Summary

Qualify CBM 0.12.1, OMP 18.12.6, and actual Tern 0.9.5 launches with minimal compatibility repairs.

  • Request JSON explicitly for project resolution and read coverage; preserve the structured-content boundary and fail-open output behavior.
  • Recognize the target CLI's inactive-daemon exit 1, seed scratch Claude configuration, and contain CLAUDE_CONFIG_DIR during harvest.
  • Pin the OMP SDK, regenerate source-client context, and record attributable 0.12.1 fixtures.
  • Report headless confirmation refusals in OMP's logs without waiting, downloading, or injecting model messages.
  • Document qualified launch/profile behavior, native installation ownership, and known upstream limits.

No Tern-specific adapter, tree-text decoder, indexing feature, account-wide configuration write, or system-executable replacement is added. Named profiles require their own plugin registration. Native MCP/skill/agent files do not trigger the competing-extension guard.

Test plan

Final revision: 145638ea427aa151a0be18b308b7a1b6f777af8c; Bun 1.3.14.

  • bun install --frozen-lockfile
  • bun run typecheck
  • bun run test:unit — 413 pass, 0 fail
  • bun run test:packaging — both bundles rebuilt; 10 pass, 0 fail
  • Real managed acquisition on Darwin arm64 and isolated Linux; target reports 0.12.1
  • Real bun run harvest without --stop-sessions; CI regeneration and byte-identical bundle checks
  • Real MCP initialization, all 17 tools, indexed-project search/coverage, absence/error behavior, and native-compatible ownership scenarios
  • Public OMP and actual Tern-launched sessions: status, MCP reload, skill/rule/three agents, augmentation on/off, original-output preservation, and shutdown
  • Actual Tern default, named-profile, and explicit agent-directory selection
  • Final headless public-OMP smoke: observable refusal log, no UI request or managed download, clean exit
  • Final PR CI
  • Final branch CI including install check

The complete interactive matrix ran on d8aac429f9846144f33ff90a6775bc7979f17621; the final commit's headless reporting change has its own loaded-runtime smoke. Graph/harvest used independent Linux account/process state; Darwin acquisition/version was exercised without starting a host daemon. Operator installations and configuration were not upgraded.

Known limits

  • Upstream's emitted skill still enumerates 15 tools while its server exposes 17. Preserve emitted bodies; drift checks missing references rather than tool-set equality.
  • Absolute grep/glob path scopes can omit graph appends; repository-relative scopes work, and absolute read coverage works. Existing path normalization is outside this repair.
  • The target CLI's daemon: not running report can also represent an unreachable/unverified probe. Qualification stays independently isolated; the ADR records this residual ambiguity.

The independent planning repository contains the completed 20-task checklist, two evidence-driven ADRs, review dispositions, and the scenario acceptance map. This PR remains draft; no merge or release is performed.

🤖 Generated with Codex

Request JSON for structured graph consumers and qualify the current OMP SDK. Adapt isolated harvest to current daemon status and Claude detection, regenerate context, and record target-release fixtures.
Preserve noninteractive confirmation refusal while making its reason\nobservable. Document the qualified CBM, OMP, and Tern runtime paths.
