, and troubleshooting. Existing servers, model selections, and approval defaults stay unchanged. Claude mode is linked to its separate configuration.

I work at Parallel. For context, here are Artificial Analysis’s Search API benchmarks.

Tested: clean installation and NBI’s configuration loader and native MCP chat dispatch with a deterministic model fixture, real anonymous search and fetch, and both approval prompts. Required Python and frontend checks passed.
