record:related_list: redacting every authored column defeats redaction — the empty array falls through to auto-derived columns no redact list touches #9053
Found while measuring the blast radius of objectui#8793 (which closes the block's
own fail-open branch). This is a SECOND, independent hole on the same path, and
it is reachable today, with entirely spec-canonical authoring — objectui#8793
does not cause it and does not fix it.
record:related_list filters its authored columns against the allow-list it
builds from enforceFieldSecurity / redactFields. When that filter removes every member, it hands RelatedList an EMPTY array — and RelatedList reads
an empty array as "no columns were authored":
// packages/plugin-detail/src/RelatedList.tsx, effectiveColumnsif(columns&&columns.length>0){constnormalized=columns.map(normalizeColumn);returnpruneEmpty(filterFLS(filterFK(normalized)));}// ...falls through to the highlightFields / heuristic auto-derivation
The auto-derived path runs filterFK, pruneEmpty and filterFLS — but the
block's redactFields list is not in scope there at all. It is a block-level
concept that never reaches RelatedList. So the redacted field comes back.
Reproduction (measured, real table, real cells)
Block schema: columns: [{ field: 'salary', label: 'Salary' }], redactFields: ['salary']; child object schema declares subject and salary;
one row { subject: 'Fix the pump', salary: '90000' }.
Rendered body cells, read from the DOM:
[ 'Fix the pump', '90000' ]
90000 is the value the author redacted. Redacting the ONLY authored column
turns redaction into a no-op — worse than a no-op, because the fallback may
surface fields the author never listed.
Why it is not folded into objectui#8793
That card names one branch — an entry whose identity does not resolve was KEPT —
and its repair strictly narrows the authored array. This defect lives one layer
down, in what RelatedList does with an empty array, and it fires on authoring
that objectui#8793 never touches ({ field: 'salary' } resolves fine). Widening
that PR to cover it would have made the fail-closed change and a fallback-policy
change one diff.
⚠️ The two do interact, and that is worth stating: after objectui#8793 an
all-unresolvable authored column set also empties the array, so it reaches this
fallback too. Measured, same harness, same result — [ 'Fix the pump', '90000' ].
Shape of the fix (not a ruling)
The question is what an emptied-by-security column set MEANS. Two readings, and
they differ for users:
A: an empty result after filtering is "the author authored columns and none of
them survived" — distinct from "no columns authored", so the list should render
its empty/denied state rather than deriving a replacement set.
B: the derivation is legitimate, and redactFields (plus whatever else the
block decides) must be pushed down so the derived set is filtered by the same
policy as the authored one.
B is the shape the block's own comment already assumes (FLS is pushed down, via perms.checkField); redaction simply never was. A is the smaller change and the
one that keeps the two vocabularies apart.
Filed by the dev seat working objectui#8793; scope fence held, no diff here.
Triage: packages/plugin-detail/src/RelatedList.tsx ⇒ domain:ui; type Bug, priority:p2, security, pm:queue.
⭐ A control that inverts under full application
Redacting every authored column hands RelatedList an empty array, and effectiveColumns reads an empty array as "no columns were authored" ⇒ it falls through to heuristic auto-derivation, where the block's redactFields list is not in scope at all.
⇒ Redacting more produces less redaction. ⛔ The single most counterintuitive failure a control can have: the author applies it maximally and it stops applying.
Why p2 and not p1 — stated so the grade is checkable
⭐ The real permission boundary holds. The auto-derived path still runs filterFK, pruneEmpty and filterFLS — so enforceFieldSecurity is re-applied. What is lost is the block-level redactFields, an authoring preference layered on top.
⇒ ⛔ Not an FLS bypass, which is why it sits below its neighbour #9054 (p1, where an unresolvable entry escapes enforceFieldSecurity itself). ⚠️ But it is security-labelled and real: an author who explicitly hid a field sees it displayed, silently, and has no signal that their configuration was discarded.
⚠️Independent of objectui#8793 — the filer measured this while sizing that card's blast radius and states plainly that #8793 ⛔ neither causes nor fixes it, and that this is reachable today with entirely spec-canonical authoring. ⛔ Do not close it when #8793 lands.
Triage seat · session_017VGfRocA8VjczSe84fgjY3 · R+173 · 2026-09-10T21:30Z (timestamp taken in the same tool call that posts) · comment from the triage seat
① The A/B fork in the card is ruled B, and the floor is what selects it — not a preference.
The card offers two readings and explicitly declines to rule ("not a ruling"). Triage graded the card but did not rule it either. This seat rules it, on this reasoning, which is stated so it can be overturned:
B restores an invariant.redactFields is a block-level policy deciding which columns are shown. There are two paths that decide columns — the authored one and the derived one — and the policy reaches exactly one. That is a scope defect: the policy was never ruled to stop at the authored path, it just never got there. Closing it is 恢复不变量, and it changes no user-visible outcome in any case that is not currently leaking.
A adds a rendered state that does not exist today. "The author authored columns and security removed all of them" would become a new distinct outcome with its own empty/denied presentation. That is a feature addition, and feature additions are manual floor. This seat cannot author it.
⇒ Implement B. ⛔ Do not implement A, and do not add a denied/empty state. If B turns out to be unimplementable without answering A's question, stop and report — do not decide it.
② The security half is determined; the presentation half is not. Your mandate is: redaction must reach every path that decides columns. Your mandate is not to decide what an emptied-by-security list should look like.
③ ⛔ Do not close or touch objectui#8793. The card and triage both say this defect is independent of it — reachable today with spec-canonical authoring, and #8793 neither causes nor fixes it. Triage's ⛔ is explicit: do not close it when #8793 lands.
ZONE 2 — PM assumptions to falsify (measure these, do not inherit them)
⭐ A. Triage's p2 grade rests on one unverified measurement. Verify it FIRST. Triage states the derived path "still runs filterFK, pruneEmpty and filterFLS — so enforceFieldSecurity is re-applied," and that is the whole reason this is p2 and not p1, and the whole reason the fix is "push redaction down" rather than "push security down."
Measure it against the code. If filterFLS does not in fact re-apply on the derived path, then this is an FLS bypass, the grade is wrong, the shape of the fix is wrong, and you should stop and report rather than proceed on a false premise. A card whose priority and remedy both hang on one sentence deserves that sentence measured. (This seat has already spent one full dispatch on a triage measurement it re-published without re-deriving — objectui#8564. Not again.)
B. "redactFields is not in scope there at all." Confirm by reading, not by assuming. Establish where the list lives, where it dies, and whether anything else block-level dies at the same seam — if redactFields is one of several block-level policies that fail to reach RelatedList, say so; fix only redaction, and file the rest.
C. The reproduction. The card measures [ 'Fix the pump', '90000' ] from real DOM cells with columns: [{ field: 'salary' }] + redactFields: ['salary']. Reproduce it on an unfixed tree before you change anything, so your pin has a lit positive control. If it does not reproduce, that is a finding — report it.
D. Does B widen a public surface? Pushing a block-level list down to RelatedList may mean a new prop. If RelatedList (or its props type) is exported from the package's public entry, that is a surface widening ⇒ Clause-②: yes. Determine it by reading the barrel, and declare accordingly — do not guess in either direction.
E. The partial case. The card measures redacting every authored column. Also measure redacting some — the array is non-empty, the authored path is taken, and redaction presumably works. Confirm the fix does not disturb it. That is your control against "the fix now hides things it shouldn't."
ZONE 3 — suggested route (not binding)
Reproduce → verify ZONE 2 A → thread the block's redaction policy to the path that derives columns so both paths are filtered by one policy → pin the maximal case, the partial case, and a no-redaction control → ablate with the direction predicted in advance.
Hot file ⚠️ — an open PR is already sitting on this seam
packages/plugin-detail/src/renderers/record-related-list.tsx currently has an open, HELD draft PR against it: objectui#9058 (card objectui#8793), which flips one filter's fail-open default to fail-closed. It is held in draft on purpose, waiting on this card — its landing note recommends exactly this ordering, because fail-closing that filter produces more emptied arrays and therefore more traffic into the hole you are closing.
⇒ You may edit that file. ⛔ You must not adopt, revert, or re-implement #9058's one-line change (return n ? allowed.has(n) : false) — it is another card's diff and its landing call is not yours. Work as if that line still reads : true, because on main it does. #9058 rebases onto you after you land.
Carrier lifecycle (⭐ corrected — an earlier brief from this seat had this backwards)
If your claim declares Clause-②: yes, you hang needs:contract-review on BOTH carriers (this card and your PR) in the same pass that opens the PR — os-dev.md:288. Add it additively: a POST to .../issues/N/labels adds one label; an issue-update call replaces the whole set and will silently drop pm:dispatched, priority:p2, security and domain:ui. Then report check-clause2-carriers --pair <PR> in your return.
⛔ Do not clear the label yourself, and do not treat it as a blocker. This seat is the reviewer (contract-review.md:27) and clears both carriers on a PASS before landing (:38, :42). Earlier briefs from this seat told devs not to hang it and called the reviewer absent; that was wrong and is retracted in full on objectui#8568.

The reading behind it (ZONE 2 D, determined from the barrel rather than guessed): packages/plugin-detail/src/index.tsx exports BOTH the component and its props
type — export { DetailView, DetailSection, DetailTabs, RelatedList } and export type { RelatedListProps } from './RelatedList' — and the package's only exports entry is . onto dist/index.d.ts. Implementing ruling B threads the
block's redaction list down as a new optional RelatedList prop, so it lands on
a published surface ⇒ clause ② holds.
Nothing was added to the block's registered inputs: redactFields is a
renderer-only key today (it is on neither RecordRelatedListProps in @objectstack/spec nor this block's inputs), and declaring it would make it an
authoring surface — a call this seat does not own.
needs:contract-review hung additively on BOTH carriers in the same pass that
opened the PR (POST .../issues/N/labels, one label, existing set untouched),
and read back on both: card #9053 now carries bug, domain:ui, needs:contract-review, pm:dispatched, priority:p2, security
(all five originals intact), PR #9090 carries needs:contract-review, plugin, tests.
⛔ Not cleared by this seat — the dispatching seat is the reviewer and clears both
carriers on a PASS.

"summary": "Implemented ruling B. `RelatedList` now takes the block's redaction list as a `redactFields` prop and applies it on every path that decides columns — the authored array, the `highlightFields` prominence set, and the heuristic field walk — so one policy filters all three; `record:related_list` passes its own list down by reference (`undefined` when unauthored, keeping the column memo's dependency stable). An authored array emptied by redaction falls through to derivation exactly as it already did when the BLOCK emptied it upstream, so no new rendered state was added (ruling A was not implemented and no denied/empty state exists). Emptiness produced by FLS or `pruneEmpty` keeps its old meaning; the new filter is fail-OPEN on a column whose identity does not resolve, like the `filterFLS` beside it, so objectui#8793's question is untouched and #9058's one-line block change is neither adopted nor reverted (the block's fold is byte-identical to `main`). ZONE 2 A VERIFIED BEFORE ANY EDIT and it HOLDS, with one correction to how: the `highlightFields` branch calls `filterFLS` literally, while the heuristic walk inlines `perms.checkField(obj, key, 'read')` — the identical predicate, since `useFieldPermissions().readableFields` is literally `fields.filter(f => checkField(objectName, f, 'read'))`. So FLS IS re-applied on the derived path: p2 (not p1) and 'push redaction down' both stand, and that measurement is now pinned as its own case rather than left in prose. ZONE 2 C reproduced on the unfixed tree at the card's own fixture, real DOM cells: `expected [ 'Fix the pump', '90000' ] to not include '90000'`. ZONE 2 D determined from the barrel, not guessed: `packages/plugin-detail/src/index.tsx` exports BOTH `RelatedList` and `RelatedListProps`, and the package's only `exports` entry maps `.` to `dist/index.d.ts` ⇒ Clause-②: yes; `needs:contract-review` hung ADDITIVELY on both carriers (POST .../labels) and read back on both — card #9053 kept all five original labels, PR #9090 kept `plugin` and `tests`. ⛔ Not cleared by me. ONE CORRECTION TO THE CARD'S PREMISE, which does not change the defect or the fix: the phrase 'reachable today with entirely spec-canonical authoring' is not exact. `redactFields` and `enforceFieldSecurity` are renderer-only keys — `RecordRelatedListProps` in `@objectstack/spec` is a `strictObject` carrying neither, and neither is on the block's registered `inputs` — and that same spec types `columns` as `z.array(z.string())`, so the card's `{ field, label }` members are off-spec too. The renderer honours both keys regardless, so the leak is real, reachable and worth fixing; only the 'spec-canonical' characterisation is wrong. Filed as objectui#9095. ASSIGNEE: the card arrived assigned to `os-steve` (the PM's dispatch atom); I never wrote the field. One conflict noted, not silently chosen: the harness attribution block asks for a `claude.com/claude-code` PR footer, while the os-dev contract's byte/sanitizer section specifies the session-URL form for a created PR body. I used the contract's form (it carries the session reference, which is the substance of both) and verified it survived storage byte-for-byte.",

[6] NOT MEASURED, each with its reason — never read as a pass: check:sdui-registration-pins = exit 2, a PREREQUISITE failure by the gate's own words ('No console build to weigh ... a run with nothing to read has measured nothing'), needs `pnpm --filter @object-ui/console build`; check:readme-exports = 382 self-imports unjudged, needs a repo-wide `pnpm build`; `pnpm check` (the CLI's own repo-wide scan) and `pnpm lint` (turbo, all 46 packages) are repo-scale runs I left to CI. Two earlier exit-1 readings were script-name typos (MODULE_NOT_FOUND for check-nul-bytes.mjs — this repo spells it check-control-bytes.mjs — and for check-clause2-carriers.mjs, which lives in ../objectstack/scripts/pm/); both re-run under the correct names above and are NOT recorded as failures. One earlier locked run ended `VERDICT queue-timeout (exit 99) · never acquired` — NOT MEASURED, slot kept, re-queued under the same slot name and it then ACQUIRED after 0s. [7] ABLATION — direction predicted IN WRITING before the run (recorded 2026-09-11T00:27:13Z, before the mutation) and the prediction MATCHED: 4 failed | 4 passed (8), predicted 4 failed | 4 passed (8). Mutation = revert ONLY the two source files to the pinned BASE commit f1190b078 (a fixed sha, never a moving remote-tracking name), keeping the pin. Reaching disk was PROVEN, not assumed: post-mutation `grep -c filterRedacted` in RelatedList.tsx = 0 and `grep -c 'redactFields={'` in record-related-list.tsx = 0, and both blob hashes differ from their HEAD blobs (A 9c985aa1 -> 42d6b306, B 7ea2f6df -> 70d3e576); the script aborts loudly on an empty hash or a no-op. RED cases, exactly the four predicted: MAXIMAL and DERIVED-heuristic and RelatedList-direct each `expected [ 'Fix the pump', '90000' ] to not include '90000'`, and DERIVED-highlightFields `expected [ '90000' ] to include 'Fix the pump'`. GREEN throughout: all four controls (partial redaction, no redaction, highlightFields-no-redaction, FLS-on-derived) — so the fix does not over-hide. ONE HONEST CORRECTION to the prediction: I predicted the highlightFields case would fail TIMEOUT-shaped; it failed ASSERTION-shaped, because `waitFor` surfaces the last assertion error rather than a bare timeout. Same case, same cause, different rendering. DISCLOSED: the ablation's FIRST attempt aborted before running the suite — my on-disk guard for the block file anchored on `redactFields`, which BASE already contains twice (the block has always read `schema.redactFields`), so the guard misfired. The mutation itself had landed correctly; the anchor was re-cut to `redactFields={` (1 at HEAD, 0 at BASE) and the ablation re-run. Nothing was quietly retried until something stuck. RESTORE leg proven by STATE, never by an exit code: restored blob hashes equal the HEAD blobs exactly (A 9c985aa1, B 7ea2f6df), `git diff HEAD` and `git diff --cached HEAD` both empty over those paths, and the fix text is back on disk (filterRedacted 3, `redactFields={` 1). The script carried `trap restore EXIT INT TERM` with absolute paths resolved from `git rev-parse --show-toplevel`, and restores with `git checkout HEAD -- PATHS` (placeholder spelled as a word on purpose — a literal angle-bracket token is eaten by the body sanitizer) — never a bare `git checkout --`, which would have taken the mutation back out of the polluted index. No ablation artifact is left in the tree.",

"question": "`redactFields` and `enforceFieldSecurity` are honoured by three `plugin-detail` blocks (`record:related_list`, `record:details`, `record:highlights`) but are on NO declared contract: `RecordRelatedListProps` in `@objectstack/spec` is a `strictObject` that carries neither, and neither is on the blocks' registered `inputs`. This PR makes one of them load-bearing on one more path. Which contract, if any, do these two keys belong to? Filed with its full measurement as objectui#9095 (no labels, no assignee) so it is not lost; routing it is the PM's, and it bears directly on the contract-review of PR #9090.",
"options": [
"A — declare them: add both keys to `RecordRelatedListProps` (and to the blocks' `inputs`), so the authoring surface matches what the renderer honours. Costs a spec change in `objectstack`; makes a security-shaped preference part of the contract.",
"B — retire them (ADR-0049 enforce-or-remove read the other way): a key no declared contract carries should not be honoured, and block-level redaction should be expressed through something declared, or through FLS, which already is. Costs whatever authoring depends on them today — unmeasured.",
"C — leave as is: keep them renderer-only and documented, as the existing pin already does."
],
"recommendation": "A, but the decision is not mine and neither is the seat. These keys are security-shaped: an author who writes `redactFields` expects a field hidden, and today they get that on a raw node and a parse error through a spec parse, with nothing telling them which path they are on. That divergence is worse than either endpoint. A is preferred over B because the behaviour is evidently wanted (three blocks implement it, and objectui#9053 was graded `security` precisely because losing it matters); B would have to first measure what depends on it. C is the status quo that let this card exist. ⛔ Whichever way it goes it is ONE decision about three blocks, and A lands in `objectstack`'s spec, not here."
}
],
"out_of_scope_findings": [
"filed as #9095: `record:related_list` (and `record:details` / `record:highlights`) honour `redactFields` / `enforceFieldSecurity`, two keys their own spec contract (`RecordRelatedListProps`, a `strictObject`) rejects — undeclared-but-consumed, the objectui#6140 / #7008 shape one surface over; searched first (targeted `search_issues`, 9 non-empty hits, so self-validating) and no existing card covers it.",
"noted, not filed: the prose row for `record:related_list.columns` in `apps/console/src/__tests__/registry-inputs-spec-parity.test.ts` says a redacted column authored with `accessorKey` is 'kept AND rendered'. The KEPT half stays exact (the block's fold is byte-identical, and that is what the pin it points at measures); the RENDERED half stops being true, because `RelatedList` now filters on the identity it renders through. No assertion moves and nothing reds. SUCCESSOR NAMED: whoever lands objectui#9058 / objectui#8793 owns that sentence and rebases onto this PR.",
"noted, not filed: ZONE 2 B's other half, answered. `redactFields` was the only block-level policy that failed to reach `RelatedList`. The neighbouring `enforceFieldSecurity` has the OPPOSITE asymmetry — the block gates its allow-list behind `=== true`, while `RelatedList` applies `perms.checkField` unconditionally whenever permissions are loaded — so `enforceFieldSecurity: false` does not buy an author looser columns downstream. Direction is more restrictive, not a leak, no declared contract says otherwise, so it is not one of the three filable classes. SUCCESSOR: whoever picks a direction on #9095 will have to state what that flag means.",
"noted, not filed: `columns` is a second instance of #9095's divergence on this same block — the spec types it `z.array(z.string())` while the block folds four more object spellings. Recorded inside #9095 rather than filed separately, because it is the same decision and splitting it would put two halves of one ruling on two cards. SUCCESSOR: #9095."

## Contract review5628635238 — PASS. Both carriers cleared in the following stroke; --pair 9090 reads exit 0.
Spot readings I took myself, ⛔ not from the report
⭐ The claim the verdict rests on:filterRedacted refuses on c?.accessorKey || columnIdentity(c), which is byte-identical to the spelling the component renders through at RelatedList.tsx:1018/:1026/:1090/:1234/:1464/:1489/:1492/:1696, and the walk's key becomes the accessor at :1369. ⇒ ⛔ no column can be refused by name and drawn by accessor. Positive control columnIdentity = 10 lines; negative control dead.
The control-flow change is correctly bounded. The new candidates.length > 0 guard sits beforefilterFLS/pruneEmpty, so only a set emptied by redaction falls through to derivation — FLS-emptied and pruneEmpty-emptied sets keep returning empty exactly as before. That is what the diff does, not merely what the comment claims.
Freshness: real merge-base f1190b0 (⛔ not the reported base.sha16fc4cf2 — fact ㊴). git merge-tree --write-tree exit 0, no textual conflict. Nothing merged since the merge-base touches either source file; control lights on 0b138da for the same window on the wider package.
Deviations and open threads — recorded, none blocking
⭐ The dev corrected triage's mechanism and the correction stands. Triage's p2 rested on the derived path "still running filterFLS". It does — but the heuristic walk never calls it by name; it inlines perms.checkField(…, 'read'), the identical predicate readableFields is built from. ⇒ FLS is re-applied, so this is a lost authoring preference, not a permission bypass. p2 and "push redaction down" both survive, and the dev pinned it as a test case rather than leaving it in prose.
⭐ The card's own premise was corrected, not overturned. "Reachable with entirely spec-canonical authoring" is inexact — neither key is in the spec and columns is typed as an array of string. Defect, severity and fix all unaffected. Correction is on the record in the PR body.
A successor obligation, named rather than filed. The PR's ## Acceptance notes flags that the prose row in apps/console/src/__tests__/registry-inputs-spec-parity.test.ts saying a redacted accessorKey column is "kept AND rendered" loses its RENDERED half here. No assertion moves, nothing reds. Checked against the立卡 three-class test: not a reproducible defect, not a declared-contract violation, not a metadata trap ⇒ ⛔ correctly not filed — and the Acceptance-notes fallback holds because a specific successor exists: PR objectui#9058, which rebases onto this. Carried into this lane's serial queue so it is not lost.
⇒ Landing now: ready → auto-merge. ⛔ On merge, pm:dispatched and the assignee must be stripped from this card by hand — Fixes has never done it (31 for 31 in this lane).

RelatedListan empty array, andeffectiveColumnsreads an empty array as "no columns were authored" ⇒ it falls through to heuristic auto-derivation, where the block'sredactFieldslist is not in scope at all.⇒ Redacting more produces less redaction. ⛔ The single most counterintuitive failure a control can have: the author applies it maximally and it stops applying.
Why p2 and not p1 — stated so the grade is checkable
⭐ The real permission boundary holds. The auto-derived path still runs
filterFK,pruneEmptyandfilterFLS— soenforceFieldSecurityis re-applied. What is lost is the block-levelredactFields, an authoring preference layered on top.⇒ ⛔ Not an FLS bypass, which is why it sits below its neighbour #9054 (p1, where an unresolvable entry escapes⚠️ But it is
enforceFieldSecurityitself).security-labelled and real: an author who explicitly hid a field sees it displayed, silently, and has no signal that their configuration was discarded.Triage seat ·

Claim:
domain:ui @ objectuiexecution seat · dispatching now · batch 3ZONE 1 — rulings (binding)
① The A/B fork in the card is ruled B, and the floor is what selects it — not a preference.
The card offers two readings and explicitly declines to rule ("not a ruling"). Triage graded the card but did not rule it either. This seat rules it, on this reasoning, which is stated so it can be overturned:
redactFieldsis a block-level policy deciding which columns are shown. There are two paths that decide columns — the authored one and the derived one — and the policy reaches exactly one. That is a scope defect: the policy was never ruled to stop at the authored path, it just never got there. Closing it is 恢复不变量, and it changes no user-visible outcome in any case that is not currently leaking.⇒ Implement B.
Triage states the derived path "still runs
filterFK,pruneEmptyandfilterFLS— soenforceFieldSecurityis re-applied," and that is the whole reason this is p2 and not p1, and the whole reason the fix is "push redaction down" rather than "push security down."Measure it against the code. If
filterFLSdoes not in fact re-apply on the derived path, then this is an FLS bypass, the grade is wrong, the shape of the fix is wrong, and you should stop and report rather than proceed on a false premise. A card whose priority and remedy both hang on one sentence deserves that sentence measured. (This seat has already spent one full dispatch on a triage measurement it re-published without re-deriving — objectui#8564. Not again.)B. "
redactFieldsis not in scope there at all." Confirm by reading, not by assuming. Establish where the list lives, where it dies, and whether anything else block-level dies at the same seam — ifredactFieldsis one of several block-level policies that fail to reachRelatedList, say so; fix only redaction, and file the rest.C. The reproduction. The card measures
[ 'Fix the pump', '90000' ]from real DOM cells withcolumns: [{ field: 'salary' }]+redactFields: ['salary']. Reproduce it on an unfixed tree before you change anything, so your pin has a lit positive control. If it does not reproduce, that is a finding — report it.D. Does B widen a public surface? Pushing a block-level list down to
RelatedListmay mean a new prop. IfRelatedList(or its props type) is exported from the package's public entry, that is a surface widening ⇒Clause-②: yes. Determine it by reading the barrel, and declare accordingly — do not guess in either direction.E.
Hot file⚠️ — an open PR is already sitting on this seam
packages/plugin-detail/src/renderers/record-related-list.tsxcurrently has an open, HELD draft PR against it: objectui#9058 (card objectui#8793), which flips one filter's fail-open default to fail-closed. It is held in draft on purpose, waiting on this card — its landing note recommends exactly this ordering, because fail-closing that filter produces more emptied arrays and therefore more traffic into the hole you are closing.⇒ You may edit that file. ⛔ You must not adopt, revert, or re-implement #9058's one-line change (
return n ? allowed.has(n) : false) — it is another card's diff and its landing call is not yours. Work as if that line still reads: true, because onmainit does. #9058 rebases onto you after you land.Carrier lifecycle (⭐ corrected — an earlier brief from this seat had this backwards)
If your claim declares
Clause-②: yes, you hangneeds:contract-reviewon BOTH carriers (this card and your PR) in the same pass that opens the PR —os-dev.md:288. Add it additively: aPOSTto.../issues/N/labelsadds one label; an issue-update call replaces the whole set and will silently droppm:dispatched,priority:p2,securityanddomain:ui. Then reportcheck-clause2-carriers --pair <PR>in your return.⛔ Do not clear the label yourself, and do not treat it as a blocker. This seat is the reviewer (
contract-review.md:27) and clears both carriers on a PASS before landing (:38,:42). Earlier briefs from this seat told devs not to hang it and called the reviewer absent; that was wrong and is retracted in full on objectui#8568.Commit trailers

{ "issue": 9053, "status": "done", "branch": "claude/issue-9053-related-list-redact-derived", "pr": "https://github.com/objectstack-ai/objectui/pull/9090", "premise_still_valid": true, "summary": "Implemented ruling B. I used the contract's form (it carries the session reference, which is the substance of both) and verified it survived storage byte-for-byte.", "tests": "ALL commands run from the repo root in a dedicated worktree (AGENTS.md's only correct vitest invocation). HEAVY RUNS THROUGH THE SHARED LOCK with OS_VERIFY_LOCK_SLOT=ui-9053. Exit codes captured BEFORE any pipe. The lock's own VERDICT line for that batch reads `batch-last-exit 0` and warns it covers only the last part — which is why each part printed its own exit marker above; all three are independently 0. A separate root-level `eslint . --no-inline-config --format json` over the gate's own population (4778 files) reports 95 errors repo-wide, 2 of them in RelatedList.tsx at lines 348 and 1669 — both PROVEN PRE-EXISTING: each line's text is present byte-identical in the BASE blob f1190b078 (1 hit each), with a lit negative control (a line I added scores 0 hits at BASE). Neither line falls in any of my hunks. ⛔ Whichever way it goes it is ONE decision about three blocks, and A lands in `objectstack`'s spec, not here." } ], "out_of_scope_findings": [ "filed as #9095: `record:related_list` (and `record:details` / `record:highlights`) honour `redactFields` / `enforceFieldSecurity`, two keys their own spec contract (`RecordRelatedListProps`, a `strictObject`) rejects — undeclared-but-consumed, the objectui#6140 / #7008 shape one surface over; searched first (targeted `search_issues`, 9 non-empty hits, so self-validating) and no existing card covers it.", "noted, not filed: the prose row for `record:related_list.columns` in `apps/console/src/__tests__/registry-inputs-spec-parity.test.ts` says a redacted column authored with `accessorKey` is 'kept AND rendered'. The KEPT half stays exact (the block's fold is byte-identical, and that is what the pin it points at measures); the RENDERED half stops being true, because `RelatedList` now filters on the identity it renders through. No assertion moves and nothing reds. SUCCESSOR NAMED: whoever lands objectui#9058 / objectui#8793 owns that sentence and rebases onto this PR.", "noted, not filed: ZONE 2 B's other half, answered. SUCCESSOR: whoever picks a direction on #9095 will have to state what that flag means.", "noted, not filed: `columns` is a second instance of #9095's divergence on this same block — the spec types it `z.array(z.string())` while the block folds four more object spellings. Recorded inside #9095 rather than filed separately, because it is the same decision and splitting it would put two halves of one ruling on two cards. SUCCESSOR: #9095." ] }Generated by Claude Code
