Long Opus compactions can continue while Anthropic sends valid pings during a quiet thinking phase. Previously the adapter discarded those pings, so the proxy could terminate a live request after its five-minute inactivity deadline. Genuine silence, malformed events, and truncated responses still fail; the timeout and retry policy are unchanged. This prepares version 0.1.23 for the in-app updater.

Regression validation reproduces the old failure and verifies ten simulated minutes of ping-only thinking followed by exactly one compaction summary, plus silence cancellation and ping-only EOF. Local release checks cover the full Bun suite, typecheck, privacy scan, GUI checks/build, documentation build, and macOS core/UI tests.

Release security review: the existing external Ed25519 key matches the installed trust anchor; key custody and pinned Sparkle tool hashes were verified. This change does not alter credentials, destinations, signing policy, or updater trust. Release artifacts will use the existing authenticated feed and immutable URLs, with downloaded draft and public-byte verification before completion. The macOS package remains an ad-hoc signed, unnotarized preview.
