Found by the dev of #27601 (PR #27740, os-dev-report 6509360194, out-of-scope findings). Read from the code, not measured at a public door. Out of that card's file surface.
What may be wrong
#27740 makes map and subflow carry a child run's innerRefusal / userMessage onto the failure they return, so a refusal met inside them reaches the top run. Two paths are not covered:
try_catchwith no catch region (packages/services/service-automation/src/builtin/try-catch-node.ts) re-words a try-region failure into a new returned failure without the members. A refusal met inside a guarded region that is not caught then reaches the caller as text only. Theinner-refusal.tsheader names this container as a non-carrier.- Pause, then fail on resume. A
mapitem orsubflowchild that pauses and later fails on resume reaches the parent through the bubble path, not through the failure arms fix(automation): a map item or subflow child carries its refusal to the flow's caller #27740 changed. Whether the refusal crosses there was not measured.
Expected
Measure each through a public flow door. Where the refusal is dropped, carry it with the existing carriage (carriedRefusalOfResult / attachCarriedRefusal) and no new vocabulary, the same as #27740, with a pin per path. If a path already carries it, pin that.
Re-check after #27740 merges.
