I'm one of the maintainers of https://github.com/opensearch-project/terraform-provider-opensearch, and I want to create tags so the Terraform Provider is released with new contributions that were merged this week.

When I try pushing a tag, I get this error:

, which is likely caused by this rule in the repo: https://github.com/opensearch-project/terraform-provider-opensearch/rules/16267785.

Is it possible to grant me the permissions to create and push tags on that repository?

When does this request need to be completed?

It is not an urgent request per se, but if I cannot create tags, the merged contributions, and any new ones I will review and merge in the next couple of days, will be blocked from being released.

Hi @rafamlr we do not give away branch/tag creation access to maintainers anymore.
Since GHSA-27f5-xjrr-q9ff we have been tighten up the access control.

Please open a ticket like other component in .github repo for now, to request tag/branch creation, which requires maintainers to approve in comments. We are currently working on integrating OSCAR bot to github, so the request can be easier in the future. Thanks.
