Pricing copy: Enterprise is self-managed only, and Business Self-Managed is Enterprise's single-node entry (objectos#295 ruling A) #234

Closed

Description

@objectstack-fleet

Follow-up on the edition ruling made on objectstack-ai/objectos#295 (2026-10-12, maintainer, letter A). Priority: P1, copy. That ruling governs the edition names on both sites; this card brings www's pricing copy into line with it.

The ruling, verbatim

  1. 「A 自托管统称 Enterprise」: self-managed ObjectOS is called ObjectOS Enterprise. src/lib/positioning.ts E1 stays as written.
  2. 「只自托管」: Enterprise is self-managed only. Cloud tops out at Business.
  3. 「保留原名,归入 Ent」: the single-node SKU keeps the name Business Self-Managed and its price. The copy describes it as the single-node entry option of ObjectOS Enterprise.

What is wrong once the open stack lands

src/lib/pricing.ts as it will stand after the #216 copy correction:

  • The billing note says "Self-managed deployment starts on Business: Business Self-Managed is a single-node license …". Answer 3 says this SKU belongs to Enterprise, not to the Business (Cloud) plan. The same applies to the zh-Hans note (自管部署从商业版起).
  • The Business card lists "Self-Managed option: single node, 10–25 AI seats, $540 / AI seat / yr, bring your own model". Under answers 2 and 3 this item moves out of the Business (Cloud) card and onto Enterprise.
  • The Enterprise card says "Full private deployment, including air-gapped". Check this against answer 2: it must read as self-managed, not as a dedicated cloud we host.

Done looks like

  • Each changed string, both locales: pricing.ts en and zh-Hans are quoted before → after, with the ruling answer it follows. The other locales show their fallback, so state which copy they render.
  • Prices unchanged: $540 / AI seat / yr and 10–25 seats stay exactly as they are; only where the SKU sits moves.
  • Sweep: git grep across src/ and content/ for "Self-Managed", "self-managed", "private deployment", 自管 and 私有. Every hit that names an edition follows the ruling. Lower-case "self-managed" describing a deployment stays.
  • No contradiction with the docs: the result must not contradict docs.objectos.ai/docs/resources/license once objectos#295's own execution PR lands. If that PR has not landed yet, quote the docs page as it stands and name the lines that will change.
  • Checks: pricing at 1366×625, 1440×750, 1512×830, 1920×945, 390×844 and 360×800, en and zh-Hans, light and dark. Gates green.

Order

After the open site stack lands (#216 through #223). It also bears on the pending decisions #214 and #215. Do not pre-empt them: if a string this card touches is also theirs, leave it and say so.

    Claim: PM loop, repo:www.objectos.ai seat
    Session: session_01FeA1nwBz1ohH65dvffUGKr
Account: hotlong (the seat's linked user, as GET /user answers it; always the card's assignee)
Branch: claude/pm-dispatch-objectos-ju9td1, the session's one designated push branch for this repo's site cards. Staged: the dev commits on a local branch cut from main @ 2e16f1f, after the whole site stack has landed, and the seat pushes.
    Worktree: www-issue-234
    Domain: n/a (single-lane repo)
    Seat: repo:www.objectos.ai (objectstack-ai/objectstack#12224)
File surface: src/lib/pricing.ts (en and zh-Hans), plus any edition-naming hit the card's sweep finds in src/ or content/. Strings that pending decisions #214 (annual billing) and #215 (Talk to sales / OSS path) own are left alone.
Stop on breach and explain in the report.
Container & model: S, mode:subagent, model: CONTRACT_REVIEW_TIER, reason: pricing and edition copy is positioning content, which the maintainer's 2026-10-05 instruction dispatches at the ceiling tier.
    Clause-②: no
    Thread-read: none
Serial constraints cleared: yes. #216's pricing copy is on main (#238).
