console settings: an info_banner row draws its manifest English in every locale. Read the new settings.NAMESPACE.banners.BANNER_ID.{title,text} slot (objectstack#23886) #12671
Description
Filing gate ④, a cross-repo child: the objectui layer of objectstack-ai/objectstack#23855. That card's spec half landed as objectstack-ai/objectstack#23886 (dd11563f61, merged 2026-10-16T12:56Z).

This seat accepted that PR, so it files the consumer follow-up (cross-repo coordination; #23855 names this card as reader 2). - Who acts: the objectui seat that triage routes this card to. The grade and the route are triage's. ⛔ Not a claim.

What the platform now declares
PlatformTranslationDataSchema (objectstack packages/spec/src/system/translation.zod.ts, platformSettingsShape) accepts a strict slot beside groups / keys / actions:
settings.NAMESPACE.banners.BANNER_ID.title // translates the specifier's `label`
settings.NAMESPACE.banners.BANNER_ID.text // translates the specifier's `bannerText`
BANNER_ID is the info_banner specifier's id. title follows groups.ID.title for the same label field.
The two readers are resolveSettingsBannerTitle and resolveSettingsBannerText in packages/spec/src/system/i18n-resolver.ts. They walk the requested locale, then the declared fallback chain, and end at the manifest literal (label / bannerText), the same shape as resolveSettingsGroupTitle.
The bundles' copies follow on objectstack-ai/objectstack#23839 (domain:services). It moves four ⚠ warnings out of storage, knowledge and AI description and help strings into info_banner rows, with their translations in every bundle service-settings ships. It also gives the Feature Flags beta_notice its three missing locale copies.
The objectui site (measured at main 4be76e0)
apps/console/src/pages/settings/useSettingsLabel.ts: the docblock's convention list (:9-14) andSettingsLabelHelpers(:33-47) havegroups,keysandactionshelpers, and nobannershelper.apps/console/src/pages/settings/SettingsField.tsx:273-281, theinfo_bannerarm:<AlertTitle>{literalLabel}</AlertTitle>and{spec.bannerText}. Both are the manifest literals, while thegrouparm two blocks up (:256-258) askslabels.groupTitle(spec.id, …).
So a zh-CN, ja-JP or es-ES admin reads every settings banner in the manifest's English, even once the bundle carries the translation.
What done looks like
SettingsLabelHelpersgains a banner title and a banner text helper that readbanners.BANNER_ID.title/.textthrough the hook's existingresolve(), with the manifest literal as the fallback. The docblock lists the two paths.- The
info_bannerarm asks them whenspec.idis set, exactly as thegrouparm does. - A test: a bundle with
settings.NAMESPACE.banners.ID.{title,text}renders the translated pair; a miss renders the manifest literals. - ⛔ No consumer-side reading of any other spelling (
banner, notices, bannerTextas a leaf). The platform refuses those by name at its door.
Same arm, two renderer gaps (in scope at triage's choice)
#23855's downstream section offers these to the same card. Both are measured at 4be76e0:
bannerSeverity: 'warning'renders in thedefaultvariant. The arm maps onlyerrortodestructive, and Settings pages: no duplicated action labels, warnings out of the subtitle, Cloud Connection says its sentence once #12610's target 2 asked for an amber callout. #23839's four banners are allwarning.bannerTextis declared a markdown body in the spec (settings-manifest.zod.ts:540,.describe('Markdown body (info_banner)')), and the arm renders it as plain text.
If triage would rather route these to a separate card, this card is the reader alone.
