At my work repo there are several active upstream branches, and each local branch is best compared to its most recent merge commit ancestor.
Therefore I have this git alias
❯ git config alias.lastmerge
log --pretty=format:%H --merges -n 1
Changing uniqcommits_cmd and diffbranch_cmd to use $(git lastmerge) instead of $origin_HEAD makes git-recent work flawlessly on this repo.
Can it be made possible to change the default behavior? For example, to check in the githooks dir for an override script and fall back to .git/refs/remotes/origin/HEAD, or some other way to change the default behavior?
