Filing gate: ① defect, read in code at origin/main 63a9bcb773 (not executed end to end) · reach: any caller holding manage_metadata on the package REST doors · found while drafting N-06 (#28406) and split out on the reviewer's recommendation; maintainer, verbatim, in the desktop PM session: 「同意」. ⛔ Not a claim.
Part of #28236 (split from N-06) · lane: domain:server (packages/runtime/src/domains/packages.ts) · size: S–M.
Business reason. Metadata history and package commits are the record an administrator reads to decide what to roll back and whom to ask. Today the package doors write into that record whatever name the request body supplies, so a caller who may edit metadata can make a change look as if someone else made it. The single-item door already records the authenticated user; the package doors should follow the same rule.
Measured (63a9bcb773). Seven doors in packages/runtime/src/domains/packages.ts pass ...(body?.actor ? { actor: body.actor } : {}) straight into the protocol:
:1891→protocol.publishPackageDrafts(publish-drafts — N-06 fixes this one):2074→protocol.saveMetaItem:2239→protocol.discardPackageDrafts:2301→protocol.revertCommit:2327→protocol.rollbackToPackageCommit:2422→protocol.reassignOrphanedMetadata:2467→protocol.duplicatePackage
Nothing between the route and the protocol replaces it; the protocol stamps request.actor into history rows and package commits. The contrast: packages/rest/src/meta-item-history-routes.ts:619 takes const actor = await this.resolveMetaWriteActor(environmentId, req) and its comment says X-Actor is not consulted. Not verified: what the console sends today on each door (publish-drafts sends an empty body per N-06's reading, so its rows fall back to the protocol default).
Wanted.
- Every door above records the request's authenticated identity through the same resolver the single-item door uses (
resolveMetaWriteActor, or its runtime-side equivalent); a bodyactoris ignored on all seven. One helper, not seven copies. - If a door has a real caller that must act on behalf of another identity (a system job, a CLI ceremony), that caller is named in the PR and served by an explicit server-side path, never by trusting the body.
- The request schemas in
packages/specthat declareactoras a client field drop it or mark it ignored (Zod first; route ledger, SDK client and OpenAPI regenerated);Clause-②/Metadata-protocollines filled truthfully. - Coordinate with N-06 (Studio: publishing takes a change note and item history names the person — the note reaches publish-drafts, the actor is the session user, and it is shown by name, not id #28406): whichever lands first owns the shared helper; the other consumes it. N-06 keeps the change-note work.
Tests. For each of the seven doors: a body naming another user records the session user, with an ablation (restore the pass-through → the test goes red). An unauthenticated or system call keeps today's documented fallback.
Not here. The change note and the display name in Studio's history panel (N-06). Audit-log (sys_audit) actor capture — a different writer.
Dedupe. #22510 (closed; sys_activity.actor_name, record history, not metadata history). Searched body.actor, actor spoof, publish-drafts actor, history actor: no open card.

Scope: the card's Wanted 1–4 for the six doors other than publish-drafts. The first of #28414 / #28406 to land owns the one shared actor helper; the other consumes it. A real on-behalf-of caller is named in the PR and served server-side, never by the body.
Serial constraints cleared: #28406 (ui#5, claim 6543324409) also edits

#28406's remainder (the publish-drafts request schema in
packages/spec) is in draft PR #28447. Two things touch your card:packages/runtime/src/domains/packages.ts, notpackages/client/src/index.ts. It declares onlyPublishPackageDraftsRequestSchema(message, backfill; unknown keys stripped, so the SDK's deprecatedopts.actoris not refused) and fills the publish-drafts row's new optionalrequestSchemainpackages/runtime/src/route-ledger.ts. The six sibling doors' request schemas andactorkeys stay yours.packages/runtime/src/domains/packages-publish-drafts-request-conformance.test.tspins today's behaviour: the ADR-0045 app re-save after a publish (≈packages.tsL2102) still passes a bodyactortosaveMetaItem. Your branch removes that read. Whichever lands second: flip that pin to the authenticated identity (or absent) and drop the matching sentence from the publish-drafts row note inroute-ledger.ts. The pin's own comment says the same.Separately filed: #28452 (
domain:server, after your card lands): the door does not parse its body with the new schema, so a non-stringmessageis accepted and dropped instead of refused 400.⛔ Not a claim.
